"Call of Juarez" Game Guide and Walkthrough

Episode VII

From the start, equip your bow and arrow and head forward along the path. You'll encounter many wolves along the way and, yes, you'll have to take them out. Holding LT while aiming your bow is very effective. Be sure to walk back over the dead wolves to reclaim your arrows. Keep going until you get to the farm/ranch (head to the green dot on the compass).

If you go in the main entrance the owner will shoo you away. Go to the right of the main entrance and follow the fence until you locate a broken part of the fence. Hop over the broken fence and head left along the fence. Be sure you're crouching so as not to make any noise. You'll soon reach another broken part that you can hop over. Do so and enter the barn. Approach the horse and you'll be told that you need a saddle.

Why can't you ride bareback? Oh well. Exit the barn and hang a right. Be sure that you're crouching as the ranch owner is patrolling the ground. If you can't locate him, try zooming in (click down on the Right Control Stick). Once you locate him, wait for him to turn his back or be walking away from you.

Once he isn't paying attention to you, the first thing you should do is make your way toward the covered wagon and hop into it. You can hide in/under any of the shrubs in the area and not be seen (look at your Sneak Meter). Here, you'll grab the Sniper Rifle.

If you are spotted you have about 3 seconds to hide again. If you do, he'll forget that you're there.


You are safe in the wagon, so wait until you see the ranch owner go away and then sneak into the house. The Saddle in on the ground floor. It may be in a corner or in the side room (if you can't find it, look upstairs, too). If you want a Pistol there is one on a desk in the upstairs hallway. Grab the Saddle.

Sneaking back through the yard is much easier without having to carry the saddle, so, head upstairs, exit out onto the balcony and follow it around to the right. When you get to the end of the balcony, stand up and toss the saddle (RT) over the railing so that it ends up laying in the field you came through earlier.

Carefully sneak back inside, go downstairs, and sneak back through the yard using whatever path you wish...going from shrub to shrub works well. Retrieve the saddle and bring it to the horse. It'll automatically be put on the horse for you.

Horse riding is pretty easy. It is completely controlled by your Left Control Stick. While riding, you can use your Right Control Stick to look around and aim. The horse can also jump by pushing A, but you have to do while the horse is running.


Get onto the horse. Guide it out of the barn and hit A to make it jump the fence you came through. Then, backtrack to the other fence you came through and jump it. You'll have now left the ranch/farm.

Head to the red dot, a large gap that you have to jump. Approach the gap slowly so that you can see it and then go back and line yourself up with it. Get a good running start and hit A to jump the gap.

Continue galloping along until you can go no farther. You'll automatically dismount from the horse. Drop down the ledge and use your whip on the branch to cross the gap. Go under the next branch and attach your whip to it. Once attached, hit LB to climb up and then push forward and back to swing. Hit A to release to the next ledge. Continue to hold A in case you don't quite make the jump...this way you'll automatically grab the ledge and climb up.

Jump the next gap, continue forward, and you'll come to a burning wagon and some Apaches. Use whatever you like to take them out. I used the bow and arrow. Once they're taken out feel free to swap out your Sniper Rifle for a Shotgun if you please, however, I strongly recommend that you keep the sniper rifle. Head past the wagon and hop on one of the horses on the left.

Ride along the path (yes, you will be going in the opposite direction of the dot for a time), kill the Apaches if you want, but otherwise, just ride past them. After you cross the natural bridge, hang a right and continue along the path. You'll have to jump a gap across another natural bridge and shortly thereafter will be shown some Apaches up on higher ground, near a campfire, in front of you.

At this point, dismount (X) from your horse and use your Sniper Rifle (if you still have it) to take out the Apaches. If there are any nearby Apaches, take them out however you see fit.

After the Apaches are eliminated, head up the path towards them and go past the hill they were on. You'll see another horse on the left. Hop on and ride until you see a lone Apache on the path. Stop and shoot him with your bow and arrow for a silent kill (if you make noise, more Apaches will attack from above). Proceed forward and you'll realize that the path is blocked by a large boulder.

Just before the boulder is a series of ledges going up the right wall. Climb up the ledges and then use your whip on the branch above to get to the highest ledge (climb up your whip). Immediately pull out your bow or sniper rifle and take out the Apache in front of you who is about to shoot you. Then, run backwards to avoid the fire of other Apaches in the area. When you're safe, make your way forward again, this time moving slowly and looking out for those rascally Apaches. When it's safe, head left down the hill and back to the path.

Kill the wolves that attack as you make your way along the path. You'll soon get to an Apache camp. You can try to sneak by using the ledges on the right and then sneaking past on the right, or you can go in there and eliminate them. Either way, get past the camp and continue along the path. Up ahead in another Apache group, this one near a wagon. You can go up there and take them on (there is sniper rifle ammo up there which is key) or stick to the lower path and go by them.

Keep going and you'll soon see a natural rock arch up the path from you. Use the sniper rifle to shoot the Apache on the bridge and the one below it. Move forward, taking cover behind the rocks and snipe the other two Apaches under the arch. Go up there and you'll see that it's a dead end. Facing the arch, head right, going down the hill and snipe the final two Apaches, one on the left, one on the right, near the bottom of the hill.

After they're dead, go to the bottom of the hill, but be careful not to fall down off the cliff. Go to the left side of the cliff's edge and look down. You'll see a small green ledge. Slide down the cliff to that ledge and then continue along the path to the left. You'll soon get a load screen.

After the load, equip your bow and arrow and continue along the path. Take out the wolves. You'll soon approach Molly's farm. You have to get her to see you without being spotted.

First, you have to infiltrate the farm. Instead of going up to the farm, head along the path to the left of the farm (from the checkpoint starting point, head left). This will lead you to the horse paddock of the farm. You'll see the fence on your right. At the end of the fence you'll spot a broken part. Hide in the bushes near it and wait for the two cowboys to leave. Then, hop the fence and make your way to the bushes near the water tower.

From the bushes near the water tower, locate the nearby black horse. Wait for the cowboy who's patrolling this side of the paddock to work his way back toward you. When he crosses by you, head to the horse and get on the left side of him. Hit X to make him start walking. Then, use him as a shield as you sneak along with him towards the next set of bushes farther along the fence. Crouch and hide here.

Again, wait for the patrolling cowboy to come your way and then turn around again. When he's heading away from you, head toward the bushes near the building, not far from the wagon against the building. Hide in these bushes and wait until it's safe again.

Next, hop up into the wagon against the barn and climb up the crates. Then crawl through the open window and into the building/barn.

Yay! You made it inside the barn. Make sure you're crouching. Head to the far side of the barn and cross over the planks. You'll fall into a stall and rile a horse, who conveniently kicks open the stall doors for you, leading to the outside. As soon as you fall, though, you need to hide behind the hay bails on the right or you'll be spotted. Wait for the cowboys who check in on the horse to leave.

Exit the stall and then carefully make your way to the outhouse to your right. Make sure nobody is around and then move a small crate up against the outhouse. Use it to climb up and onto the outhouse. Hop over the fence.

Head left to the back of the small house (the worker's quarters) and use the crate/platform there to climb up and into the bedroom. Exit out to the main room and then exit out to the porch. Make sure nobody is around and then head left on the porch and then forward and hide behind the outhouse. There are some nearby bushes in front of the outhouse that you can hide under as well.

Wait for the patrolling cowboy to go by and then go left, all the way around to the back side of the house (keep your eye out for anybody and use the bushes/crates to sneak your way there). Enter the house via the door at the back and move straight forward to the staircase. Go up and then head along the hall. Attempt to open the last door on the right and you'll get a cutscene.

Chat challenges you to a fight for Molly. Fisticuffs up! You know how to fist fight. Do so. After a few cutscenes, the level will end.
