The Temple of Helios

Continue down the path and you'll eventually find yourself trapped with a couple of Undead and a Siren. Take them out (I focused on the Undead first), then move out to the next road. At the end (the face) head down the dirt path to the right to the dead end. Climb the wall. Ignore the stairs at the first ledge, and continue up to the top (jump the gap on the way with "X" and your control stick), where you'll encounter a cutscene.

Back up a few steps and cross the pool to the right for a Goron Eye (5/5). Return to the statue and enter the small building ahead to Save (ignore the stairs for now). Once all is saved, pull the lever and ride the platform up.

Immediately head down the stairs to the right for a Phoenix Feather (5/5), then head back up and face the Satyrs (nothing tricky here). Back up to the stairs to the left, move down them to the next set of Centaurs. Eliminate them, then pull the lever, thus opening a nearby gate. Return to the platform (if your health is OK, grab the Blue magic from the Blue/Green chest) and head back down to the below level.

Exit and move up the stairs to the left. Here you'll encounter a Centaur battle. Use all the magic you have taking them out, then use your Cyclones of Chaos. These guys will continue to regenerate for some time, so you need to focus on staying alive. The best way to do this is to stay close to them and keep hitting. If you give them an opening, they'll shoot a fireball your way, which can do a lot of damage.

Once the blade-wielding Centaurs down, continue forward along the path and pass through the game you opened moments ago. Head up the stairs and eliminate the Centuar here. Pull the lever and move through the gate. You will be in familiar territory. Approach the glowing door and pull it down with "Circle".

Move through the halls, smashing vases and collecting from chests as you go. Eventually you'll reach a room with several Harpies in it (easy kills, particularly compared to the Satyrs). Clear them out, then pull both statues toward the middle of the room, thus revealing two levers. Pull the levers to open up two new areas. Enter the left area to Save. Note the locked door here, then backtrack and pass through the new area to the right. Fight the Undead Swordsmen. (Note, unlike the Satyrs, you'll want to give these guys some space, as their attacks come at you no matter what, and area damaging. For this reason, short and quick Heavy or Light attacks are your best bet. Also, you might want to save your magic for the 2nd and 3rd Swordsmen, as they appear together and are, therefore, tougher to battle.

When the Swordsmen go down, pull the lever, then return to the Save point. Save again (if you care to do so), then move through the newly opened door.

Move forward, then down the staircase to the right. Collect the Phoenix Feather from the chest near the base of the stairs, then cross either bridge and step onto the central platform. Shatter both of the glowing locks, then eliminate the many enemies as you ride the lift down. Remember, evasion and quick hits ("Square" worked best for me) are most effective against these Swordsmen.

Upon taking out all five Swordsmen, you'll be faced with one more enemy, an Armored Knight. The Knight is big, but, he's easier to beat than the Swordsmen, as long as you break his shield. To do this, use your new combo against him: "Square", "Square", "Triangle". Once his shield is broken, have at him as you normally would. A couple of rounds of Cyclone of Chaos should get him to the point of a mini-game. If you don't hit him, he'll regenerate his shield. If this happens, simply break it and try again.

Breaking Armor: A simple combo will break armor. "Square", "Square", "Triangle".

Once you've taken out hte Armored Knight, exit the platform and collect from the many chests. (Note, this is where I upgraded my Blades of Chaos to Level 3). Move up either set of stairs and enter the next area.

Head left (toward the Red Chests), and note the glowing pillar to your right. Push it down, then cross over to the platform. A cutscene will reveal the Sun Shield. To reach it, move to the opposite side of the platform and locate the twinkle on the ground. Stand next to it and hit "Circle" to pull down a different pillar. Cross it, head right for a Gorgon Eye, then work your way left and up the stairs to enter room with the Sun Shield.

Approach the stone throne in the middle of the room and shatter it with your blades. Collect the Sun Shield, thus bringing forth a few enemies.

Helios Reverse: With your new Sun Shield in tow, tap "L" immediately before an enemy attack hits to parry. This will momentarily stun your enemy, giving you time to get a hit in.

Use the Helios Reverse and your quick hits to eliminate the Swordsmen, then insert your Sun Shield into the glowing door. Before moving through the new door, move down either of the side halls, up the stairs, and onto the balcony to collect from various chests (including one with a Gorgon Eye). Once complete, return downstairs, enter the room past the Sun Shield door, and Save.

Head up the spiral staircase and you'll find yourself back near the Temple entrance. Head up the stairs and fight the Archers and Sabertooth Tigers. (Note, at this point I upgraded The Efreet to Level 2). Once your enemies are no more, place the Sun Shield in the middle of the circular floor, then move down the revealed staircase. Again, insert your Shield into the door, then enter the room behind it.

Push the two statues forward into the glowing squares, then pull on the resulting glowing handle. Pull the block all of the way back, then double jump and pull yourself up to the first ledge, then the second, before the wall flattens again.

Examine the statue of Euros, the East Wind, then insert the Sun Shield into the door for a couple of Red Chests. Return to the ground and pull the wall out again. This time, release, then move along the left side of the wall and into the hidden chamber. Move along it to the room behind.

Collect the Phoenix Feather from the back right corner, then pull back the two statues so their light beams are highlighting the sun symbols on the altar. This will create a glowing circle on the altar. Stand in the light circle and hold up your Sun Shield. Tap "Circle" as prompted, then return to the previous room. Climb the wall one more time and insert the Sun Shield into the base of the Euros statue. Move down the resulting staircase and hallway.

Back in the central room of the temple, head right for a Gorgon Eye, then make your way left to the glowing doorway. Pass through it.

Save then hop into the water. Swim right for a Gorgon Eye, then return to the center and climb up onto the platform with the two torches. Climb the wall up, then right. Pass behind the head of the statue and dismount on the opposite side. Collect from the small statue Triton's Lance, which gives you the ability to breathe underwater.

Hop into the water and try out your new skills ("Square" to dive, "Triangle" or "X" to surface, control stick to move). Swim first to the left and locate the two chests. Open them for Orbs (or a Phoenix Feather or Gorgon Eye, if you missed one earlier). Note, to open chests while swimming, you must hold down "Circle" longer than normal.

Once the chests have been popped, swim into the right corner. Break through the bars by holding and releasing "R", then swim into the small room behind them. From here, swim down the hall to the right, then left, then work your way around to the next set of bars. Break through them. Swim down the chest lined hall (collect the Phoenix Feather), then head left. Swim past the fallen pillar, then break through the small set of bars to the right. From here, swim left and through the final set of bars. Pull the lever.

Note, at this point I upgraded my Sun Shield to Level 2.

Swim up to the surface then climb that same wall you climbed earlier. This time, however, move up and left. Once behind the statue's head, continue up so you're hanging from the "ceiling". Move across it, then up again. Enter the alcove at the top and move through the door.

Fight the Mega Minotaur (evasion, combined with a couple Efreets along with a few Cyclones of Chaos should do the job), then turn the resulting lever and cross the bridge. Open the door and enjoy your cutscene with Eos. Once complete, move down the river. When the river deepens, dive and retrieve the Gorgon Eye (5/5). Surface and continue forward to the Undead Swordsmen. (Note, if you have upgraded your Blades of Chaos to Level 3, the Spirit of Hercules works well against these guys.) Continue through the doorway and Save.

Enter the next room and collect the Primordial Fire.

Helios Reflect: Tap "L" to repel enemy projectiles immediately before they make contact.

Use your new Helios Reflect on the three statues that come to life around you. Upon doing so you'll earn the Light of Dawn, a new Magic attack.

The Light of Dawn: This is the second of your Magic abilities. To pull it off, hold down "R", then press "Square" to activate the Solar Flare. Still holding, use the control stick to aim the light at the enemy of your choosing, then release to do damage to said enemy.

Use your new magic skill on the surrounding enemies. Once all have fallen the floor will rise. Pass through the opening to your left then move toward the bottom of the screen for a Phoenix Feather. Make your way down the hall and through the open door to the left (pass the door if you want some Red Orbs via a couple of chests, then return).

Move down that hall to the left and open the door with your shield. Hop down and eliminate the four Undead Soldiers. Collect from the chests, then jump off the cliff into the water below. You will find yourself in familiar territory. Swim to your original entrance and Save.

Note, at this point I upgraded the Light of Dawn to Level 2.

Return to the Temple of Helios

Move through the painting, then place the Primordial Fire in the glowing circle at your feet. Move down the resulting light bridge, then cross the bridge to your left. Use your shield on the doorway here, then make your way down to the familiar platform. Place your Primordial Fire in it to ride it up. Simply use your Cyclone of Chaos over and over again on the Harpies to most easily eliminate them, and collect many, many Red Orbs.

Step off the lift, collect from the chests, and move up either set of stairs. Enter the room at the top, collect the Phoenix Feather (5/5), and Save.

Step into the Temple Courtyard and do battle with the Armor (remember, "Square", "Square", "Triangle" over and over to break his shield), along with anyone else who shows up. Once clear, move into the back left corner for a Gorgon Eye, examine the Notos, the South Wind, Statue, then place your shield in the glowing circle. This will raise a lever and expose four doors. For the sake of the walkthrough, we'll number the doors 1-4, 1 being the door closest to you and to your left, 4 being the door closest to you and to your right.

Pull the lever to put forward a beam of light. Push it left until it hits Door #2, thus revealing a statue. Pull the statue out, then place it on the circle across from Door #1. Activate the lever again (it should already be pointing in the right spot), and the beam will deflect off the statue and open Door #1. Another statue will be revealed. Leave it for now.

Push the lever to the right, so it hits Door #3. Leave the statue in place. Next, collect the statue behind Door #1 and move it in front of Door #4. Reactivate the beam of light to reveal the final statue.

With all four statues exposed, the goal is now to move them onto the correct circular plates. To do this, place the two statues that are facing away from you on the plates outside Doors #1 and #4. Place the statue facing right on the plate outside of Door #2, and the statue facing left on the plate outside of Door #3. When all four statues are in position, a central structure will rise from the middle. Point the light straight ahead at the structure. This will have two effects. First, the statues will send a beam around in a circle, second, a circle of light will appear on the raised structure (far side). Step into this circle of light and point your shield at the statue of Notos. Tap "Circle" as prompted, and this statue will reveal a shield slot. Insert your shield, enjoy the cutscene.

Return to the spot where the lever was and reinsert your shield. Ride the lift down, then cross the light bridge in front of you for a Phoenix Feather. Next, cross the light bridge to the right and move through the door. Make your way to the end of the hall and head up the stairs. Grab the Gorgon Eye from the chest on the right side, then push the statue to the right into the glowing slot. Break off the statue's head with your Blades and step into the glowing circle. Face the hole in the wall, put your shield forward ("L"), then tap "Circle" as prompted. This will raise the statue of Zephyros, the West Wind, above.

Climb the wall up to newly raised statue, and insert your shield. Move through the doorway, head down the stairs, and climb down the wall to the bottom. You'll be in familiar territory. After a quick cutscene you'll be faced with a few Swordsmen and Archers. Eliminate them, then make your way along the road to your next battle, which is more of the same, plus a couple of Sirens. When all is clear here, continue forward to the horse statues and Save.

Turn all three levers then activate the glowing circle.
