SkyTown, Elysia - Main Docking Bay


Get Aurora Unit back Online


Exit your ship, Scan the Docking Bay if you wish, and then go through the door. Head up to the Control Room, shoot the Databot and then Scan him. DataBots contain Lore. If you want the locations of all 48 Lores in the game, please purchase the LB Metroid Prime 3 Walkthrough.

Head into the next room, enter the Morph Ball slot and then activate Hypermode. Hold "A" to send out your Phazon shockwave to destroy all of the vines.

Unmorph and swing to the second Grapple Point. While swinging, charge up a Beam shot and break the blue glass. Swing past it, land, and go through the door.

You'll enter Zipline Station Alpha (hey, that'd be a good name for a band). Scan the Zipline above you to reveal a Grapple Point. Grapple to it (hold "Z") and you'll begin zipping along. Anytime you approach a gate (locking mechanism) shoot it to open it. After you arrive on the other side, go through the door.

You'll find yourself in Arrival Station. Proceed along the path as you destroy Tinbots and you'll eventually emerge at a Kinetic Orb Cannon. Roll into it to be shot across the gap.

Roll into the Morph Ball path, jump up the first ledge and above you you'll see a MISSILE EXPANSION (12 of 50).

Jump Bomb: In order to get this Missile Expansion (or any high object while the Ball) you'll have to master a little bit of bomb timing. This, however is easier than in any previous Metroid Prime game because you can jump. Start by jumping (flick your Wii Remote up). At the top of your jump, set a bomb. As soon as you land, jump again. If the timing is right, the bomb will explode while you're in the air, thus sending you even higher.

Continue rolling along the path. When you emerge take a look at the large block-shaped Locking Mechanism. You don't have the weapon necessary for that yet. Jump over to the next platform and Grapple onto the Zipline. Shoot any bombs that are in your way as you zip. After the ride, enter Barracks Access.

Approach the horizontal lasers. As you're looking at them note that there is a MISSILE EXPANSION (13 of 50) below you. Hop down, turn around, Morph, and grab it. Then, simply roll under the lasers (some security system they have there). Go through the door, activate the Lift and ride it down.

You'll arrive in Steambot Barracks. Still in the Lift shaft, locate the Morph Ball path and enter it. Destroy the obstacles with bombs to proceed.

Exit out of the Morph Ball path and attempt to go through the next door. You'll soon be locked in and will have to fight the Steamlord and his Steambot minions!

Mini-Boss Fight - Steamlord


It is the Steamlord's job to repair the Tinbots. Therefore, to make him show himself, shoot all four tinbots. The Steamlord will appear and start repairing Tinbots. Shoot him while he's visible using Hypermode. If he disappears again, just shoot more Tinbots to make him reappear.

After he's destroyed collect the various goodies including an ENERGY TANK (6 of 14).

Scan a Safety Release Valve to reveal Grapple Points on all three Valves. Grapple each one to unlock the door. Go through to Barracks Lift. Activate it and then ride it up.

Exit to the outside and use the Zipline. Shoot the cutters that get in your way. Enter Aurora Lift.

Before heading down the lift, go through the Ice Missile door at the end to find a SAVE STATION. Save, and then go down the Lift. Go to the Aurora Unit's door and you'll be told that the locked door requires a kinetic charge. You can't access it now.

They should have told you that yesterday!

Investigate Chozo Technology


Continue past the locked door and go through the door at the end. Jump the gap and a continue until you are outside at Spire Dock. Use the Kinetic Orb Cannon. Here you'll find Ghor's Armor but no Ghor. You have two options: A zipline off to the left (SE) or one off to the right (SW).

Take the right zipline (the SW zipline) and enter Junction. Go around to the Ice Missile Door (the west door) and go through. You'll be on Skybridge Hera. Scan the gate to reveal a Grapple Point and rip it off. Take out the Battle Drones and then approach the backside of the short center column. There is a Morph Ball opening. Jump up and into the column for a MISSILE EXPANSION (14 of 50).

Grapple the next gate, proceed forward, and you'll be attacked by a Steamlord and his Steambots. Ignore them and approach the next gate. Rip it down and the Steambots will fall to their demise and you'll get Stylish Kill points.

Continue to cross the bridge and then enter Maintenance Shaft GP. Jump the platforms to the other side and exit out.

You'll end up outside facing a long series of floating platforms, technically you'll be in Construction Bay. Jump the platforms until you get to the Grapple Points. You won't be able to use them because of the large metal panels.

Instead, look up at the floating structure with your Scan Visor and follow it all the way to the left. At the end you'll notice a weak clamp. Shoot it with a Charged Beam shot which will lower a panel with a Green Ledge on it. Jump up to it and then enter the Morph Ball path. Use Bombs on each of the three Morph Ball Slots to drop each of the three metal panels.

The path is now clear for you to Grapple. Do so and then use the Morph Ball to continue along the way and up the next tower. Here, defeat the Battle Drones using your Grapple and then move the crane into place using the hand terminal. Roll across the crane and go through the door to enter Ballista Lift.

Ride it down. Go through the door at the bottom to Ballista Storage and go up to the shining spinning Ball upgrade that you want oh so badly. Egad man! It's a trap!

Boss Fight: Defense Drone


There is nothing very tricky about this drone. First, shoot each of his three antennae. When they are destroyed, he'll drop down. Grapple his eye and pull on it. This causes his protective shell to open revealing a red crystal inside his head. He'll jump up to one of the surrounding platforms and will be exposed. Shoot at that red crystal to do damage. After a while, the antennae will grow back and you'll have to repeat the process.

I recommend that you use Hypermode after each time you Grapple and really lay into him. Doing it this way makes for a quick battle.

As far as his attacks go he has an electric percussion wave that you can easily jump over and his projectile attacks can be shot for Energy.

After he's defeated, grab the BOOST BALL.

Boost Ball: Press and hold "B" while in Morph Ball to charge and then release "B" to boost. This works to move quickly and works to charge machines. In fact, every time that you see that a machine needs a "kinetic energy charge" use the Boost Ball.


As always, you'll need to use your new feature straight away. Roll into the Ball Slot and Boost. Then, continue to Boost to charge the Lift. It'll rotate around and then Lift you up.

Get Aurora Unit Back Online


Backtrack to the Aurora Unit (the "?" on your Map). To bypass all of the platforms of Construction Bay use the Morph Ball path to the left of the door as you exit Ballista Lift. Also, activate the Kinetic Orb Cannon on Skybridge Hera.

When you arrive at the locked door to the Aurora Unit, jump into the Morph Ball opening and Boost to go round and round to open the door. Go up to the Aurora Unit and attempt to communicate with it via the terminal. You'll be informed that it is corrupted with Phazon and a maintenance hatch to the left of its tank will open.

Roll into the maintenance hatch and when you emerge you'll be attacked by three waves of Tinbots. Keep killing them until no more come. Then, enter into the third Tinbot pod (the little cages where each one was spawning) and locate the green switch. Activate it which will allow you to upload the vaccine into the system. How X-Files: The Movie is this?

Just great. Ghor enters the scene and severs the network.

There's nothing you can do about that now. Exit via the Morph Ball shaft (you'll see a small Morph Ball elevator in a vertical shaft) and speak with the Aurora Unit. It'll tell you that you need Ghor's Plasma Cannon to repair the severed circuitry.

Hunt Down Ghor


Before you begin the hunt, go up to the nearby SAVE STATION and Save.

Your goal now is to get back to your Ship. However, in order to do this, you'll have to activate the Vertical Transversal Unit using your Boost Ball (just like you did on the door to the Aurora Unit). Once you do that, a Half-Pipe. Will rise out of the ground.

Half-Pipe: Half Pipes are used in conjunction with the Boost Ball to get to high places. Boost to get the ball rolling, so to speak, and then hold "B" to charge up again. When you hit the bottom of the Half-Pipe, release "B". This will send you up even higher. Again, charge and Boost when you hit the bottom. Repeat this, going back and forth until you're high enough to get where you want to go.


Use the Half-Pipe to get up onto the ledge on the right. Here you'll find a rotation switch. Approach it and attach your weapon to it. You need to line up each gear and then hit "A" when it is lined ups. Twist the Wii Remote to line up the first piece (twist to the right) and then press "A". Repeat this for the next two pieces (twist to the left each time) to activate the gear.

Go through the door and on your way back to your Ship, stop at Arrival Station for a quick sidequest. When you get there, take a look at your map and note the little dot of an island (communications satellite) off to the SW of this room. Go out onto the outdoor platform and look toward it. As you're looking at the communications satellite, look up and to the left a tad to locate a Green Ledge. Use the green ledge to get up to that platform, activate the Orb Cannon and then use it to get to an ENERGY TANK (7 of 14).

Continue the trek back to your ship. When you arrive you'll see Ghor attacking it as if he is some sort of Transformer wannabe.

Boss Fight - Ghor


Ah Ghor. The Phazon has corrupted you. Once we were friends. Ah well. Time to kick your rear end!

At the start of this battle Ghor has an impenetrable red shield. The power unit to the shield is on his back. You can freeze Fuel Gel, remember?

Wait for him to pause and start spinning, which means he'll be charging you. Just before the charge, fire an Ice Missile at the Fuel Gel between you and him. He'll charge, slip, and will crash into the wall exposing his back long enough for you to shoot it.

His shield will lower and you'll see a highlighted (small beacon) on his head. I suggest you enter into Hypermode and shoot at it. There is plenty of Energy throughout this fight, so don't worry about using it up with Hypermode.

After he regains his composure, he'll jump in the air and slam down breaking the ice. Simply re-freeze the Fuel Gel and repeat.

When his health is down to about 2/3, the Fuel Gel will disappear, his shield will go away and a small target will appear below him. Now you have two weak spots: one under him and the spot on his head. His attacks intensify a bit so just stay out of his way until you see him do the spinning orange beam attack. At this point, Morph and roll under him. Set your Bombs and he'll collapse momentarily. This is another good opportunity to use Hypermode on his head as it is exposed and he is stationary.

Repeat this until his health is about down to 1/3. At this point it's all about the head. Don't even worry about his attacks. Just enter into Hypermode and have at his head (also feel free to stay at a distance, lock on, and fire Missiles at his head). A few shots later and he'll be defeated.

Do note that throughout this battle there is copious Energy (health). Whether it's in containers or Ghor drops it. You should have no Energy issues as long as you are aware that it's there and you collect it.

After Ghor is defeated grab the PLASMA BEAM.

Plasma Beam: The Plasma Beam replaces your Power Beam as your default weapon. It can melt metal (red rocks and red metal) and ice. It can also repair circuitry. This is going to come in handy!


Repair Severed Cables


Melt the metal plates blocking the door and go up to the control room. Melt the red covering on the window of the control tower to reveal a MISSILE EXPANSION (15 of 50). Continue on to Transit Hub. Melt the plates covering the Morph Ball Cannon and take a ride. This is essentially a shortcut. You'll arrive at Zipline Station Bravo, not far from the Aurora Unit.

Head to the Aurora Unit, but make sure to Save at the SAVE STATION along the way.

When you arrive, go through the maintenance tunnel to the left of the Aurora Unit. Approach each of the three damaged circuitry boards (two on the wall, one in the middle) and hit "A" to interact with them. This will allow you to Weld. Aim at either side of the sever, press and hold "A" to Weld, and then trace the path of the sever. When all three panels are welded back together go back up and talk to the Aurora Unit.

The nice Aurora Unit will give you a MAP. He'll also tell you that you have to build a thermo-nuclear bomb. What are you? Some sort of scientist?

Before you go get that mysterious Ship Part that you need at the Federation Landing Site to help you with the bomb it's worth your while to go get an upgrade, a Ship Missile Expansion.

Head to Spire Dock. You've been here before but you haven't gone along the SE zipline. Do so and you'll end up in Security Station.

Make your way to the Morph Ball slot at the end of the hall, on an upper platform, and enter it. When you emerge, drop down the ledge and melt the red metal plate to the right of the switch. This will reveal a Morph Ball slot. Enter and make your way to the SHIP MISSILE EXPANSION (2 of 8)...you'll have to use a little Boost on your way to it. The path will spit you back out where you entered.

Exit out and backtrack to your Ship. Set course for Bryyo - Fiery Airdock.
