PS2

X - Jump. Double tap to double jump.
Triangle - Energy Attack (Special Attack). Hold to do a charged spin attack.
Square - Swings your weapon. Hold to charge for a stronger attack.
Circle - Pick-Up. Activate. Drop. Hold for shooting attack.
L1 - Switch between weapon and blaster (gun).

Characters

Once you get to The Woods, your home base, you can select to use any two of the four playable characters for any mission. While in a mission, you can switch between characters using the Switch Character Button. Some characters can jump higher than others, therefore, if you can't reach something, try the other character.

Co-Op Play

At any time another player may join or leave the game. Make sure a second controller is plugged in and then hit the Start Button.

Meters and Heads Up Display

In the upper left of the screen you'll see info for player 1; in the upper right for player 2. The meter near the Heart is the Health Meter. You start with 10 dots. Each time you gain 20 Cookie Boxes or 20 Chip Cans, you'll gain one dot. You can max your meter out at 20 dots. You refill your health meter by collect chips or pizza.

The meter below the health meter is the Energy Meter. You fill this up by collecting soda and candy. This meter allows you to do special attacks with the Energy Attack Button.

The star underneath your character shows which character you are currently controlling (if you're only playing single-player). When you jump on your partner's back, you'll notice that both stars are lighted.

When you collect Chip Cans, Cookie Boxes, and DVDs, you'll see confimation and the number you have collected on the side of the screen of the character who collects it. When you have to battle a certain amount of enemies, you'll see a countdown on the bottom of the screen. A timer will appear for certain missions. This will appear in the upper middle of the screen.

Hats

Attacks

See the above "Controls" section for specifics. You can charge all three of your attacks by holding down the button: normal swinging attack (melee attack), shooting attack (ranged attack), and the special energy attack. Doing so makes the attack more powerful and the charged energy attack (spin attack) is very useful when a group of enemies is around or when trying to protect a wagon.

1. Gladys' Back Yard

Primary Goals

Use the frog statue to open the gate.

Past the blue lasers you'll see a frog statue and a frog platform. Pick up the frog statue and throw it onto the frog platform.

Break 5 birdhouses.

To fire your range weapon (shooting a golf ball, in this case), press and hold your range weapon button. While holding it, aim your cursor by moving the control stick. Hit each of the five blue birdhouses (3 hanging from the tree, 2 on poles). The last birdhouse you hit will contain a key. Grab the key and bring it to the glowing lock on the gate.

Meet Stella by the gate in the last yard.

She's waiting for you after the second set of red lasers.

Secondary Goals

Never trigger a laser.

Self explanatory.

Open 2 coolers.

In the frog statue area. On the picnic blanket.

On a picnic table in between the first and second set of red lasers.

Extras

Cookie Boxes

01 - Break the watering can on ornamental bench near the start.

02 - Break the decorative tree behind the first cooler.

03 - In the birdhouse area, on the porch of the house on the left.

04 - On the bridge of the pagoda in the birdhouse area.

01 - Break the first white chair to the left of the blue scanning laser.

2. Inside Gladys' House

Primary Goals

Disarm the traps.

In the kitchen, go up to the glowing control panel. You'll take control of Hammy. Press the buttons shown on the screen to disarm the traps.

Toss food to Penny

As soon as you disarm the traps, you'll get a timer. You need to grab food and toss it to Penny (who is glowing). Make sure you push the Throw Button that is above Penny's head or you won't throw the food very far. Three of the five food items are on the kitchen island. Two are on the kitchen table.

Secondary Goals

Don't set off a single alarm.

3. Escape!

Primary Goals

Open your friends' cages.

There are three glowing buttons on the shelves. Each button is linked to a set of cages. Push the glowing button then drop down to the floor and open the cages that are glowing. If you take too long, you'll have to re-press the button. Do this for each of the three buttons and open all of the cages.

Defeat 15 rats.

Self explanatory.

4. Caught in the hedge!

Primary Goals

Get to the other end of the hedge.

Keep going until time runs out.

Secondary Goals

Reach the end with full health.

You can take damage. You just have to finish the level with a full health meter.

The Woods

Change characters by interacting with RJ, Verne, Hammy or Stella.

This will teach you how you switch characters. At this point, the game asks that you switch to either RJ or Stella. It doesn't matter who you choose.

When you get a new loot item, it will appear in the Woods.

Check out your hat collection at the hat tree.

Hats that you find on missions will end up here.

Level Select

Go up to the bulletin board and select "Missions". Then, select "Night Streets".

5. Night Streets

Primary Goals

Defeat the Rat King.

Move forward, attacking garbage bins and rats. Near the end of the road you'll meet up with the Rat King (he's wearing a crown). Attack him until he is defeated.

Meet Penny by the fire hydrant.

She's on the right near a fire hydrant at the end of the street after the Rat King.

Meet Ozzie and get to the next street.

After you turn into Hammy to do the code to open the gate, fight your way through the yards. Defeat all of the rats and their nests (rock formations). At the end, approach Ozzie to finish the level.

Secondary Goals

Find Penny's three missing kids.

NOTE: Keep attacking the barrels and rock formations, aka, rat's nests, (until they disappear) where the rats come from in order to stop the rats from spawning.

1 - Directly in front of you from the start of the laser area, on a table. To get there, hop over the first two lasers to the right and jump up to him.

2 - In the back corner of the red laser area.

3 - Go to the glowing air conditioner unit to the right of the gate in the red laser area. This will shoot you onto the roof. The third kid is on the left of the roof.

Don't trigger a single spotlight.

In the area with the street lamps, don't step into any spotlights.

6. Projector Heist

Primary Goals

Meet Heather down the street.

Make your way to Heather by jumping electricity, avoiding motion sensors (or walking slowly), and fighting rats. When you get to her, she'll be trapped. Break open the cage.

Get the projector from the house.

Fight the rats and the blade trees. Locate the glowing door knob on the house. Enter the house. Pick up the projector and go towards the exit. You'll automatically be taken outside.

Meet Ozzie with the projector.

Run to the yellow circle and toss the projector into the circle.

Secondary Goals

Never get electrocuted.

Never trigger a motion sensor.

Find all three porcupine kids.

1 - Just past the first motion sensor, climb the stacked 2x4s and then double jump across to the gray palettes. The kid is on the palettes.

2 - Inside the second garage.

3 - Go up the plank-ramp outside of the second garage. The kid is at the top of the ramp on the stacked 2x4s.

7. Martin Heist, Pt. 1

Primary Goals

Get past the laser grid.

To exit the first area, locate the frog statue in the corner and bring it to the frog pad near the fence. Then, jump through the laser grid to the other side.

Disarm the gate to the street.

In the pool area you'll see a glowing box near the gate. Disarm it by pushing the corresponding buttons.

Find a way across the street.

Go up to the fire hydrant and interact with it.

Secondary Goals

Open four coolers.

1 - In the first area, on the left, just past the spraying dog.

2 - On the patio of the first area.

3 - At the far end of the laser grid.

4 - On the table near the pool, to the left of the laser grid.

Save the bunny from the Exterminator.

Before you jump onto the hydrant, locate the white exterminator truck. Shoot the guy with the hammer at the top of the truck to save the bunny.

8. Martin Heist, Pt. 2

Primary Goals

Get to the yard with the tree house.

After defeating the Boss Bunny (the bunny with the health meter), go through the opening in the fence.

Use the RC plane.

In order to use the plane, you need gas. The gas can is on the patio. As soon as you pick it up you'll be trapped on the patio. You'll see a timer. You have to avoid the lasers and survive until time runs out. Then, after you do the other secondary objectives and find the various cookies, chips, and DVDs, climb up the play structure to the plane and interact with it to end the level.

Secondary Goals

Open two coolers.

1 - From the wine barrels, run directly south (down). You'll see the cooler along the right hedge.

2 - Behind the two barrels in the corner of the play structure area.

Find and talk to Rufus.

After you get the gas can, you'll see that the air conditioner unit is glowing. Use it to get on the roof. Wait for Rufus, a blue bird, to fly up to you. He'll go to the play structure and cause a laptop to fall through the ground.

Get the laptop to the loot zone.

Before you use the RC plane, pick up the laptop and follow the arrow (finger pointer) to the drop zone. Then, defeat the three gophers to finish the objective.

9. Martin House

Primary Goals

Disarm the traps in the kitchen.

To get out of the kitchen, you need to first destroy the rat nest (the pet carrier the kitchen island), and then destroy the remaining rats. After this, the pet door in the kitchen door will glow. Go through it. Now in the laundry room, jump on top of the washing machine and use the control panel to disarm the traps.

Toss the food into the wagon.

Food will be thrown out the window. Get underneath it to catch it. Then, toss it into the wagon.

Secondary Goals

Find all six batteries.

1 - On the right side bureau near the start.

2 - On the dining table.

3 - On the right side of the kitchen counter.

4 - On the kitchen island.

5 - On the shelf in the laundry room.

6 - On top of the washing machine.

Don't set off a single trap.

10. Martin Heist Escape

Primary Goals

Protect Ozzie and the wagon.

Run alongside the wagon. When you see rats, destroy them. If there are any rat nests around (like green recycling cans) destroy them first, then take out the rats. When the view changes to top-down, run forward until you are gently pushed in one direction to rejoin the wagon. To take out the flying BBQ, hold down your "shoot" button to fire projectiles at it. You should automatically lock on to it, but if you don't, just aim at it.

Get to the hedge entrance.

Secondary Goals

Save the bunny from the Exterminator.

When the exterminator truck pulls up and you have to shoot the three ports in the truck, shoot the guy with the hammer on the top of the truck first, then shoot the ports.

Finish with the wagon at least half full.

The wagon has a health meter. Try not to let the wagon get attacked too often.

11. Steam Train

Primary Goals

Get to the last car.

Make your way to the end of the train. The only real obstacles are the wood stacks that slam down in an attempt to smoosh you. Use the shadows to figure out the safe areas between the falling stacks. When you get to the final train, hit the button on the steam valve to end the level.

Secondary Goals

Don't get caught in a net trap!

The net traps are found mostly in the beginning of this mission, although there is one later. They shoot from the lamps in the train cars. Walk along the edge of the car to avoid them.

Blow up 8 TNT barrels!

Shoot the barrels so they don't do damage to you.

1 - Near the front, on the left side, of the second car.

2 - On the right side of the second car.

3 - On the left side of the third car.

4 - On the flat bed train car (the fourth car).

5 - In first indoor car after the first flat bed section.

6 - At the beginning of the flat bed car with the first set of wooden stacks that drop down in an attempt to crush you.

7 - On the flat bed car where you have to carry the crate to make a platform to use to jump over the wall.

8 - Just before the coal car.

12. Shooting Gallery

Primary Goals

Get to the maintenance exit.

Make your way through the level.

Secondary Goals

Find all 4 coolers.

1 - Just before the wagon and Cowboy Hat, there is a side path that goes down and to the left. The cooler is at the bottom.

2 - In the Saloon.

3 - In the shooting gallery just past the Saloon.

4 - Across the secret bridge.

Avoid being hit by the moving targets!

When you see a laser aiming at the target, get out of the way as a shot is soon to be fired.

Lower the secret bridge!

In the shooting gallery past the Saloon, locate the control panel and activate it.

13. Maintenance Room

Primary Goals

Survive the chase while avoiding obstacles.

Navigate the course and jump over the fence at the end.

Secondary Goals

Survive with 80% health

Getting the Uncle Sam hat helps. Also, you can see the dog's shadow when he jumps. Move away from the shadow so you don't get hurt when he land.

14. Smith Birthday Party

Primary Goals

Destroy the castle.

Head to the castle. You'll see it has a health meter. Attack it until it deflates. In this area, when destroying a present, I received the Ground Pound attack: Jump then hit your Special Attack button.

Lower the drawbridge.

After you destroy the castle, you'll get a frog statue. Bring it to the frog platform to the right of the bridge. Locate the turtle statue and bring it to the turtle platform to the left of the bridge.

Get up onto the wires.

Use the AC units. Once on the wires, electricity will be coming at you. Jump over the electrical pulses. Next, you'll simply have to avoid the stationary pulses by jumping to the other wire and going past the electricity.

Get to the attic window.

Follow the wires to the end.

Secondary Goals

Destroy all presents.

Destroy all of the presents in the castle area and on the picnic table.

Free the porcupine kid.

In the cage, to the left, after the drawbridge.

15. Smith Heist, Pt. 2

Primary Goals

Get to the next yard.

Hit the switch next to the water heater to open the duct. Pick up the crate near the start and carry it through the open duct to the platform on the right of the attic. Jump through the window. Once in the yard, destroy all of the gopher barrels and defeat all of the enemies. A hole in the fence will open up. Go through.

NOTE: There is loot in the attic. Near the crate platform there is a silver VCR. Bring it to the loot circle near the start.

Get to the back door.

The BBQs can be a real pain. Take them out from a distance before they start to move. The back door is up the stairs of the house in the laser grid area. Do the extras and secondary goals before you go through the door.

Secondary Goals

Don't hit a laser.

Self-explanatory.

Break 20 objects.

Break everything.

16. Smith House

Primary Goals

Get to the living room.

Turn the power off at the power boxes in the laundry room and the billiards room (you first have to defeat the rabbits).

Open the basement door.

Defeat the rabbits in the living room.

Toss the food to Penny.

Grab from the shelf the item of food that the game shows you and toss it to Penny. If you're not reaching Penny with your toss, you're hitting the wrong button. You only have a limited amount of time with each food item (it'll start to flash) so be quick. Wait for one food item to register before going after the next.

Secondary Goals

Find 8 batteries.

1 - Near the ironing board.

2 - Near the power switch in the laundry room.

3 - To the left of the power box in the billiards room.

4 - Behind the plant in the far right corner of the billiards room.

5 - To the left of the bureau in the living room.

6 - In a corner, behind a lamp, in the living room.

7 - Near the Badger in the basement (to the left of the stairs).

8 - At the bottom of the basement stairs, against the wall.

Never get shocked!

Primary Goals

Protect Ozzie and the wagon.

Try not to let enemies get near the wagon. To get Ozzie through the lasers, pick up the frog and turtle statues and bring them first to the nearer platforms and then the further platforms. When all of the enemies are defeated, operate the control panel to open the gate.

Secondary Goals

Get the boom box to the loot zone.

The boom box is in the first green recycle container. Pick it up and carry it across the driveway to the loot zone (yellow circle).

Don't get hit by the lawn mower.

This is very easy to do if you just stand in the right place. Go to the garden in front of the porch on the left; near the pink flowers and shrubs. Stand there and the lawn mower can't hit you.

Save the bunny from the Exterminator.

When the exterminator truck shows up, shoot the guy with the hammer on top.

Finish with the wagon at least half full.

Keep close to the wagon during the entire mission. At the end, the best bet is to take out the two rats first. Grab either of their guns and then use the gun to keep the large gopher and the other two gophers away from the wagon.

18. Cave Interiors

Primary Goals

Save Heather from the rats.

After you blow up the door of the third rock pillar room, Heather will run to you.

NOTE: There is loot in this level. After you blow up the cave in the first rock pillar room, grab the TV and bring it back to the loot zone.

Get to the cave exit.

You have to make your way through an area where you have to shoot enemies across the cave. In this area, progress slowly so you don't trigger too many enemies at once.

Secondary Goals

Break 50 rock pillars.

There are three main rock pillar rooms, with a path with some rock pillars between room two and room three. Break all of the pillars.

19. Below Vincent's Den

Primary Goals

East 60 chips!

Chips are falling from the ceiling. Collect them.

Secondary Goals

Don't get hit by any rocks.

You'll see rubble and dust fall just before the rock falls. Keep an eye on this and move when you see the rubble.

20. Mountain Paths

Primary Goals

Find the cave entrance.

All four keys are in the cave. Explore each path.

Get to the cave exit.

The second left path will take you to the door.

Get up to Vincent's den.

Be aware that you'll have to use your fishing pole to cross several large gaps (look for the flashing button).

Secondary Goals

Don't fall off the mountain.

You can fall in the cave. You can't fall off of any of the mountain paths.

Knock 5 enemies off.

You'll probably get this just by fighting normally. Try to attack enemies near the edges.

21. Vincent's Den

Primary Goals

Defeat Vincent.

You have to attack his helmet or his backpack. This will require you to jump and attack. When he does his ground pound, jump out of the way. Be sure to grab the Colander Hat for extra health.

Secondary Goals

Collect all of the chips.

Before you attack Vincent, run around grabbing all of the chips.

22. Conner Heist, Pt. 1

Primary Goals

Get out of the yard.

Fight your way through enemies until the gate opens. Go through, shoot the rats, and then jump the lasers.

NOTE: There is loot in this level. The record player (luggage?) is near the gate. Bring it to the loot zone in the gazebo.

Free your caged friends.

Break open the four cages and defeat the enemies.

Get into the sewers.

Go to the end of the level. If you can drop into the sewer but the level doesn't end it means you still have some enemies to defeat.

Secondary Goals

Don't set off a trap.

No lasers and no bird house nets. This is easier on a second playthrough.

Break 2 bird houses.

1 - Hanging from the patio.

2 - In the gazebo. Follow the path (train tracks) to the left.

Find Rufus.

He's in a cage by the hot tub.

Break into the Conner's house.

Automatically completed once you find Rufus.

Secondary Goals

Don't set off a trap.

Don't worry about the cages. They don't count. Don't set off any motion sensors.

Break 3 bird houses.

1 - To the left of the porch.

2 - On a tree on the path to the hot tub.

3 - Over where you find Rufus.

25. Conner House

Primary Goals

Get to the kitchen.

In the hall where you have to use your fishing pole, use it when the lasers are about halfway on their way down.

Open the pantry.

Grab the key on the kitchen island and use it on the locked door.

Disarm the security system.

In the pantry, activate the control panel and push the correct buttons.

Toss the food to Penny.

Open the cabinet with the matching food and toss it to Penny. If you're not reaching Penny with your toss, you're hitting the wrong button.

Secondary Goals

Don't wake the dogs.

Tip-toe around when near the dogs. This is easier when playing through for a second time.

26. Conner Heist Escape

Primary Goals

Protect Ozzie and the wagon. Retrieve 30 chips and 5 snacks.

You need to grab the chips. When you get to a snack, you'll get a flashing button. Push it and Rufus will swoop down and grab it. Try to stay on a straightforward course...don't backtrack or retrace your steps.

Secondary Goals

Finish with the wagon at least half full.

Stay near the wagon. Hit the bombs away from the wagon. Use your Spin Attack (hold down the Special Attack Button) to clear many enemies at once.

Retrieve all the chips and snacks.

Grab them all. You'll do better on this as you learn the pathways so that you make an efficient route. This is also easier if you have a partner to help you. The path that worked for me was to go right, upper right, down along the right side, along the bottom, up the left side, and then getting the last two chips in the middle. Avoid getting hit by enemies to save some time.

Primary Goals

Get to the maintenance exit.

On the way to the end you'll encounter three tricky areas. The first is the swinging mechanism to open the gate. Just hit it from the porch of the building. The second is the safe that you need to knock off in order to proceed. The third and most difficult is the mine cart area. I suggest that you use Hammy. In order to get the mine cart to move, you have to activate a number of switches. The game teaches you to extend your jumps by hitting the Attack Button while in the air. For the first jump: jump and hit the attack button at the peak of your jump. For the second jump: just jump normally to the platform. For the third jump: double jump, and at the peak of the second jump, hit the attack button. Now that you have the basics, complete the jumps from platform to platform.

Secondary Goals

Find all 4 coolers.

1 - Break the wooden door of the shack after going up the stairs from the Saloon.

2 - On the water tower, to the right of the Stable.

3 - After hitting the swinging mechanism that opens the gate, go up and through the next door. On the left is the Jail. The cooler is on top of the Jail. It's hard to jump to it with Hammy, so use your non-Hammy character (RJ, Verne, or Stella)

4 - On right of the path, after going through the door to Hole 15 (where you have to defeat 12 bunnies).

Don't fall off the mine cart platforms!

This is specific to the button pushing platforms near the mine cart. Use Hammy.

28. Roller Coaster Tracks

Primary Goals

Get to the end of the coaster.

Make your way to the end.

Secondary Goals

Defeat the badger.

The badger appears at the end. Fight him on the lower end of the tracks. If you go to far, the level will end.

Find all 3 coolers.

1 - On an upper platform accessed via the first elevator platform.

2 - Hanging from a platform in the next area after fighting the 8 weasels.

3 - This one will require some teamwork. You'll get to the button that lowers an elevator platform behind you. Place on character on the lowered elevator. Switch characters and have him hit the button again, thus raising the other character. Switch back and you'll be up on the platforms giving you access to the cooler.

30. Gladys Heist, Pt. 1

Primary Goals

Get into the house by the pool.

Before you move the statues in the laser area, clear the area of rat and gopher nests. Move the frog statue first and then the turtle statue.

Drop into Gladys' yard.

When you get onto the roof, you'll have to grapple to get to the next ledge. At the end of the construction platforms, drop down into the yard.

Defeat the Depelter.

Stay away from it and shoot the middle, air intake, part of it. Then, shoot each of its "hands". Finally, go to the back of it and open the propane cage. Whack the propane tanks. Repeat. If you need health, there is pizza in the area.

Secondary Goals

Find three hidden coolers.

1 - From the start, go up to the stack of crates and the stacks of 2x4s. It's behind the stack of 2x4s.

2 - Go through the door at the top of the stairs. Hang a left and follow the planks to it.

3 - Along the short left side path, just before you drop down into the yard.

Don't hit a laser.

31. Gladys Heist, Pt. 2

Primary Goals

Get the key.

From the start head right. Break the trellis to reveal the security panel. Push the buttons it shows you to disarm it. The key is on the porch. Jump up to get it.

Unlock the moving truck.

Once you have the key, go to the back of the truck.

Enter the truck cab from inside the trailer.

Simply open the hatch.

Secondary Goals

Smash all of Gladys' boxes!

Never trigger security system.

If you disarm the security system right away, this is much easier.

32. Gladys Heist Escape

Primary Goals

Survive the ride.

Secondary Goals

Shoot all of the van's weapons.

Anytime the van comes up along side of you, shoot it. You'll automatically target the guns, so just concentrate on shooting.

Defeat the rats.

There are three rats as you go around the cul-de-sac. Shoot each of them.

33. Protect the Woods!

Primary Goals

Defeat all enemies.

Self explanatory. The only tip is, when the bear comes out, focus on the armadillos and the rats before attacking the bear. By taking on the little guys first, you'll get health so that you can fight the bear (or your partner may have taken care of the bear by then).

Secondary Goals

Finish with at least half your health.

Collect chips when you defeat enemies to keep up your health.

Primary Goals

Break into Vermtech.

Go up the stairs. Move each of the two vermtech boxes onto the vermtech platforms.

Pull eight switches to open doors.

Pull the two switches in each of the four rooms.

Ride the elevator to the bottom floor.

Survive the ride. If a laser hits you before the time runs out you'll have to battle some enemies. If you can survive the lasers, you'll have an easier time. I recommend staying in a corner and double jumping when the lasers come your way.

Secondary Goals

Don't set off a camera trap.

Don't get caught by the blue lasers.

Destroy every object in Vermtech.

Break every desk, book, container, globe, etc. in each of the four rooms.

Don't get knocked out in the elevator.

My best guess for this one is to not get put to sleep by the rats with the bubble guns that unleash a gas. During the ride on the elevator, lasers hit me, I was hit with various fire and ice guns, but I never got hit with a bubble gun.

35. Rescue Heather

Primary Goals

Destroy the mind control machines.

Destroy each of the four orbs along the outer path.

Finish off the central computer.

Shoot the hanging unit above the Exterminator's head. However, there is a rotating shield guarding the area that you need to shoot. Run around the platform and line up with the opening in the shield and shoot it. Re-align yourself when it rotates again and repeat. Use the pizza around the platform wisely.

Secondary Goals

Defeat 48 capped animals.

As you approach each of the four mind control machines a door will open in the middle. Each door will release 12 capped animals (in four groups of three). Defeat them BEFORE you destroy the mind control machine associated with each door.

Minigames

R.C. Rally

Controls are shown to you at the beginning of the race. While racing, lightning bolts refill your boost meter. A triple lightning bolt completely refills your boost meter.

Range Driver

This is target practice. Shoot the objects that the games tells you to shoot. Earn enough points within the time limit to move on.

BumperCarts

The same controls as R.C. Rally. There are tokens that you can pick up. Shield gives you temporary invincibility. Spike Ball increases the damage you do to other carts. Heart refills your health. Gas Cannister fills your boost meter.
