Your goal is to protect the ship (behind you), from the oncoming attackers. The most important aspect of successfully completing this objective, and making it through the level, is to be able to see your attackers. There are Goggles in the water near the ship. However, I don't suggest you look around for them until the objective is complete. Instead, from your insertion point, move at a left diagonal a few step to the first tree. At the base of the tree (on the right side) is the RCP90. Swap your P9P for it and activate its secondary function to enhance enemy locations (enemies glow red, friends, like the Pilot, glow green).
Now that you can see your enemies, it time to start picking them off. To do this, I suggest you face the ship behind you and run to the back right corner (between the waterfall and the ship). From this position, you're fairly hidden by the heavy foliage, and you can easily spot those who are at the front of the pack, and, therefore, the greatest threat to the ship. You will take some hits, but you will no matter where you are in this area. Also, as an Agent, you won't take much damage from being hit, so, if you're bored in the corner, just charge your opponents.
When you clear the area of enemies, you'll complete the objective.
Collect the Goggles (near the dropship, in the water), Ammo, and Guns in the area (specifically the DW-P5), then move to the back left corner (near the double waterfalls), then slip through the opening between the rocks to your right. Move straight forward and you'll run into a statue head. Look directly left of it to locate another narrow path. Take it and you'll come to a jungle fortress.
Take cover behind the statue to your right, then use your visual enhancement (Goggles) to spot the many guards atop the fortress. Equip the silencer on the DW-P5 and begin picking them off. Be warned, if you miss, they'll cause a stir and some will come at you with mounted guns, so try not to miss.
Once you've eliminated everyone protecting the jungle fortress, follow the waypoints along the right side of the hill, and move up the ramp leading to the fortress. Look out for one more enemy as you go, high and to your left, as his grenades took me out a couple of times. Take the ramp up, then move left, then hang a right at the fork. Look out for the enemy in the hut here, then move left and up. At the top, hang a right and look out for the man in front of you. Eliminate him, then enter his room. Climb the ladder and take out the man at the top.
Move across the bridge and take out the man in the next hut. Grab the Body Armor, then move through the next door, to the jungle path. CHECKPOINT. Take it to the bottom, where you'll find a statue head in the water. Take cover behind it and pick off the enemies in the water ahead of you. Move through the water and you'll be given another objective, Support: Rescue Dropship Pilot.
Continue forward. When you spot the third statue head, look left, and you'll see a statue-lined opening. Move through it and shoot those shooting at you (don't miss the man shooting from atop the tall statue near the waterfall). Continue along the river path. You'll eventually come to a low stone in the river. Scoot over it and you'll see its attached to a bridge. Again, equip your Goggles and note the many enemies in the area. Clear them out, then move across the bridges and eliminate anyone else who pops up.
As you move across the bridges, note that when you're on an area of land between bridges, and that area of land is surrounded by highly rooted trees, there's a decision to make. You can continue across the bridge directly ahead of you, or you can move across the bridge to the right. I suggest the bridge to the right.
When you reach the dirt path, equip your Goggles, if they're not still on. When you pass the statue head, look for a mass of men in front of you. The one glowing green in the drop ship pilot. Eliminate each of the red glowing men to successfully Support: Rescue Dropship Pilot. Note, if the men aren't directly in front of you, it means you didn't take the bridge to the right, so, look up, and you'll see your man being held hostage on a high bridge-like structure. Eliminate the men glowing red around him.

If the pilot was directly in front of you, continue down the dirt path, with the Pilot by your side. If the pilot was being held on the above bridge, head up the hill on left (where you'll find the destroyed ship), clear out the men, and let the Pilot reach you. Either way, once you have the Pilot safely by your side, follow the waypoints past the destroyed ship to the ruins. Also, keep your eyes out for a dropped M60, as I picked one up the first time I went through (although never again). Keep your eyes out for a Frag Grenade, too.
Turn your Goggles on before entering the ruins, as there are many mines on the ground which are hard to see with the naked eye. Shoot them as you make your way forward along the waypoints. Hang a right at the far end and continue up the jungle path. But your Goggles on (right on D-Pad), then continue to follow the waypoints. Eventually you'll spot the large group on enemies, hopefully before they spot you. They're dangerous, as one enjoys tossing the grenades, so kill them quickly.
Move forward and you'll spot a Hoverpac directly in front of you. Personally, I'm not a fan of the Hoverpac, but, if you want to use it, use the control sticks to move you around, "RB" to take off and land, "LT" to rise, "RT" to shoot, and "A" to mount/dismount. In the Hoverpac or on the ground, eliminate the two men on their own Hoverpacs to the right (headshots are your best bet). Also take out the man at the far end of the bridge. When all is clear, move across the bridge and up the path to your left.
With your Goggles on, you should be able to spot some guards in the distance. Keep your distance from them as you eliminate them. Move forward and continue to pick off those in front of you. As you approach the stairs you should be able to see some enemies pretty far away. Take them out before you climb the stairs. At the top of the stairs take cover and continue to shoot those in the distance. When the area is clear, move along the waypoints and up the next set of stairs. Carefully follow the waypoints as they turn left. Here you'll spot a new set of enemies atop the next set of stairs. Eliminate them, move up the stairs they were protecting, and take cover at the top. Look right and kill the enemies here. Once this is done, your path to the Dig Site is clear. Follow the waypoints and move through the doorway to complete the mission.
