Scout the factory entrance.

Head forward along the path. Go through the lighted gate/checkpoint and continue along the path. Control will tell you about the new wretches that you'll soon encounter: Lambent Wretches. They have been exposed to too much imulsion. They glow and will explode when shot. Continue toward the entrance and you'll get a cutscene.

Find an entrance to the factory.

Head down the road. There is some ammo in front of the van on the left. There is also more ammo in the guard booth on the right. Turn the corner and kill the wretches. Be careful, because they explode after they are dead. There is more ammo near the van on the left. Go into the lighted entrance in front of you. More wretches. Kill them.

Follow the catwalk and then continue forward along the path (kind of looks like railroad tracks). Lining the right side of this path are several large brick buildings. The first one is sealed. The second one can be entered via the door on the backside of it. Here you find an elevator but it needs power. Before you continue on, go to the right side of the building to find a dock extending into the water. At the end of the dock is a COG TAG (19 of 30).

Continue on the path to the third brick building. Here you'll find some control panels and a generator. Power up the generator and return to the elevator in the previous building. Kill the wretch outside the building. Go up the elevator. Exit, go down the ramp and climb through the broken window. Move into the hallway and head left for a cutscene.

Find the cart control room.

You can take either the left or right hall. The left hall allows you access to a bathroom where there is ammo, if you need it. There are two green buttons doors, both leading to the same area: one down the right hall, one down the left hall. The first button you push will not work (no matter if it's the left or right hall). Head around to the other green button door and go through it. Follow the path and kick down the next door you get to.

In this room, hang a right to find a green button door. It requires a security code. Go to the green button door on the left to find a stranded. He'll open the security door for you. Follow him, keep an eye out for ammo along the way (there is some in a side room of the catwalk/grated floor area...watch out for the wretch). You'll eventually go down some stairs and come to a wooden floor area where the stranded will fall through.

You have to navigate the wooden floor so you don't fall through. It seems that the weak spots in the floor change with each load, so you simply have to be careful. You'll hear the floor cracking before it breaks. If you hear it, back up. I had success, numerous times, by heading right, toward the green light. Don't go too far into the green light. The floor will break if you do. Instead, turn left at the corner of the generator and stick to the generators the whole way down. In the back right corner you'll find a COG TAG (20 of 30). Be careful when grabbing it as there are weak boards near it. Once you make it all the way to the other side, go through the door. (Note, if you do fall through, there is a ladder that takes you back up to the beginning so that you can start over...or, just die and restart.)

You are now in another generator room. You can move at regular speed again. There is some ammo, grenades, and a shotgun in this room. I recommend taking the shotgun to replace the sniper rifle as the shotgun is good in close quarters with the wretches. Continue through the two green button doors.

Here you have to battle some wretches. Use your shotgun and run forward in a circular pattern around the room shooting wretches as you see them. Don't worry about aiming, just point try to fire in their general direction. Remember, if you get too close after you kill them, they explode. So, always stay on the move. If you have some chasing you, turn and fire, and turn back around and run away from them. I did not have success simply backing away from them while firing. That's why I recommend the move forward in a circle and shoot method.

When they're all dead, head up the stairs into the room, proceed through the door and follow the path to the room with the red wheel. Turn the wheel to open the door and head down the stairs. At the bottom, you'll find some ammo and a sniper rifle. I recommend keeping your shotgun as it comes in handy against the wretches. Enter the next room to meet up with Alpha Squad.

Locate the red wheel and turn it to open the gate to the right and left of it. Go through. You are now in a room with a many wretches and two or three grubs. It is a brick walled area with cart tracks. The wretches will fall from the ceiling. Try to shoot them while they're up there. Clear the area and then go to the far side from where you entered. Head right and locate the grenades on the landing of the small staircase. Then, go all the way to the left to find a door you can kick open. Kick it to discover that you can't kick it open. Jack the flying robot will rip it open for you.

Two boomers will begin their descent in the nearby elevator. Watch as they come down and ready your grenades. As soon as they get to the bottom, before the gates to the elevator open, start tossing grenades in at them. Toss every grenade you have. If this doesn't kill them, finish them off with regular gun fire. Grab a boomer grenade launcher in exchange for your shotgun if you like. I suggest keeping the shotgun.

Wait for flying robot Jack to open the door you couldn't kick open. Go through. You have found the cart room! Stock up on ammo (there is a ton of ammo here). At the bottom of the stairs, to the right of the stairs, is a COG TAG(21 of 30).

Ride the carts to the core room.

Go into the control room. Push the green button and go down the stairs to the carts. You'll automatically hop in. Shoot the enemies as you ride the cart. The thing you don't want to happen is to have a wretch drop into your cart and explode. Shoot the wretches from as far away as possible. You may decide the assault rifle is best or you may like the shotgun, your choice. As far as grubs firing at you, just stay ducked and you won't have any problems.

Get to the core room.

Go through the first green button door. Push the green button on the next door. Help kill the wretch in the room next to you where your squadmates are. Then, go through the door, kill the wretches and proceed until you are in a tunnel. Kill as you go. At the end of the tunnel is the core room.

Control will tell you that they're raising the platforms for you. Take cover. At the end of the catwalk you'll see a platform rise up...with a boomer on it! From cover, shoot the boomer. Then, help your squadmates shoot the boomer that came up on their side. When both boomers are dead, go onto the platform. You'll get a cutscene of you riding it down.

Locate the pumping station before dawn.

Follow the pathway straight forward. You'll come to a fork in the path: left and straight. Go straight to find a COG TAG (22 of 30) and grenades. Then, return to the fork in the path and take the left path. At the lightpost, you can go down the side path to find lots of ammo and a sniper rifle. I suggest you grab the sniper rifle. Return and continue down the path. Kill the six wretches. Proceed and you'll slip and fall, thus riding a waterfall down.

Regroup with Baird and Gus.

Follow the path and take cover just before the river. You'll be attacked by four grubs. Kill them (I sniped them). Proceed and head up the stairs. Kick open the door for ammo and grenades. To the right of the stairs is a COG TAG (23 of 30). Continue along the path. You'll get a "Y" icon telling you about the "weakened column" across the cavern from you. Shoot the column which will cause rocks to fall on the enemies' heads. Continue, killing as you go.

At the next checkpoint, note the narrow side path to the left; this leads to ammo. Continue forward for a cutscene of a boomer. Kill the wretches first. Then, take cover and snipe the boomer. Continue along the path, which soon turns left. You'll see some ammo and a shotgun on your right. Keep moving forward and you'll fall through a hole.

After falling through the hole, you are in a cavern. Kill the wretches. The last wretch will blow up next to the stalagmites, thus opening a path for you. Go forward for decision time: Left path or Right path?

It doesn't matter which you choose. You'll pretty much be side-by-side with you squadmate either way. Simply follow the path and kill as you go until you regroup.

Follow the path down to the yellow/brown lava area. There is a small side path to the right for ammo and grenades. Soon you'll be in another battle. There are several wretches and four or five grubs. The grubs are aggressive, so have your chainsaw ready if they charge. Otherwise, snipe them from a distance. Proceed until you get the cutscene of the Corpser.

You are now in a fairly open area. To the right is some ammo and a COG TAG (24 of 30). Continue forward.

Kill the Corpser

That's not a spider, that's a Corpser! He's pretty easy to beat. Shoot him in the "soft belly". You have access to it when he raises his legs. After a few successful shots to the belly (you'll see black blood splatter out), he'll raise up and open his mouth. When he does this, shoot him in the mouth. Do this two more times and the Corpser will have backed up onto a platform. There are two clasps holding the platform. Each clasp has a blue light in it. Stand on the clasp as bait. When you see the corpser rear up to strike at you, roll backwards, out of the way. Do this for each of the two clasps.

During this battle, wretches will attack. However, if you do it fast enough, they won't be a bother to you. If you are going slow, then take your time and defeat the wretches, then reconcentrate on the Corpser. Also note that there are two crates of ammo if you need them.

Locate the pumping station before dawn.

Continue along the path. You'll meet up with Gus and Baird. Continue forward to the area with the imulsion waterfalls.

Continue forward. At the ammo crate note the fork in the path. Go right to find the Torque Bow. It fires an explosives-tipped arrow. To fire it, aim and then hold "RT" until it is fully charged. Release "RT" to fire it. It offers you a blue laser to aim. You can pick it up if you like, however, I recommend sticking with the sniper rifle. However, do whatever you please. Continue along the path to find the pumping station.

Secure the pumping station.

This is a long battle. Just be patient. You send Cole and Baird to the right to flank. You should head straight. Soon, you learn about Theron Guards (like Charlize Theron?). These guys are pretty nasty. The are quicker, smarter, and harder to kill than grubs. They can be armed with a torque bow, a sniper rifle, or an assault rifle. I had the most success staying on the perimeter of the station and shooting them with the sniper rifle. After I cleared out about four or five of them, I slowly made my way onto the platform. Taking cover always, I used the assault rifle to finish off the remaining four or five with the help of my squadmates.

Restore power to the elevator.

Use "Y" to locate the generator. It's not on the platform itself, but behind it, near the footbridge. Hit the green button. You get a cutscene of the resonator being placed. You end up back outside. Ahh, daylight! The movie sequence will explain some things to you.
