Drive the Mako toward the Refinery taking out the two Geth Armaments that are dropped in by the ship along the way. When you get near the Refinery one of your squad will note that you shouldn't attack it head on. Good advice. There is a side road, off to the right. Drive down it and take out the various turrets and Geth troopers/juggernauts.

When it's clear, enter the open doorway of the building to the left side of the large gate. Take out the Geth Trooper inside and then "Activate" the Gate Control (the green button on the wall). Before you hop into the Mako, open the crates along the south wall of the Refinery area.

Drive the Mako through the now-open gate. Follow the path to the end, killing Geth as you go.

When you can go no farther, exit the Mako and go through the narrow opening in the rock-rubble wall. Fight your way to Mining Camp taking out Geth as you go. You may want to use the Sniper Rifle from cover to take out the snipers on the cliffside.

Note, I recommend a save just before you get to the Mining Camp.

When you arrive at the Mining Camp you'll get a cutscene and then will have to fight a slew of Geth. If you have a squad member who has the AI Hacking talent, use it on the Geth Armament. This will make it attack its own. Otherwise, just stay behind cover and pick off the various Geth one by one. Use two or three grenades (if you have them) on the Geth Armament.

Once the area is clear, head up the ramp of the structure on the right and go through the door.

Make your way through the pipe and along the catwalks taking out Geth as you go. Go down the elevator.

Head forward, take out the Drones, and go down the next elevator. When the elevator stops, drop down out of it and proceed along the catwalk to get a cutscene with Dr. T'soni. She's trapped in the blue force field and needs some help getting out.

Head down the catwalk, killing Geth as you get to them. Continue through the cavern to the Storage Tents and collect from the Weapons Lockers. Return to the middle part of the cavern and locate the Mining Laser Controls terminal. You'll need to enter the code: A, X, B, Y.

The laser will fire and create a hole in the cavern floor. Go through it to the lower tunnels and "Open" the control terminal. Turn around and you'll see Liara T'Soni. Go up to her and talk with her. You'll end up riding the central lift up.

At the top you'll have to fight the Krogan Battlemaster and some Geth Troopers. Take cover and take them out as you've done so many times already. When they're dead you'll automatically escape.

Aboard the Normandy

You'll gain Liara as a squad member. Talk to Liara to learn about the Protheans. When that's done, feel free to talk to your crew/squad for XP and general knowledge. Also, visit Shepard's Locker for some goodies.

When you're ready to move on go to the Galaxy Map. You'll be told that you have an incoming message (if you've already done the Noveria mission, if not, you'll need to do it). The council gives you a new place to explore, Virmire.

However, I still have to investigate the Geth on Feros, so away we go.
