Move forward and dock. Then, run up and speak to the man above. He'll give you your next mission: Take a picture of Pterolimax. Good times.

Pass through the tunnel. Pass through the opening to your right and jump into the large open vent. On the other side you'll run into some funny little creature on the ground. Snap their PICTURE, then grab the Starkos and Boost. Notice the gated tunnel. Neither you nor Pey'J can deal with that now, but you'll be able to soon, so backtrack out and continue into the room with the large door. Notice there's a platform to your right. Don't worry about getting up there now, but notice it. When you're done with that, walk up to the large door. Here you will perform your first true tag team maneuver. Step on one of the arrow pads, then hit Pey'J's action button (which will read "Action" for you). Once the both of you are on an arrow pad, the door will open for you. Pass through.

Here you will find yourself in the Ancient Mine. There will be a fly in this area. Go ahead and snap his PICTURE. It will seem that you are stuck. Walk up to Pey'J and "Talk" when the icon appears. Pey'J will show you his Jetboots, and you'll learn about the "Super-Action" (same button as Action, you just have to wait for it to read "Super-Action"). So, with that, walk over to the machine and step on the lowered panel. Hit "Super-Action" and Pey'J will come over and hit the slightly raised panel, shooting you to the platform above. Pull yourself up and run around to the left.

Here you'll find two bridges at angles. There's a structure between them with a central cog. Walk up to the structure and use your own "Action" button to turn the cog and lower the bridges. Pey'J will take the one to your left to meet you. Together, take the one to your right. Locate the Evacuation Map. Snap a picture of it then Analyze it. This puts the level's map in your subscreen. Continue along the path until you get to the dead end.

In front of you is a creature in the ground, and a couple stacks of explosive boxes. First, take a PICTURE of the creature in the ground. Next, approach the creature. Notice Pey'J gets a "Super=Action" icon. Hit it and notice the creature in the ground emerges as a big bubble. If you swing at the bubble, then use your control stick to aim it, you can hit the explosive boxes with the creature, causing them to blow up. Enter the small room to the right to collect the treat, then head left. Here you'll encounter a Jelly-fish like creature blocking your way. Take its PICTURE, then whack it with your staff to have it suck in the tentacles so you may pass by. Also, be sure to pick up the Materia Crystals it drops, as these count as 5 credits each.

Moving forward, Pey'J will find another gate. Again, you're not yet equipped to move through gates, so focus on what's behind you: An upright bridge. Behind it are more explosive boxes on a little track. Move behind the track and you'll find another ground bubble creature. First, use it to hit the surrounding huge purple crystals (this will give you more Materia Crystals), then use it to hit the explosive boxes again. Doing this successfully will lower the bridge. Take the bridge across.

At the top of the bridge look left. Notice the blow lightning bugs? Snap a PICTURE. Once you have that, head right and you'll be attacked by a flying centipede. Get it's picture, then start fighting. Simply swing your staff at him to take him out. Once he's toast, continue forward to the dead end. Here, push the little car forward to the end of the track, then locate the large cog to the left of it. Approach it and hit "Action" to lower the coal shoot. Jump into the car, then up to the shoot. Move forward through the Secondary Shaft.

You will be attacked by Jellies here. Again, snap a PICTURE, then start fighting. If Pey'J gets hurt, you can either approach him and select your Starkos. Wait for it to read "Give" and give it to Pey'J to eat. Otherwise, you can easily do it in your sub-menu.

Fight the Jellies and the flying centipedes. Snap a PICTURE of the huge hard-shelled Jellies you'll encounter along the path. To defeat them, use Pey'J's "Super-Action" to raise them up, then swing at their undersides. When all of the bad guys are cleared out, look around the room with your camera. There will be two big tentacled creatures sticking out from the wall. You don't need to fight them, but do get their PICTURE. From here, both of you step on the arrow pads to open the door at the end of the path.

In this next room, Save if you'd like and purchase the Starkos from the machine (again, if you'd like). Then approach the lockers and kick them open. Inside you'll find a Boost, a Box of K-Bups and a Wrench-Cutter for Pey'J. Approach the gate and hit Pey'J's Action Button. He'll open the gate with his new tool. Pass through the new opening. If you missed the earlier Map, there will be one in front of you again. If you have it already, there's no point in taking the picture. Continue forward to the large green sponge on the floor. Believe it or not, this is an animal. Take its PICTURE. Move past it and you'll come to a huge snail like creature attached to the wall. Wait for the snail to pop out and take its PICTURE. Turn back around. Notice the open area to the right if you're facing the map head on. Jump into in and you're in the Secondary Shaft again. Fight the jellies that appear, then backtrack to the gate you encountered earlier (next to the bridge you lowered with the explosives).

Here, have Pey'J cut through the gate. Move through and check out the Bups Machine. Buy the Starkos if you'd like, but definitely purchase the PA 1. This will increase your health meter. Continue forward. There's a gap in front of you. Press yourself against the back wall and you'll be able to shimmy across the small ledge. Pey'J isn't so lucky. Move along the path and climb up to the next level. In front of you is a machine which you need Pey'J for, and to your right is a bubble creature. Move past the bubble creature and up the ramp. Move behind the boxes of explosives and push them toward the bubble creature. Once you've done that, use Pey'J's "Super-Action" to get the bubble to emerge, then first swing toward the giant crystal for credits, then take aim at the explosives. Hitting the explosives will lower the bridge. Pey'J will meet you, which will trigger some flying centipedes. Kill them, then cross the bridge you just lowered for Pey'J and step into the small tunnel behind it. Crouch at the barrier then take a PICTURE of the little amoebaee who pops his head up. Exit out then move up to the panel machine with Pey'J. Stand on the lower panel, just as you did before, and use Pey'J's "Super-Action" to shoot you up to the platform above.

On the platform, run right. Pey'J will tell you to open the door for him. Drop down into the next area, Save, if you'd like, then hit the hand button. This opens the door to Pey'J. Before having Pey'J cut through the gate, locate the power box to the left of the desk. Give it a swift kick to momentarily turn out the lights. Look up with your camera and take a PICTURE of the glowing animals above you. Once you've done that, have Pey'J cut open the gate in this area and pass through. You'll be in the Main Shaft.

Move forward and you'll get a quick cutscene, then you'll be attacked by some funny looking goblin creatures. Snap a PICTURE of them, then start swinging. You can use Pey'J's "Super-Action" to swing them at the purple crystals for credits and into the bridge (which will lead you to a huge purple crystal and a reader), otherwise, simple swinging will do the job. Once they're all toasted, look around with your camera. You should see above you a "Seashell Family" swimming around. Snap a PICTURE of them. Once pictures are covered, walk up to the cog and hit "Action". This lowers a platform to the right. Go ahead and jump up on it, then up to the next area. Buy what you want from the Bups machine, then make your way along the back tunnel, whacking at the anemones so they suck in their tentacles.

Continue moving forward to the tall purple anemone. Whack it, then use Pey'J's "Super-Action" to seal the deal. Then walk over it and into the next area. Cross over the bridge and onto the platform. When you get to the center part, Pey'J will tell you that you've reached your goal. The two Pterolimax are in the open area. Zoom in with your camera and take their PICTURE. Make sure the two are both visible. Once you have the shot, send it to De Castellac and Publish your report.

This will all trigger your first "Boss-Fight". When you spot the guy and first get control of Jade, get a PICTURE. Once you have this, wait for this Pterolimax Gigantea to emerge from a hole. Use Pey'J's "Super-Action" to stun him, then start swinging. Once he's had enough, he'll disappear into the ground and send some little enemies after you. Toast them and repeat the process. Eventually the Pterolimax will start with a new attack. He'll actually emerge from his hole and spit a green goo down at you from above. Just outrun it by moving around with your "Run" button. Continue this process of shocking, attacking, and running until the Pterolimax dies, then grab the PEARL. Here will be a cutscene. Apparently you've just succeeded in an Iris Network test, and you learn about the dirtiness of the Alpha Sections. You are told to meet up at the Akuda Bar, and ask for Peepers.
