When the Nintendo DS debuted last year many were left wondering what the heck kind of software would be developed to take advantage of the touch screen. Well, millions of copies later, Nintendogs is the first killer app for the DS. This puppy simulator is not a "game" as much as it is an emotional, sometimes frustrating, experience where you will end up loving your dogs and thinking about them almost daily.

Things You'll Like

This is not your average "game". Not only does it invovle a touch screen, but that is the only way you control your dog. It is addicting and natural.

The use of the mic to record your voice commands is a ton of fun. You say a command and watch as your dog performs it.

The Artificial Intelligence (AI) of the dogs is uncanny. And, they're cute.

This sim never gets boring. You'll always want to buy a new dog, enter another competition, or see what's around the corner on a walk.

You can connect with other Nintendo DS's wirelessly and play/exchange with their dogs.

You will become very attached to your dogs. They may take over your life.

The game starts slow but picks up speed as soon as you get through basic training.

You need to buy a Nintendo DS in order to play the game...which could also be a good thing.
