Ron will run to the trunk at the far end of the room, and he'll grab one end. Follow him and grab the other, then move the trunk away from the door. Open the door and you'll run into Malfoy, Crabbe and Goyle. 'Tis time for a duel!
Your only spell at this point is Flipendo, so, just like the book, target your opponents and cast your Flipendo when you get a clear shot. Use your "Dodge" button when in target mode to dodge oncoming attacks. Once you knock all three boys down, move forward and you'll fall to your knees.
After the Dementor cutscene you will have control of Ron. As Ron, your sole job is to get Harry away from the Dementor. To do so, simply drag Harry backwards (toward you), into the previous train car and through to the next car. If the Dementor catches up to you, simply follow the on-screen directions to wiggle out of it.
Practice Expelliarmus with Ron on the seventh floor.

Exit the Boys' Dormitory and head down to the Gryffindor Common Room. Here, Hermione will point out the Expelliarmus Spellbook. Harry will automatically walk over to it and learn the spell. The Expelliarmus comes in handy when dueling, in that it provides a shield against spells cast at you and will even return it to the sender. Go into your in-game sub-menus, select the "Inventory" menu, and assign the Expelliarmus to the button of your choice. Once this is done, follow Ron and continue down the hall to the Fat Lady's Corridor. In the Corridor you and Ron will play with the Expelliarmus spell. Just like Flipendo, target first. First, watch Ron as he avoids your Flipendo shots, then protect yourself from his. Once this is done, exit out the next door to the Seventh Floor Corridor.
Go to see Fred and George on the sixth floor.
Continue through the Seventh Floor Corridor to the Grand Staircase. Take the stairs down one level and enter the Sixth Floor (Ancient Runes) door. Here you'll run into Peeves the ghost and another mad book. This time, instead of using Flipendo on it, use Expelliarmus. Simply hit your Expelliarmus button with every one of the book's attacks and you'll run it down. Once that's over, open the chest and collect your card, then target the crate which is blocking your next door. Shoot the crate twice with Flipendo to get it out of your way and pass through the door.
Pass through the Glanmore Peakes' Corridor and Flipendo the attacking books. At the end of the hall, ignore the locked door (also, ignore the locked chest in the hall, as you can't open it now). Instead, go left and enter the Disused Bathroom (Fred and George).
This is Fred and George's store. Keep the goods in mind for later in the game, but, for now, your goal is to find the Marauder's Map. Fred and George will teach you how to swap control of the players. Follow the on-screen directions to do so. Once you do, you'll be introduced to a couple of Ron specific skills. First, walk him over to the glowing robes. You'll get a "Search" option once you do. Choose it and some beans will pop out of the robes. Ron is the only one who can "Search", and his searches, most often, come when you are at bookcases.
Ron's other specific skill is that of moving walls, which is your goal at this point. Walk over to the wall Fred and George are standing in front of, face it and hit "Open". Pass through the tunnel and you'll be in the first dungeon.
Find the Marauder's Map
In the dungeon Harry will be standing next to a gate. He wants your help lifting it, but don't worry about it, as it will be of no use until later, when and if you want to 100% the game and you bring Hermione in the dungeon with you. Pass through the next open door and walk toward the center of the room. The floor will fall. Ron can't jump gaps. Harry is the only one who can do so. So, switch to Harry and run and jump the gap. Collect the beans and the Folio Bruti page. Then jump the next gap and collect the Challenge Shield along the way for 10 Gryffindor Points.
Hit the switch at the end of the room, then follow the on-screen directions to wall sneak over to the switch to your left and press it. Wall sneak back, then jump the gap over to the third switch. Hit it. If you did this all in a timely fashion, you'll get a cutscene. It it the doors at the opposite end of the room will open up, and some Pixies will fly in. Shoot Flipendo at the Pixies, focus first on any that pick up Ron so Ron can help you, and take them out. The Pixies will fall to the floor. Once they do, hit them again to get rid of them. Once they're out of the picture, pass through the double doors. It looks like you're trapped. You're not. Remember Ron's wall moving skills? Ah yes. Switch to Ron and have him move to wall to reveal the staircase.
Run up the staircase and enter the next room. In this room are a few crystal balls, a mirror and a large trunk. You take one side of the chest and have Harry take the other by following the on-screen instructions for the shortcut (L on the GCN), or grab one side as Ron, then switch to Harry to grab the other. Together, move the trunk. This will bring a ray of light to the room. You'll see there's a mirror that needs moving on the ledge above. You need to get up there. So, carry your trunk over to the wall opposite the light source. Once there, drop the trunk, then jump up on it, then up to the ledge. Collect the Beans and make your way over to the mirror. At the mirror "Step On", then rotate it so the light beam hit the crystal ball across the way. This will provide you with ledges so you can make it through the archway to the next door. Be sure to collect your Challenge Shield along the way.

In the next room run to the central gear and target it. Hit it with Flipendo three times. Doing this will drop the block behind the gears to a point where Harry can climb on top of it...and make sure it's Harry climbing it. On the block, have Harry approach the rope and climb it to the rafters above. Make your way across, take care of the Pixies, climb the rope down the opposite side, and run through the archway to the next door (Ron is fine where he is).
In the next room, follow the beans to the chest. Open it up and collect the Owl Treat. Doing this will unleash another crazy book. Use your Expelliarmus in conjunction with your Flipendo to take him out most efficiently, then run up the stairs. Approach the owl perch, Call Hedwig, then Feed Hedwig. Once you feed Hedwig, you will be in charge of your little owl friend. Fly him through the opening and have him collect the shiny object atop the pointed pillar. This is the Marauder's Map. WooHoo! Fly Hedwig back to Harry. Once you do, notice the map that appears in the top left corner of your screen. This map is your friend.
Move down the stairs, grab the Challenge Shield next to the green portrait, then say the Password to pass through. You now must avoid being seen. This is easy. Simply stay out of the way of the purple lasers. First, make your way left and hit the switch. This opens the door. Return to your start position, then make your way around to the right. Pass through the now opened door and collect the Challenge Shield.
In this next room you are again avoiding detection. When you get to the second and third guards, press your back against the book shelves to avoid detection.
In this next room you have to not be seen by Snape. So, move forward, and sneak behind the first, second and third guards. After passing behind the third guard, wait at the corner and look toward the door. Wait until you see Snape, then wait until he moves away. Then, move behind the fourth guard and pass through the door to the Glanmore Peakes' Corridor. Nice work!
You have completed all of your tasks for the day. Go into your game sub-menus and go to the "Tasks" menu. Hit the button indicated to End Day.
