"Mace Griffin: Bounty Hunter"
Walkthrough and Strategy Guide
(US and International)
About 85% of this game is classic First Person Shooter. You run around finding the correct paths, pushing the right buttons, saving various allies, and shooting anyone and everyone that you see along the way. You have a nice assortment of weapons including a rifle/grenade launcher, laser gun, remote mines, plasma grenades, rocket launcher, and something that I call the "Super Gun." You don't get this gun until later in the game but when you do one shot causes major body part chunkage. The enemy's AI is pretty darn good and has caused many people to call this game "Halo Lite" or "Halo Jr." To further that comparison, the worlds in Mace Griffin are very expansive. From outdoor canyons where snipers inhabit every nook and cranny to detailed and graphically impressive space stations, Mace Griffin does not skimp on the environments.
The other 15% of this game is space combat. If you've ever played a Star Wars Star Fighter game you'll know exactly what to expect. For example, you'll have to fly from one hangar to another. On your way out you encounter a bunch of fighters that you have to take care of before you can land again. You fly various ships depending on what's in the hangar at the time and you have the standard space battle weapons like homing missiles and various laser cannons. Some of these fights are quite difficult and very time consuming.
All in all, Mace Griffin is an excellent First Person Shooter. If you enjoy games such as Halo, Return to Caslte Wolfenstein, James Bond games, Deus Ex, Half-Life, etc., you'll enjoy this one.
