Welcome to North Africa. It is hot and you are part of the elite British "Desert Rats" squad. As soon as you begin, take a look at your Map. To start, you'll be heading North, along the West wall, and then hitting the North extension. Also, note the large SE area extending off of the map. If you find the escape before exploring that area, you'll miss several objectives. That's why you have this walkthrough.
New to this level is the Sniper Rifle and the Shotgun. I'm not a big fan of the Shotgun and I like to switch it out for an MP40 (German Sub-machine Gun) at the first opportunity. But, if you like the Shotgun, well, stick with it. As for the Sniper Rifle; when in Aim Mode you can zoom in and out, so keep that in mind as it makes life easier.

Head forward and at the split in the path, head left. When you get to the open desert area, note the Medkit to the SE and the one to the East. Run to the Medkit to the SE, where you'll be told about the "Destroy Panzer Tank in Ruins" objective, and then back across to the other one. Then, work your way along the West wall (which turns into the North wall), killing as you go. Take your time, use the various ruins for cover, and be patient. Note the Radar Dish rotating above and to your left. About when you notice the dish you'll be fired on by a Stationary Machine Gun from an upper cave. Use your Sniper Rifle to take out the gunner.
Soon, you'll get to some crates with a Medkit and see several enemies running from right to left (South to North...you're facing East). Go to where the enemies were running, to the North extension on the Map. Here you'll be told to "Sabotage German Radar Dish". Work your way up the path killing the enemies in the area. Don't deal with the bunker until the surrounding enemies are clear. Once they are, toss a few Grenades into the bunker to clear it out. Go into the bunker, grab the Medkit, and then Set the Charge on the generator giving power to the Radar Dish. Grab the Revive Icon.
You'll be attacked by an onslaught of enemies, including a Tank which will fire into the Bunker. Get out of the Bunker and take cover. Pick off the enemies one by one, and then run up to the Tank and circle it while dropping Grenades, in order to destroy it. Stay far enough from it, though, so that the explosion doesn't kill you.
You are still in the North extension of the Map. The Tank you need to destroy is highlight in Blue on the Map. Run South to the Tank, killing as you go, grabbing Medkits along the way. Watch out for the large Bunker to the East, avoid running right in front of it. Once you get near the Panzer Tank, kill the surrounding enemies and then run around the Tank dropping Grenades. If you are low on Grenades, the game may supply them for you when you kill enemies and there are some near the Tank itself. As a tip, I like to approach the Tank from the South, peeking around the opening in the ruins (where you will see Grenades), killing enemies (who may give you Grenades), running in for said Grenades, and then destroying the Tank. You can also stay behind the ruin wall and peek in to throw a Grenade and then take cover and repeat.
After the Tank is destroyed, search the ruins for Medkits and more enemies. When the area is clear, start your assault on the East Bunker. Approach it from the South, so that you're not exposed to direct fire. Watch out for the Stationary Machine Gun and be sure to kill the enemy manning it as soon as possible. Wait, because another enemy may man it. Enter the Bunker where the Stationary Machine Gun is located. You'll notice a tunnel going down. This tunnel links the two Bunkers. There also the upper path which consists of trenches running between the two Bunkers.
The plan here is to clear out the lower tunnel, grab the objective, and then work your way back along the trenches, clearing out all enemies and grabbing Medkits as you go. So, go into the tunnel, kill the enemies, and then midway through the tunnel, find the side-room to the East. Inside, on the desk is the Tiger Tank Operations Manual.
Continue along the tunnel, killing as you go. If you want, and if you don't have it yet, pick up an MP40 Sub-machine Gun as a substitute for your Shotgun. Soon, you'll go up a ramp to the other Bunker. Here, you'll find another Stationary Machine Gun. You need to man it. If one of your Squad members has manned it, run back down into the tunnel so that he'll follow you. Anyway, take control of the Stationary Machine Gun and you'll face an onslaught of enemies. Watch your Health and Heal when necessary. If it's getting too hot and heavy, disengage the Stationary Machine Gun, crouch and pick off the enemies when they try to get into the Bunker. When that is under control, work your way along the trenches, killing as you go.

Once this area is clear, you need to work your way past the Bunkers/trenches, going East. To do this, simply enter the trench and find a ramp out of the trench, heading East. You'll come upon a new area and be joined by more members of the Desert Rats. Go through the cave on your left. You'll see a Tiger Tank in front of you and a Stationary Machine Gun firing down on you. Pick off the enemy manning the machine gun and then start piking off other enemies, staying behind the cover of the crates near the Tiger Tank. When ready, go behind the tank and Set a Charge to destroy it. Be aware that there may be an enemy there and that the Stationary Machine Gun up above may have been remanned. There is also a Medkit near the Tiger Tank.
Destroying the first Tiger Tank will trigger the garage door to open on the other side, revealing more enemies and the last two Tiger Tanks. Kill off the enemies inside the garage and then Set the Charges on the back of the two Tiger Tanks. There is also a Medkit inside the garage.
At this point, pull out your Map. Note the extension to the South. Head there. You'll pass an injured British soldier near a Medkit. Continue along the path. Enemies will reveal themselves and you'll see Brecht with the Red Cross above his head. You may be able to get a few shots in on him, but he'll most likely retreat.
Follow him and you'll see the downed British Plane wreckage. Continue your pursuit and get shots in on him when you can. If you don't rush him you can get a few head shots in with your Sniper Rifle. If you have your Adrenaline full, go ahead and rush him and take him out that way. Continue on through the fuselage, grab the Medkit, and note the dead pilot with some papers lying next to him. This is the British Recon. You have to actually press your "Reload" button to pick up the documents, as opposed to other times when you were just able to run over the item. Do so. Be sure to grab the Revive Icon and then work your way out of this SE extension, back towards the North, where your Yellow Arrow is located.
Once you arrive back in the area where you destroyed the three Tiger Tanks, you'll have to gain access to and clear the facility. First, take out the Stationary Machine Gun on the roof. Then, run up to the door where you'll have to Set a Charge to blow open the door. Once that is done, go inside and clear out both side and then the upstairs area. Go up to the third floor and work your way out to the roof and then into the hallway. Clear out the final hallway and then move forward to have officially escaped.
This is a continuation of the last mission. You are now inside the facility that you discovered. Immediately take a look at your map. This level consists of two main parts: The underground maze of tunnels and then, to the East, an outdoor compound. First, you'll be exploring each and every section of the maze of tunnels, starting in the North and heading down to the South. It is in this area where you will rescue three Squad Members who will become part of your team...notice that you are solo when you start the mission. Also, you start with the Shotgun and Sniper Rifle. As before, I prefer the MP40, but use what you like.
Please note: All directions are based on the Map, not your Compass. In this level I noticed that the Compass is wrong.
Slowly make your way forward, kill the enemy who peeks around the corner, and then slowly turn the corner. You'll see your first nasty room. Go ahead and chuck a few Grenades in there to clear the area and then pick off any remaining enemies. Once the room is clear, enter, find the Grenades, and then take a look at the other paths. There is one going South and one continuing East. Continue East. You'll get notified of your first objective: Free the Commandos. Note the Blue Arrows on your Compass. Also note that on your Map, there is one large Blue Arrow which does not indicate the placement of the prisoners...only pay attention to the three Blue Arrows on your Compass.
Continue East, going into the next large room. Inside this radio equipment room is a Medkit. Note that there is an East path that dead ends and a path going North. Take the East path to the dead end where you will find SAS Commando #1. Set a Charge on the door, kill the enemy hiding in the room, and then go up to the prisoner to free him.
Go back to the room you were just in and this time, go directly North, across the hallway. Here you'll find SAS Commando #2. Set a Charge on the door to get to him. In a side cell is a Medkit.
Look at your Map. You are in the North-most room. You have yet to explore the South half of this maze of tunnels. Head South, taking the West side path. In other words, you're backtracking to the first main room you got to, and this time, taking the Southern path.
This will lead your to a Generator Room. Kill all of the enemies inside. Note the North dead end path leading off of the Generator Room. Follow this hallway to get to SAS Commando #3. Set a Charge on the door, go in, kill the enemy, free the Commando, and grab the Medkit. On the way back out you'll grab a Revive Icon.
Exit back out. Look at your Map. Note the Southern path leading off of the Generator room. Head there. Work your way along the tunnel, killing as you go. You'll get to a viewing room for the V2 Film. Kill all of the enemies here and then find the office to the South. Inside are more enemies and Hans Schneider. You can use the door for cover and chuck Grenades at him or you can use the door for cover and peek out and give him some Sniper Rifle fire.
After he's dead, explore the office for a Medkit and the Coded Virus House Information on one of the desks. Now, exit back out to the viewing room and go up to the projector. Push your "Reload" button to grab the Film. Wow. That's like three birds with one stone.
Time to head to the East section of the Map; the outdoor compound area. Backtrack out and head East, fighting your way through the hanging crate area. Keep in mind you can shoot ankles and feet. Before you head up the ramp, be sure to visit the storage room with a Medkit, Sniper Ammo, and Grenades.
At the top of the ramp head outside. Immediately take cover anywhere you can. Take a look at your Map. You are in the NW corner of the outdoor area. You'll be making your way all the way around the outside perimeter of the V2 Factory, finally getting inside on the West side...but you have to get there first and there are a couple of objectives to do along the way.
From your position, try to locate the Guard Tower in the NW corner and take out the enemies inside. Explore both houses/huts and then head East (you're going along the North side of the compound). Soon you'll be told to Photograph the V2 Schematics. First, however, take out the many enemies, especially those in the Guard Tower. Then, note that you can enter a part of the compound; an office area. Go in, kill the enemies, and find the blueprints on the desk. Push your "Reload" button to take a Photograph. Grab the Revive Icon.
Continue East and then turn the corner and start heading South. Taking cover, pick off any enemies that you see. You'll get to some Train Tracks. On the tracks, between the fence and the flatbed train car is a place where you can Set a Charge. Do so. Grab the Revive Icon on the nearby crate.
Continue South and then turn the corner, heading West. Now on the South side of the Compound, you'll have many enemies to deal with and a Tank. There are also several sleeping barracks. Use the plentiful cover, pick off enemies patiently and when the area is clear, deal with the Tank by tossing Grenades under or near it. After the Tank is destroyed, head to the West side of the Compound.
Finally, you have access to the Compound. Enter and note the staircase to your right. Head there and go up the staircase. From this catwalk, pull out your Sniper Rifle and pick off any enemies up on the catwalk with you. Then, start picking off any enemies down below. Clear out any and everybody you can. When it's relatively safe, head back downstairs and kill any remaining enemies.
Soon, you'll be told that you need to get into the Control Room to vent the fuel valves. The Control Room is in the North of the Compound. Enter, kill the enemies inside, go up the stairs and you'll see the V2 Rocket. Grab the Medkit and then go to the other side where you'll see a lever/switch. Pull the switch to open the fuel doors and lower the Rocket.
Go back downstairs and go up to the lowered Rocket and Set a Charge on the Rocket. As soon as you do, turn 90 degrees to the left and run out of the open garage door (where you earlier destroyed the train tracks). The mission will end and you'll have escaped successfully!
