OBJECTIVE: Lower the Containment-Shield
During the cutscene, you watch as Master Chief is pulled underwater. Then, you shift to watching the Covenant. The arbiter is sent to pick up the sacred key from the library of Halo.
You are playing as the Covenant Arbiter again. Remember your active camouflage. Go towards the well-lighted ledge area and hop up there. Kill any red beam flying pods. Go up to the dark gray column and activate the Piston by holding "X" on the blue control switch on the column (piston). Drop down the hole it created and slide down the shaft.

Here is another Piston. Lower this Piston and drop down. In this large set of rooms, watch out for the flying red beam pods. You can destroy the shafts that these pods are coming out of. Look on the walls for white holes/shafts. Shoot the hole and it'll close off that shaft that the pods is coming from. You'll know you've destroyed a shaft because it isn't white anymore. Anyway, move forward through the room to the next Piston. Activate it and drop down.
In this new room, you'll see a blue laser along the ceiling. Work your way through the room, generally following the overhead blue laser while blowing up pod shafts. At the far end of the room, under the blue laser, you'll reach a triangle hallway bridge. Go across it and, again, blow up white pod shafts, and the pods themselves. At the end of the blue laser, look right to find another Piston. Activate the Piston to drop it then drop down.
Move along this room, destroying flying pods and their shafts. Go forward to the next Piston, activate it and drop down.
OBJECTIVE: Power-up the four Absorbers to lower the Containment-Shield.
You are told how to lower the Containment-Shield. First, deal with the floating sentry bot. It has a shield protecting his front, so get behind it or under it and blast away at it. If you can stick a few Plasmas Grenades to it, that will work as well. Next you have to locate the four Absorbers. In the center of this room, on the platform that the sentry bot was protecting, you'll see four blue-lighted columns. Go up to each one and it'll say, "Deactivate Plug Lock". Do this on all four columns. Next, a console will be revealed on the same platform. Go up to the blue flashing console switch and hold "X" to power down the Containment-Shield. The platform will drop and begin moving.
As you are floating across the gap, a Covenant ship will join you and provide some cover. When you reach the other side, destroy the pods and the white pod shafts and the various enemies lining the ledge. You'll have another sentry bot to deal with, too. When it's clear, find the large open door. Use the ledge below it to jump through.
OBJECTIVE: Make your way through the Flood-Infested Wall.
Work you way along another Flood infested hallway. This is a particularly tough area. There are a bunch of pod monsters in addition to mutant monsters. If you find a Shotgun, use it. It quickly takes out the mutants. Your second-best bet is dual SMGs. Also, be sure to activate your camouflage and make a run for it. At the end of this hallway, surprise, a Piston. Lower it and drop down.
This is another nasty area. Underneath the platforms of this area, you'll find a Rocket Launcher. It is useful for destroying the sentry bot flying around. Situate yourself so that the outside (snowing area) is to your right. Run along the area and on your left, you'll find another Piston that you can lower. Do so and drop down.
Go forward and you'll see another blue laser along the ceiling of this area. There are a lot of crates around. Follow the blue laser to the other end of the room, killing as you go, and go through the triangle hallway bridge. Again, follow the blue laser, through another triangle hallway bridge. You'll hear a Marine's voice telling his superior that, "Negative, ma'am, they are not Covenant." At the end of the blue laser, look left to find another Piston. Activate it and drop down.
Immediately, there is another Piston. Activate it and drop down. In this room, you are looking out onto some pretty clouds. There is another Piston. Activate it and drop down. This is a long slide one. At the bottom, you'll land on a crossbeam. Below, you'll have some tiny insect pods to deal with. You'll also have many slasher monsters. Stay up on the crossbeam and take out any enemies you can from above. When ready, drop down and kill off the rest of the enemies. The shotgun works well, and you will find an Energy Sword which was dropped by an enemy. Pick it up. You'll find another Piston. You know what to do. Another slide shaft. At the bottom go forward and the door will open.
100,000 Years War
OBJECTIVE: Rendezvous with your allies in the Covenant camp.
You are now outside. Phew! Pretty snow is falling. Watch as your allies drop in. Take out any enemies in the area. If you come upon an Energy Sword, grab it. Cross the bridge. This is another nasty area. Be careful of the plasma turret gun. If there is an enemy manning it, focus on taking him out. Then, focus on the exploding pod monsters, then the mutants. When the area is clear, go into the cave opening behind the plasma turret gun.
Go through the cave and you'll emerge in another outdoor area. Kill off the mutants. A Shotgun or an Energy Sword works well. Soon, a Covenant drop ship will fly in. Watch as it does and you'll get a cutscene.
OBJECTIVE: Push through the Quarantine-Zone toward The Library.
Hop into the Spectre as the Turret Gun operator. Let your allies drive as you destroy anything you can with the Turret Gun. You will enter a structure. Shoot the blue-laser flying pods and shoot the flying sentry bots. If the sentry bots are attacking you while you're manning the turret, jump out and kill them the old fashioned way...guns and grenades. If you want, you also have the option to hop into an ally's Ghost. Soon, a Warthog will enter the scene. You (the arbiter) and the Marines are both after the same key in the Library. Kill off the Marines in the Warthog. After the battle, if any vehicles survived, use any one of them. If you're on foot, don't fret. Head down the ramp and if you find a Scorpion (Marine Tank) get into it. There is a large metal door which may be closed. Drive up to it (assuming you're in a Scorpion) and enter the tunnel.
You'll soon be back outside, on a bridge of sorts. Blow up anything that moves. Follow the path down and kill off the sentry bots and the mutants. At the bottom, you'll find two doors. Go through either one. You'll be told that the commander is sending you some of his best fighters. You'll see a Covenant drop ship fly in. There should be a Wraith Tank nearby if you want to switch tanks. I recommend staying in the Scorpion.
Drive along the path toward the blue-hued tiered area. You'll be attacked by all sorts of enemies: Ghosts, mutants, etc. Watch out for the enemies with the rocket launchers. There is one in front and above you as you exit the little tunnel structure and there is another one, as you turn right after the first one.
Make your way up along the path and enter the next cave. You should still be in the Scorpion, or at least a Ghost. Inside this fire cave kill off the various enemies: sentry bots, flying pods, etc. There is a Wraith Tank here for reference. At this point, it's time to hop out of your vehicle. Find the partially obstructed tunnel and go through on foot. You'll come to some windows where you can view all of the action going on below. This room is also red-lighted and has several red columns in the middle of it.
Use one of the open windows to fire on the flying pods and the flying sentry bots. Kill off as many as you can. Then, follow the path around and drop down to the ground below. After you clear the room, head to the far end of the room, where you will find a sunken path. Follow it into a cave/tunnel. You'll exit outside again. Kill off the waves of enemies in this quarry area. The Sentinel Beam does a good job on the mutants. Before you continue, try to get re-armed with at least a Battle Rifle and some other decent weapon. There is a Rocket Launcher in the area but I don't recommend grabbing it. I have a dual wield SMG and Plasma Rifle, and a Sentinel at this point.
OBJECTIVE: Link-up with the Spec-Ops Leader, and break through the Flood barricade.

Go to the far side of the quarry and find the next cave/tunnel. Enter and make your way through. You'll enter upon another red column room. Again, more mutants. Fight them off then find the opening with a bunch of crates. Go through the tunnel where you will find a Sniper Rifle and a Rocket Launcher. First, use your normal weapons to kill any mutants and flying pods. Then, grab the Rocket Launcher. Look out and find the Wraith Tank that is firing on you. You should be able to Lock-On to it with the Rocket Launcher. Then, let it have it with several rockets. Look for the Ghosts that are flying around and take out one of its pilot and hop in. You should also find a Scorpion Tank. I prefer the Scorpion, but use what you want.
Drive past the Wraith Tank and find the tunnel. Drive through and turn right and begin destroying enemies as you go forward along the path. You'll get to another open area. Kill off the flying sentry bots first, then take out the Wraith Tank. Work your way toward the building with the spotlights beaming down, watch out for a Rocket Launcher enemy (if you see him take him out quickly), then take care of the Ghosts. Once you are in the covered area of the large building, use the Scorpion to clear out any enemies on the ledges. Find the door leading into the building and exit your tank and go it.
Run up the ramps going forward and you'll get a cutscene of you meeting up with the Special-Ops leader. You'll also see that there is a tram/gondola here as well.
OBJECTIVE: Retrieve the Sacred Icon before the Humans.
You will start off on the gondola with some allies. As you ride, waves of mutants will drop in on you. Kill them. Pick up any of the weapons that they have that you want, most notably the Energy Sword. You will finally come to a stop.
That Old, Familiar Feeling
Clear out any remaining mutants on the gondola then enter the main building. With the gondola at your back, go all the way right and find the tunnel/pathway leading through the wall. You'll get a cutscene of the Human Commander getting a hold of the "Index". You'll see Sarge sense something (you). Then, you'll see the evil Covenant guys toss you down a long shaft. Next, switch to a scene of Master Chief and the Arbiter both having been caught by a tentacle monster. Hey, the Prophet of Regret is here, too. Now, Master Chief and the Arbiter must both try to find the Key before it turns, in other words, before the evil Prophets can activate Halo.
