Part 4: Save Fountain 20 - Save Fountain 29

20. The Temple

Use the Dagger Switch across from the Save Fountain to open the door. Go through and go down the spiral stairs. Go out onto the small balcony for a scene of Vizier killing people below.

You'll turn into the DARK PRINCE.

Hop over the railing, jump to the ledge across from you, and then drop down to the beam below. Jump to the next beam where you'll be above a balcony. There is a Guard below. Hang down from the beam and wait as the Guard patrols until you get a Speed Kill opportunity. Remember, to do a Speed Kill with the Dark Prince, you have to rapidly tap your "Daggertail" button to choke/decapitate him. A Dog will also attack. Kill him.

When the balcony is clear, go to the area where there is no railing and Wall Run the wall so that you land on the stone platform in the corner. From here, Wall Run again but this time, near the end of your Wall Run, jump and do a double Chain Swing on the next two poles, thus landing on the balcony on the other side.

If facing out over the room, look to your right. You'll see a partial wooden beam sticking out of the wall. Wall Run and jump to the beam. Jump to the next beam, this one being above another balcony with a Guard. Wait for a Speed Kill opportunity and do it. After he's dead, two Dogs will attack. Kill them.

From this balcony, you'll see a Demon Stone Switch. This one actually isn't a switch, but use your Daggertail to pull it out from the wall and then jump to it. Vertical Wall Run up the right side wall and jump to the balcony above. Go through the archway.

Here, you'll see a Demon Stone Switch across from you and a deep chasm below you. Drop down to the ledge of the chasm and shimmy so that you are across from the Demon Stone. Use your Daggertail to pull the Demon Stone and then jump to it.

Wall Run the left wall, doing Chain Swings as you go. When you hit the Rebound Shutter jump. This will send you to another Rebound Shutter. Jump again. This will propel you to a balcony where you'll end up on a balcony in between two Guards. Speed Kill one, then sneak up on the other and Speed Kill him. A Dog will attack. Kill it. If you weren't able to Speed Kill the second Guard, just fight him normally.

Go to the part of the balcony where there is no railing. Wall Run the right wall, Chain Swing on the lantern, and then jump from the wall, doing another Chain Swing, finally landing on a corner wooden platform. You'll see a large statue. There is a small gap between the statue and the wall, perfect for a Close Wall. Wall Run the right wall and you'll end up between the statue and the wall. Jump forward, do a Chain Swing on the pole, and you'll end up at the next statue, between it and the wall. Slide down, jump forward to the corner platform and Wall Run to the next corner platform.

From this platform you'll see an upper platform/balcony with a Guard (there are actually two Guards, but you can only see one right now). Wall Run up the left wall and jump so that you grab onto the ledge of the upper platform. Sneak up on the nearer Guard, Speed Kill him, and then sneak up on the other Guard and do the same.

From this balcony, you can look out over the room with a red curtain on either side and light shining through the windows in front of you. Although the obvious way would seem to be to Wall Run to the red curtain on the right, this in not the way you want to go. Instead, you'll be using the curtain on the left. Hop over the railing on the left, to the left of the double column, and shimmy so that your back is lined up with the red curtain. Jump from the railing to the curtain and you'll safely slide down to the ground.

Now at ground level, many Mer-Men will attack. Remember, they don't like light. Stand in the middle of the bright spot on the floor and start killing them. There are an infinite number of them (waves of them will keep coming) so when your health is full, first locate the Treasure Chest for 10 Sand Credits, then note the Floor Switch. Step on the Floor Switch, activate a Slo-Mo (Eye of the Storm), and go through the now open door.

You'll see another Floor Switch and a stairwell with many dangerous obstacles. The Floor Switch operates a door at the top of the stairs. Step on it, activate a Slo-Mo and run up the stairs, dodging the obstacles (they are actually pretty easy to dodge due to the fact that you're in Slo-Mo mode).

When you go through the door at the top of the stairs, go forward. You'll see Vizier and you'll enter some water, thus turning back into the GOOD PRINCE.

After the transformation, Vizier will have disappeared. You are in a circular room filled with water. Go to the Rotation Switch and rotate it to drain the water. Two Red Ninjas will attack. They move fast and like to throw daggers at you. Your best bet is to activate a Slo-Mo (Eye of the Storm). This gives you the advantage. Run up to one of them and start slashing with your Dagger. Repeat for the second one. Also, when fighting them at normal speed, keep your "Block" button held down in order to block as many of the daggers being thrown at you as you can.

After the two Red Ninjas are dead, look up to find the partial circular column hanging down from the ceiling (it's near the Rotation Switch). Vertical Wall Run up the wall and jump to it. Climb the column, jump to the next column and then to the stone platform. Wall Run the right wall and jump near the end of your Wall Run so that you end up hanging from a pole sticking out of yet another column. Climb up on top of the pole and jump to the higher one. Swing from this pole to the one across from you.

In front of you, you'll see a Blue Banner/Cloth hanging down over an opening in the wall.

Life Upgrade 3

Jump through the opening in the wall that is covered by the Blue Banner. Wall Run to the curtain, slide down, jump across to the other curtain and continue to slide down to the ground. Run along the hallway and drink from the fountain.

You'll be transported to an obstacle course. The first part of this is easy and fun. Wall Run to the Rebound Shutter and then jump from Rebound Shutter to Rebound Shutter until you end up hanging onto a circular column, which itself is hanging from the ceiling. The column will soon crumble and fall, so you'll need to move quickly. In your way are four sets of nasty Rotating Blades. Jump from the column as soon as you see the blade pass by your jumping path. You'll end up on the next crumbling column. Repeat until you get to the glorious light, the Life Upgrade.

End Life Upgrade 3

Backtrack through the hallway and you'll soon see a ledge you can Vertical Wall Run up on the left, which give you access to a door. In front of that door is a Floor Switch. Step on it to open the door. Lo and behold, you are back in the circular water room.

Make your way back up to the point where you jumped through the blue banner. Continue to use the poles and you'll soon climb up through the opening in the ceiling to the next hallway where you'll see a Rotation Switch. Rotate the switch to close the door you just came through and to open the next door for you to go through.

Go through the door, Wall Run, and ride the two curtains down to the ground (you'll have to jump from one curtain to the other). Go through the doorway and Vertical Wall Run up to the Dagger Switch. This will open the next door for you, but you'll have to activate a Slo-Mo to get through. If you don't have any Sand in your Sand Tanks, there are plenty of jars/vases around.

Go through the door you opened with the Dagger Switch and Wall Run to the railing across from you. Climb over the railing and you'll be on a small balcony. There is a ladder on the right. Climb up the ladder. You'll end up in a hallway. On the left is a Save Fountain.

21. The Marketplace

Go forward from the Fountain for a cutscene with Farah. She is stuck behind a door. You need to open it. This will take some doing.

Facing Farah, go to the right-most part of the balcony (down the small set of stairs) and Wall Run the left wall, jumping at the end of the Wall Run, thus grabbing hold of the lower wooden ledge of the protruding wooden structure (window box). Shimmy around to the other side of the wooden structure, get up onto the ledge and then jump toward the wooden lattice. The wooden lattice and the wall provide a Close Wall for you. Slide down. Turn around.

You'll see two Guards below. There is also a partial wooden beam in front of you. Wait for both Guards to have their backs to you and jump to the beam. When the two Guards are near each other and facing the same direction, do a double Speed Kill on them. In this alleyway, there is a basket (shaped like a block) and a Floor Switch which operates the nearby door. To get through the door, move the basket so that it rests on top of the Floor Switch. This will hold open the door. Go through the door.

Follow the alley around to the decorative door and Vertical Wall Run up it. Pull yourself up. Walk out onto the wooden beam. Below, you'll see three Guards. One of them is slightly different (stationary one on the right). He uses a Mace and is dressed differently. He'll be referred to as a Super Guard. He is your primary concern as he is more powerful than the other two Guards.

From the beam, jump to the wooden column (gallows) and then jump to the next column (be careful not to inadvertently slide down or else you'll be spotted). Jump to the right, to the upper Dagger Plate above the Super Guard. Do not drop down to the lower Dagger Plate. Wait until the roaming Guard has his back to you (he'll be next to the other Guard when that happens). Then, start your Speed Kill. This Super Guard takes 5 stabs, so be ready. Next, sneak up behind the other stationary Guard and Speed Kill him (he's a normal 2 stabs). Finally, if you're lucky, the other Guard still has his back to you (he'll be next to the burning wagon/cart) and you can sneak up on him and do a Speed Kill. If he sees you, just go ahead and kill him normally.

Alternatively, you can fight all three Guards in the normal way if you want. However, I recommend at least doing a Speed Kill on the Super Guard as he is tough to kill otherwise.

Now that this area is clear, locate the basket (block) near the other burning cart. Push it directly across, in between the two sealed archways. Get on it and climb up to the landing. Walk out onto the partial beam. Note that you are over another narrow alley, this one being protected by two Guards. Jump to the Dagger Plate. Wall Run right to the Rebound Shutter, jump, use the second Rebound Shutter which will propel you to a Dagger Plate. You are now on the other end of the alley, above one of the guards. The other Guard is roaming. He'll soon end up close to the Guard you are above. When the two Guards are close together, do a double Speed Kill.

Go to the end of the alley where there is a Dagger Switch. Operate it to open Farah's door. Farah will aid you by shooting down a basket (block). Note that there are two Floor Switches in this alley. Move the basket to either Floor Switch. Stand on the other. The door in the middle of the alley will open. Run through (if you need to, use a Slo-Mo, but you can make it without one if you roll under the door).

You are inside. Go up the ladder to your right. You'll end up on a landing. There is a Dagger Plate on the wall. Vertical Wall Run up to it. Wall Run to the right, jump off of the wall, and you'll leap across, grabbing onto the ledge on the left. Climb up to the landing with the broken railing. You are outside again.

Start a Wall Run at the broken railing and when you reach the Rebound Shutter, jump, sending you to the Dagger Plate. Wall Run right and when you hit the wall, simply let yourself fall to the ledge below. Move to the right, going around the corner. Jump to the Dagger Plate. Wall Run left and jump from the wall to the wooden beam. Jump from the beam to the next beam...it seems far away, but you'll make it. Get on top of this beam and jump to the Dagger Plate. Wall Run to the Rebound Shutter, jump, hit the next Rebound Shutter and you'll end up at a Dagger Plate. Wall Run left, to the wooden beam that spans the alley. Climb up onto the beam, jump to the Dagger Plate, and then Wall Run left to the ledge of the next hallway.

Follow the hallway to a Save Fountain.

22. The Market District

From the Fountain, drop down the small step then hang a right and drop down to the lower landing. Wall Run the right wall and then jump to the ledge on the large central square tower (looks like a bell tower). Drop down to hang from the ledge. Shimmy right, around the corner, and you'll see a Sand Gate below. You'll also see a Dagger Plate directly below you. Drop down to the Dagger Plate and then Wall Run right to the next Dagger Plate. Jump up to the recessed ledge, and shimmy right, around the corner. You'll see Farah, there are some baskets (blocks) blocking her. Don't worry about her now. Climb up onto the ledge (so you're not hanging), walk out onto the beam and jump across to the Close Wall. Turn around and slide down.

From your position, in between the Close Walls, note the Super Guard below you and two other Guards; one patrolling. When the patrolling Guard turns to walk away from you, start your Speed Kill on the Super Guard. Remember, he takes 5 stabs to kill. Then, quickly climb up the ladder that is next to you.

Now on the upper landing, jump across to the recessed ledge, shimmy to the left, around the corner and drop down to the beam. You'll now be above the non-patrolling (stationary) Guard. Wait for the patrolling Guard to come your way. When the two Guards are close together, initiate a double Speed Kill.

Around the corner from the ladder you climbed a minute ago, there is a Dagger Switch. Vertical Wall Run up to it and activate it. This opens the door to your left, at the end of the alley. Activate a Slo-Mo (Eye of the Storm) and run through the door. You are in a hallway. Follow the hallway (break jars to fill up on Sand Tanks if you need to) and then Vertical Wall Run up the decorative door. Walk out onto the beam.

From this vantage point, you'll be looking out over the area with the Sand Gate. Below, you'll see three Guards and the Sand Gate Guard. You can tell the Sand Gate Guard as he is the one with Sand flowing to him from the Sand Gate (he's also in red). It is possible to kill all four Guards with Speed Kills.

Here's how: From the beam you are on, jump forward to the next beam. Although the three Dagger Plates on the wall look tempting, all of the action will start from the beam you are currently standing on. The key here is to wait until the exact right moment to begin your first Speed Kill. There is a Guard below you, he'll be the first one you kill. Then, you'll work your way around the jars and kill the second Guard, the one to the right of the Sand Gate. Next, you'll kill the Sand Gate Guard, then finish up with the final, distant, Guard.

So, when do you start this massacre? Study the movements of the three Guards (don't worry about the one under you). Wait for the Sand Gate Guard and the Guard to the right of the Sand Gate to face each other (the Sand Gate will be between them). As soon as they face each other, begin your attack...not a second later or you won't have time to complete all four kills. (Note, make sure you are not above the jars when you start your first Speed Kill or you'll break them and draw the attention of the other Guards). After you kill the Guard under you, walk BEHIND the jars (you can't cut through between the jars and the Sand Gate), and sneak up on the second Guard (the one to the right of the Sand Gate). Then, sneak up behind the Sand Gate Guard (remember, he takes 3 stabs). Finally, sneak up on the final Guard. (Note, you'll have to do this quickly, taking the most direct route from Guard to Guard.)

Having tried this method at least 25 times, more often than not, you'll get through three Guards and will end up having to kill the last regular Guard the old fashioned way. As long as you get through three Guards (the third is the Sand Gate Guard), you are good to go. The Sand Gate Guard is dead (he can't call in reinforcements) and it's easy enough to kill that final Guard. If you are a stickler for perfection just let them kill you and try again.

Once the area is clear, go to the Sand Gate to collect 150 SAND CREDITS.

Now, locate the partially hidden stack of baskets (block). Pull out the bottom basket. This will allow Farah to jump across and continue along her way. Across from the basket, on the opposite wall is a Dagger Switch. Pull the basket so that it is under the Dagger Switch. Vertical Wall Run up to the switch to activate it. This will open a door on the same wall as the switch. Drop down and go through the door.

Follow the hallway to the ladder on the right wall. Climb up the ladder to the next hallway. Wall Run the right wall to the Rebound Shutter, jump to the next Rebound Shutter, and you'll end up on the next landing. You'll get a cutscene with Farah, begging you to help a suffering woman. The voice inside your head will fight you.

After the cutscene, there will be a Save Fountain in front of you.

23. The Bowery

Go forward in the hallway and when you reach the ledge, Wall Run the left wall, jumping at the end of your Wall Run to the ledge on the right wall. Pull yourself up, jump up to the recessed ledge above, shimmy left, and you'll be hanging from the ledge of a landing with an Archer. Wait for the Archer to turn his back. Climb up and Speed Kill him.

Hop over the railing and jump to the wooden beam. Jump from the beam to the recessed ledge on the next wall. Shimmy right and then drop down to the wooden balcony below. Go forward for a cutscene of Farah going through some large doors.

You'll turn into the DARK PRINCE.

Hop over the railing. Jump and Chain Swing. You'll land on a ledge which will collapse. Let it and you'll grab onto a lower ledge. Drop down to the ground and you'll have to fight six Red Ninjas (two groups of three). Remember, due to the fact that they are fast moving, use a Slo-Mo to help you defeat them. When you get a chance, locate the Treasure Chest for 10 Sand Credits.

Diagonal from the Treasure Chest is a barred window (criss-cross bars). Wall Run up the wall with the window to grab onto a ledge above. Jump up to the ledge above. You'll get a weird camera angle showing you a pole. Jump and Chain Swing from the pole. You'll land on a wooden beam. Jump from the beam to the railing of the balcony.

Climb up and over the railing, break the crates/objects here to gain some health, then enter the red-hued room. You'll see a Wall Switch. Activate it, activate a Slo-Mo and then roll under the nearby door that opened. Follow the hallway to the railing. Hop over the railing. You'll see a red curtain below you. Drop off of the railing to slide down the curtain.

In this great hall, you'll have to first battle three Ninjas (it's your first encounter with them...they're easy to kill) and then three Red Ninjas. Use Slo-Mos when you need to. When they are killed, climb up the circular column across from the central rectangular column. Jump to the ledge on the central column. Shimmy left around the corner and then jump up to the next higher ledge. You'll see a balcony on your right with an Archer. Jump to the balcony and Speed Kill the Archer.

From this balcony, Wall Run the right wall to the next, larger balcony. Here, fight the two Ninjas. There is an Archer on the next balcony. Wall Run to it and Speed Kill the Archer. Go through the archway. Find the decorative gate/door on the left. On either side of the door is a wall. Wall-to-Wall jump up these walls to the railing. Climb over. Go forward and on the right you'll see a Rotation Switch. Rotate it. This will lower some chandeliers which you'll soon use for a Chain Swing. Wall Run where the railing is missing, jump and Chain Swing on the just-lowered pole between the chandeliers. You'll end up in a hallway on the other side.

Go through the open door, along the hallway and you'll see a translucent curtain hanging in the hallway. Beyond the curtain is an Archer. Kill him. Continue to follow the hall. Go through the open door. The door will close behind you. Hop over the railing of the open window and you'll land in water.

You'll turn back into the GOOD PRINCE.

Hop through the window on the other side of the water and you'll be in a hallway with many floor saws and wall saws (if you need some Sand for your Sand Tanks, backtrack through the window you came through and break some jars). When the first set of floor saws pause, roll through. To get through the next floor saws, use a Slo-Mo and simply follow the saws on one side as they go back, then move left or right (depending if you started on the right or left) and continue to the wall at the end.

You'll see a Dagger Plate. Vertical Wall Run up to it. Jump up to the ledge above, then the next ledge, and then the railing of the next hallway. Hanging from the railing you'll see two Archers. Wait for the near one to turn his back and Speed Kill him. Sneak up on the other and Speed Kill him. Or, simply take them both out the old fashioned way. After they are dead, go to the end of the hall and Vertical Wall Run up the right wall. You'll get a cutscene of Farah and you talking. A mysterious woman, Mahasti, will attempt to kill you both. Your job is to go after her.

Vertical Wall Run up the next wall and you'll see a Save Fountain in front of you.

24. The Brothel

Boss Fight: Mahasti

Before you begin this fight, if you don't have a secondary weapon, backtrack to the lower pathway (where you killed the two Archers), break the weapon rack and grab the axe. Return to the Fountain.

You'll notice there is a Health Meter of your enemy, Mahasti, at the bottom of your screen. Go forward and drop off the ledge to the lower landing. Then, drop down the next ledge to begin your fight. (You are in an upper area of the castle, there is a platform in each corner and you can make a circuit by Wall Running and/or jumping, from platform to platform.)

Mahasti will jump across to fight you. She has two daggers and attacks quickly. Start fighting her. I recommend using lots of wall push attacks (push against a wall and hit your dagger button). Also, make sure to hold down your "Block" button when not attacking as she can easily take off a chunk of your health. If she does take off a large chunk of health, feel free to Rewind time and then dodge or block the attack. If you want, you can use a Slo-Mo to help you attack her.

When you've knocked off about 1/6 of her health, you'll lock daggers with her. Rapidly tap your Dagger button (it really doesn't matter if you're successful). Either way, continue to fight her. When you've knocked her health down about 1/4 (she has 3/4 remaining), you'll lock daggers again. Rapidly tap your Dagger button (again, it doesn't matter if you succeed or not). After you break the Dagger lock, you'll turn into the DARK PRINCE.

Mahasti will jump away from you, to the platform diagonal from you. Wall Run the right wall, making your way over to her. When you land on the next platform, a Red Ninja will appear. Kill her and then jump to the landing where Mahasti is located. Activate a Slo-Mo (Eye of the Storm). Attack Mahasti with whatever combos you like. If you fail to activate a Slo-Mo in time, she'll simply jump to another platform, and you'll have to chase her down there. When your Slo-Mo runs out, she'll jump to another platform and more Red Ninjas will appear.

The basic gist for the next part of this fight is to kill a Red Ninja (for health and to fill a Sand Tank), make your way to Mahasti, activate a Slo-Mo before she can jump away, attack her and repeat.

When you get her health down to about 1/6 remaining, you'll lock Daggers yet again. This time it's important to win the Dagger lock. If you lose, she'll kick you off the platform and, if you don't have any Sand Tanks remaining, you're toast. Win the Dagger lock and you'll kick Mahasti off of the platform.

You'll get a cutscene of the real Farah seeing you as the Dark Prince. She is appalled. After this, you'll get an automatic Save Point.

25. The Plaza

Move forward, jump to the red curtain and slide down the curtain. At the bottom of the curtain, jump to the ledge across from you. Move right along the ledge. Jump to the next hallway. Break some jars for health. Go along the hall, jump to the ledge, climb up to the next ledge, climb up onto the ledge, and move right around the corner. Jump and Chain Swing on the pole. You'll land on a wooden beam. Climb up onto the beam and then jump to the next landing. Wall Run, double Rebound Shutter, and you'll end up hanging from a beam. Shimmy right, drop down to the lower ledge, move right and you'll be in the next hallway.

Wall Run the left wall, Chain Swing from the lantern, and you'll land in the next hallway. From here, you'll see a room full of enemies. Enter the room and fight the Super Guards. Then, fight the Mer-Men. When all of the enemies are dead, go to the column where you'll get a Landscape View icon. Put your back to the column and face the wall. Look up and you'll see a pole with a red flag. Go right, Vertical Wall Run the wall, jump, and then Chain Swing from the pole you just saw. You'll land on the beam. Walk to the balcony.

Wall Run the right wall, Chain Swing from the lantern, continue your Wall Run, jump from the Rebound Shutter, to the next Rebound Shutter, and then to the top part of a column. You'll be hanging. Shimmy so that you can jump to the wooden balcony. Break the jars/orange basket for health. Hop through the open window.

Follow the hallway to the ledge. There is a room far below you. Wall Run the right wall, jump from the wall at the end of your Wall Run, Chain Swing, and you'll grab onto a recessed ledge. Shimmy right, around the corner, jump from the ledge, Chain Swing, and you'll grab onto a Chain. Slide down the Chain. Below you is a Guard. There is also a patrolling Guard on the other side of the room...don't worry about him. Initiate a Speed Kill, you'll automatically reach down with your Daggertail and decapitate him. Wait for the other Guard to turn his back, drop down, and Speed Kill him. Some Mer-Men will attack. Kill them. Locate the Wall Switch. Vertical Wall Run up to it to activate it. This opens a door on the same wall, past the archway. Run and go through the door.

You are now in an outdoor alleyway (very narrow, look up to see sky, buildings on either side), go down the alleyway, turn left, kill the Guard, then roll under the wooden slat door. Continue running along the alley, you'll see Farah running across in the distance, keep going and hop through the open window into the water.

You will turn back into the GOOD PRINCE. There is a Save Fountain on the right of this room.

26. The Upper City

In this room you have a Save Fountain, a pool, and a weird wooden structure with a wooden "T" on top of it. You can grab hold of the iron bar on the wooden structure to move it, however, there is a small gate blocking you from moving it more than an inch or two. Climb up onto the wooden structure (but not all the way up to the "T"). Put the wall on your left. You'll see a balcony on the far wall. Wall Run the left wall and jump to the balcony.

You'll see a Rotation Switch. Rotate it. This will cause the small gate blocking the wooden structure to drop. It also caused the two wooden panels on the wall to close so that they are flat against the wall. Jump down and grab the iron bar on the wooden structure. Move it along its path until you get it to the pool.

Climb up the wooden structure, all the way up to the top of the "T". Jump back to the balcony with the Rotation Switch and re-rotate it. The wooden panels on the wall will re-open, thus allowing you access to the Close Wall behind the panels. Jump back to the "T" and then jump to the Close Wall. Climb up. Turn around and jump to the wooden beam hanging from the ceiling. Climb up on the wooden beam and walk out the partial wooden beam, which is connected. From here, you can jump forward to another Close Wall. Turn around and very slowly, climb up, moving your camera so you can see above you as you climb. You'll see a Guard on a balcony. Wait for his back to be turned. Jump to the railing of the balcony he is on. Hanging from the railing, you'll see that there are actually two Guards and a Rotation Switch on the left. Wait for both Guards to be near each other and looking left. Climb up, sneak behind the first one, Speed Kill, then the other one, Speed Kill.

Go to the Rotation Switch. Rotate it. The door that is about halfway up from the ground, on the far wall if you're at the edge of this balcony, will open. You'll briefly see a Guard there. Wait for him to leave and then make a leap of faith (jump) from the edge of the balcony towards the door. You'll grab a ledge above the door. Wait for the Guard to show up under you and then leave. Drop down. You'll be hanging under the door. Climb up and sneak up behind the Guard for a Speed Kill.

Go through the archway and you'll be on a platform above an alleyway. Looking forward, you'll see a Rebound Shutter on both the right and the left and an open archway at the other end. Wall Run to the Rebound Shutter on the right, jump to the one on the left, then back to another one on the right, finally landing on the balcony with the open archway.

Go through the archway. You are now on a small wooden balcony overlooking a plaza below. You'll see a cutscene of Farah running below...she doesn't believe that you are good and still thinks that you have the heart of a Sand Monster. She says you are on your own (jerk!). You'll see a Chain hanging in front of you. Wall Run the left wall, jump to the wooden beam and then to the Chain. Slide down the Chain and drop down to the ground.

Four Mer-Men will attack. Remember, they don't like light. Stand in the light and fight them. When they're dead, locate the Treasure Chest for 10 Sand Credits. Then, locate the Wall Switch. Activate it. This will open up the well lighted door. Go through, but don't go any further.

You'll see a Guard in front of you. Wait for him to walk away (there are two more guards around the corner, but don't worry about them now). Vertical Wall Run up the right wall. You'll hang from a ledge. Jump across the alley to the wooden ledge. Move right to the corner platform. There is weapon rack if you need/want a secondary weapon. Wall Run to the Rebound Shutter which will send you to the first in a series of three alley-spanning wooden beams. Jump to the middle beam. Wait for the first Guard you saw to turn around and walk away from you (back toward where you entered this alley). There are two Guards under you. They should both be facing the same direction. Begin a Double Speed Kill. After they're dead, you can hide and wait for the other Guard to make another round and then sneak up on him, or, just ignore him and climb up the ladder on the right.

At the top of the ladder, do a Wall-to-Wall jump to the railing. Climb over the railing to the balcony. You'll see a wooden beam above and away from the balcony a tad. Still on the balcony, Vertical Wall Run to the left of the lantern and jump. You'll land on the wooden beam. Walk toward the wall, jump up to the ledge and pull yourself up. From this landing, you'll see a Sand Gate below.

Wall Run the left wall to the wooden beam. Jump to the corner wooden platform. Extending from the platform, against the wall, is a small ledge. Get on the ledge, drop down two more ledges, and move left onto another corner wooden platform, directly below the one you just came from. Put the wall on your right and look forward to see a Rebound Shutter. Wall Run to it, jump from it, then to the next Rebound Shutter, thus grabbing a ledge.

There is a Guard patrolling on the balcony below you. Move on the ledge so that you're above him and when you get the Speed Kill opportunity, do it. After he's dead look out over the area below. You'll see the Sand Gate Guard and two other Guards. Then, note the Rebound Shutter on the left wall. When the Sand Gate Guard turns his back to you, Wall Run to the Rebound Shutter and jump from it (otherwise, he'll see you running). You are on a small tiled balcony. Put the wall on your left. Wall Run and jump to the wooden beam.

Walk out to the end of the wooden beam. Below are the three Guards. Wait for the three of them to get near each other (they form a triangle). The Sand Gate Guard will then turn his back and walk away. The other two guards will be near each other and both their backs are turned to you. At this point, hang down from the beam, which will allow you to start a Double Speed Kill. When those two are dead, sneak up on the Sand Gate Guard and Speed Kill him.

Go to the Sand Gate to gain the WINDS OF SAND.

This is a powerful attack that will knock down all enemies within a certain radius of you. To activate it, tap your "Time Powers" button while your are Blocking. Each Winds of Sand attack uses two Sand Tanks.

Locate the Wall Switch. Activate it. A door on the wall to the right will open. Go through the door. Follow the hallway, climb over the decorative half-wall barrier, and note the basket (block) hidden by jars in the alcove in front of you. Break the jars, grab and drab the basket to the end of the hallway so you can Vertical Wall Run over the wall blocking your path.

Now on the other side of the wall, go forward to the end of the hall where you'll see a large stone block and some moss growing. Vertical Wall Run up the block, Vertical Wall Run up to the Dagger Plate, Wall Run left and jump to the next Dagger Plate. Jump to the ledge above, move right so that you can climb up to the next hallway.

On your right is a Save Fountain.

27. The City Gardens

Ah, the lush gardens of Babylon. Jump to the pole sticking out of the left wall (it looks like a beam, but it's a pole). Swing to the Dagger Plate, Wall Run to the next Dagger Plate, and then drop down to the small ledge that goes around the corner. Move around the corner, jump up to the higher ledge. While hanging, move right, and drop down onto the wooden beam. There is a garden river below. Jump across to the next wooden beam. Jump up to the ledge, climb onto it, move right, jump to the beam sticking out of the wall, jump up to the Dagger Plate, Wall Run to the next Dagger Plate and then again to the small, moss covered balcony/platform.

Above you is a Guard. Wait for his back to be turned, climb up, and Speed Kill him. Hop over the railing (it's the only railing you can hop over), jump to the pole, and swing to the next balcony. Go forward, hang down from the edge, Shimmy right (turning a corner) onto the ledge, drop down to the lower ledge, and then jump across to the ledge on the tower (there are Guards below). Hang from it, shimmy to the right and then jump to the palm tree (circular column). (Note, while hanging on the ledge of this tower, you can also shimmy to the left, but there is nothing you can do there right now...later, you'll remedy that.)

From this tree, you can look below to see four Guards. You'll take care of them in a minute. Slide down the palm tree, rotate, and jump to the next palm tree. This is the first in a line of three palm trees. Jump to the last (third) palm tree. Rotate and jump to the ledge on the wall (not the statue, you'll deal with that after you kill the Guards).

Move along the ledge so that you are across from the statue. There is a Guard below that will be patrolling back and forth underneath you. For directional purposes, if looking toward the statue, in addition to the Guard below you, you'll see a stationary Guard on the left, and another Guard on the right, patrolling up and down (North and South, if you will). Wait for the Guard below you to pass under you (going from Left to Right). The Guard on the Right will have his back turned at this point. Drop down on the Guard below and Speed Kill him. One down.

The Guard on the right should not have seen you do this. Move left and sneak up behind the stationary Guard mentioned in the last paragraph. Speed Kill him. Two down.

Hide behind the base of the statue so that the Guard on the right (the one that's patrolling) doesn't see you as he moves back towards the ledge you used to be on (he's near the third palm tree in the line of palm trees). Wait for him to turn around (his back is to the wall with the ledge) and then sneak up behind him and Speed Kill. Three down.

One more Guard to go...another stationary one underneath the arbor (the wooden beam structure above the Guard). Climb the palm tree near you (the third one in the line of palm trees). Jump to the middle palm tree and then to the arbor. Walk along the beam that is the arbor and you'll get a Speed Kill opportunity. Do it. That's all four Guards. (Note, if you're not getting the Speed Kill opportunity, walk the beam so that you're behind him, then drop down and do it.)

Head to the Statue. There is a Dagger Switch on the statue. Vertical Wall Run up to it to activate it. This will cause two wooden beams to rotate on each of the two towers. Climb up the first palm tree in the line of palm trees, jump to the very first palm tree, and then jump to the tower. You've been here before. Hang and shimmy all the way to the left, around to the other side of the tower where you can drop down onto the wooden beam that you activated with the Dagger Switch. Jump across to the beam on the other tower, jump up to grab the ledge, and then shimmy left to the other side of the tower. Climb up.

From here, you'll see a Dagger Plate across from you and above the Dagger Plate, a ledge. Jump to the ledge, drop down to the Dagger Plate, and then drop down to the ground/landing. Walk out onto the wooden beam and look to your right. You'll see two more beams (actually the last one is corner ledge). Jump to the end, the ledge, and then jump to the pole. Turn around on the pole so that you're facing the right wall. Swing, jump to the wall, jump from the wall, and you'll grab the pole above you. Turn around, swing and jump to the beam/top of the wall. Go out onto the beam and you'll see a Sand Gate.

You are now overlooking a Sand Gate area. Jump to the palm tree. Slide down a tad. You'll see the Sand Gate Guard and two other Guards. Jump to the top of the ruined wall, then to the Dagger Plate. Wall Run to the next Dagger Plate and then to the wooden beam.

You are now above the Sand Gate Guard. Watch the movement of the Guard on the right, the one that is patrolling. He'll move toward the Sand Gate, face it, then move closer to the Sand Gate, finally turning around to walk away. The moment he turns around to walk away, hang from the beam to begin a Speed Kill on the Sand Gate Guard. As soon as he is dead, you'll need to hide. Go toward the ledge of the drop-off and hang down from it. Shimmy left so that you are hanging below the base of the statue. You'll see the stationary Guard to your left. When his back is turned, shimmy to the left so that you are in-line/under him. Wait for his back to be turned again, and then watch as the patrolling Guard moves off to the left, out of view. Just before that patrolling Guard is out of sight, climb up, and Speed Kill the Guard. After he is dead, quickly run back to the ledge and hop back over, thus hanging down and hiding again. You only have the patrolling Guard left. Wait for him to walk away to the left, climb up and sneak up behind him for a Speed Kill.

Go to the Sand Gate for a new SAND TANK. You now have all six Sand Tanks.

Locate the Dagger Switch on the statue. Vertical Wall Run up and activate it. This will rotate a beam on yet another tower and raise a platform (maybe a flood door) for you in that same area.

Backtrack by climbing up the palm tree. Jump to the wooden beam. In front of you, you'll see the platform that was raised. Jump to it. Then, jump or Wall Run to the ledge on the tower on the right. Shimmy around, drop down to the beam, jump across to the beam on the other tower, climb up to the ledge, and then shimmy around until you can go no farther. Climb up so you are standing on the ledge.

Look below to see two Guards. Across from you is a ledge. Jump to it. Drop down to the lower ledge. From here, you can do a Double Speed Kill. From this landing, you can look down to see an arena of sorts (a circular area) with waterfalls streaming into it.

Wall Run the left wall to the pole. Swing and jump to the ledge. Move right, turn the corner and move to the end of the ledge. There are two more Guards below you. When both of their backs are to you, initiate a Double Speed Kill.

You'll be in a landscape view as you run on the path to the right, under the various waterfalls. There is a Treasure Chest near the end of the path which contains 10 Sand Credits. Break it and then hop down into the arena.

This is a pretty fun boss in my opinion. What's going to happen with this boss is you're going to slice his ankles from behind so that he falls, then you'll climb him and plunge your Dagger into his back. He'll take off running with you riding. You can control where he runs. He'll bust through the first large wooden door on his own and then it's up to you to guide him along the river, breaking through another door and finally a smaller door where you'll automatically jump to safety.

From the start, to get behind him, simply roll through his legs, or if you are having trouble, use a Slo-Mo. Once you're behind him, slash either ankle until he drops to one knee. Run toward him and you'll automatically climb him. Look for the Speed Kill indicator soon thereafter. Hit your Dagger button at the right time to plunge your Dagger into his back.

At this point, you can control him. However, let him smash through the first door on his own. Now, it's just a matter of guiding him along the river. If he crashes into a wall, he'll fall and crush you. Simply rewind time, if that happens. Halfway through the run, he'll bust through another large door, and then at the end, he'll bust through an arched doorway. At this point, you'll get a cutscene of you jumping to safety while the Huge Garden Monster conks his head on the archway, hard enough to kill him.

When play resumes, the path behind will be blocked. There is a ladder on the right. Climb it to the hallway. You'll see a Save Fountain in front of you.

28. The Canal

Life Upgrade 4

Face the Save Fountain, look to the right. You'll see an opening next to the grate/vent. Before you roll through the opening, break the jars near the opening for Sand. This will fill up three Sand Tanks, plus however many you already have. Then, roll through the opening. If you can't make it to the Fountain on your own by now, then you should probably not be playing this game. So, work your way to the Fountain and drink from it. You'll be transported to an obstacle course.

First, there is a vertical and a horizontal spinning blade pole with spikes on the floor. Place yourself on the right wall. As soon as the vertical blade pole hits the right wall and starts to move to the left, roll three times. This will get you past the horizontal blade pole (just barely) and will also serve to avoid the floor spikes.

Next, you have to Wall Run past the rotating saw blades. I recommend using a Slo-Mo at this point which will allow you to get past the rotating saw blades and the next two spinning vertical poles. To do so, activate the Slo-Mo, start your Wall Run just after the first blade starts to go into the bottom of the wall. Then, it's easy to simply run between the spinning poles as you still have Slo-Mo time remaining.

Finally, there is one final spinning saw blade. Again, I recommend a Slo-Mo. Once activated, you can easily roll by the blade. Enter the light for your Life Upgrade. Backtrack to the Save Fountain.

End Life Upgrade 4

From the Save Fountain, head left, climb the stone block and then Wall-to-Wall jump up to the ledge and pull yourself up to the next hallway. Wall Run to the ledge and then jump to the ladder (if you want to be cool, you can jump from the wall when you get to the wooden/sealed window and you'll land directly on the ladder). Slide down the ladder. Jump to the ledge. Move right, jump to the pole, swing to the next hallway. There is a Save Fountain on the left.

29. The Promenade

Move forward, turn the corner to the left, and wait for the Super Guard that you see below to walk away to the left. Climb up onto the wooden crate and jump up to the beam above. Jump forward to the pole and hang there until the Super Guard comes back. When he's under you, initiate a Speed Kill (remember, he'll take 5 stabs to kill).

Locate the basket (block). Move it to the right side of the railing of the water pool (you'll see scratches on the wall where you need to put it). Get on top of it. Look up to the landing above and in front of you. You'll see a Super Guard patrolling. Wait for his back to be turned. Then, Wall Run along the right wall. Near the end of the Wall Run, jump, and start a Wall-to-Wall jump. You'll grab onto the ledge below the landing with the Guard. Wait for him to turn his back again, then climb up and Speed Kill him.

You are on a grass-covered landing with a Wall Switch. Activate the Wall Switch. Look over the pool, along the right wall. You'll see that the switch has lowered a wooden panel, creating for you a path to Wall Run. By the time you realize what the switch did, the panel will probably have slid back up. Re-activate the Wall Switch to lower the panel, Wall Run to the Rebound Shutter, jump and you'll end up on a corner ledge. Move right along the ledge, turn the corner, and jump to the upper ledge. Jump across to the wooden window box (the wooden structure sticking out from the wall) and Wall-to-Wall jump up to the top of the window box.

From the top of the window box, Wall Run the right wall to the Rebound Shutter, jump to the next Rebound Shutter, and then to the railing of the balcony. Climb onto the balcony. Go through the archway. You'll get a cutscene of burning buildings and you'll say, "These people are clearly in danger."

You will turn into the DARK PRINCE.

Run forward and jump to the Chain. Slide down. Wait for the Super Guard to move under you and do a Speed Kill. Once he's dead, drop down. Two Dogs will attack. You remember how to kill Dogs, right? Stab them when they are sucking Sand for a one-hit-kill (as long as you have Sand to suck). If you aren't successful with that, attack them until they get knocked over and then stab them. Go back inside the silo where the chain is and break the jars for Sand.

Go out onto the balcony. There is a Dagger Switch on the wall. Activate it and watch as the shutters on the two windows close, creating for you a path to Wall Run. Go to the part of the balcony where there is no railing, Wall Run (over the shutter you just closed), Chain Swing from the lantern and continue your Wall Run which will end with you sliding down a red curtain. At the bottom of the red curtain, jump, and do another Chain Swing which will put you on the ledge below a balcony filled with enemies.

Climb up. Fight the Dog and the three Red Ninjas. Take out the Dog first. The Red Ninjas go down pretty easy when hit with the Daggertail. When they're all dead, locate the Dagger Switch. Activate it, thus closing another set of shutters.

Wall Run along the wall with the shutters you just closed. Chain Swing mid-Wall Run, then consecutively jump at the three Rebound Shutters. You will end up on a small stone landing with a Super Guard. The easiest way to defeat him is to attack him so that he falls off the ledge. Otherwise, just keep at him until he gets knocked over and then stab him with the Dagger while he's laying on the ground.

Wall Run the right wall, do the three Rebound Shutters to a Chain Swing which will have you land on another enemy-filled balcony. Kill the two Dogs and the two Super Guards. Wall Run the right wall to the wooden beam (I wonder why this wooden beam is here?) and then drop down to the balcony below. Locate the Dagger Switch and activate it. This will raise two shutters.

Go to the wooden beam (that's what it was for!), jump up to it, then on top of it, and jump to the open shutter. From the open shutter, jump to the balcony where you came from (backtracking). It's hard to see (if you payed attention to the cutscene you saw it), but the other shutter that opened is on a window on this balcony (if you face the door from the other side of the balcony from the door, and look up, you'll see it). You need to get up to it. Do a Vertical Wall Run to the right of the door and jump. You'll grab onto the open shutter. Climb onto it.

On top of the shutter, you'll get a Landscape View icon. Take a look and you'll see the pole that you have to jump to. From the shutter, Wall Run the left wall, jump, Chain Swing, Chain Swing again, and you'll land on a landing between two buildings.

Drop over the ledge on the other side, shimmy left, turning the corner, and continue to shimmy along the recessed ledge. At the end of the ledge is a Demon Stone. Use your Dagger Tail to pull out the Demon Stone, jump to it, then Wall Run from it to the ladder. Slide down the ladder. There is a Demon Stone across from you. Pull it out. Jump to it. Wall Run and jump to the balcony. The balcony is filled with water.

You will turn back into the GOOD PRINCE.

Jump to the ledge to the right of the waterfall filling the balcony pool. Then, jump up to the railing above. From here, you'll see the light beam from a Sand Gate. Hop over the railing onto the balcony between two buildings. On the left wall, note the succession of poles. Hop over the railing (opposite of where you climbed up) and shimmy to the left wall. Jump to the pole. Swing and jump to the next pole and then to the wooden beam. Get on top of the beam. Walk out and jump to the Chain.

From the Chain you'll see the Sand Gate Guard next to the Sand Gate, a patrolling Super Guard, a stationary Super Guard on the other side of the partition wall, and a rare second Sand Gate Guard on the wooden/stone balcony (actually, he's hard to see from the top of the Chain...you can see him from the bottom of the Chain). Slide down the Chain. Wait until the lower Sand Gate Guard has his back turned and then do a Speed Kill on the Super Guard below you (remember, he takes 5 stabs to kill). As soon as he is dead, hide behind the wooden tall wooden structure so that the lower Sand Gate Guard doesn't see you.

Vertical Wall Run up the tall wooden structure. You'll grab a ledge. Pull yourself up and jump up to the railing and hop over. You are now on top of the tall wooden structure. You'll get a Landscape View icon. Enter Landscape View and study the movements of the upper Sand Gate Guard, the one that is on the wooden/stone balcony which the Rebound Shutters lead to. This Sand Gate Guard walks forward and back on the balcony. He'll walk to the front of the wooden balcony and turn around, thus facing his back to the wall that you're going to Wall Run in a second. As soon as he turns his back, Wall Run to the first Rebound Shutter, jump to the next Rebound shutter and start a Speed Kill (you may not get the Speed Kill indicator on the Rebound Shutter...just pretend you did, though).

After this upper Sand Gate Guard is dead, break open the Treasure Chest for 10 Sand Credits. Then, climb the stone block in the corner and Wall Run to the top of the wooden wall. Jump the Chain. Slide down. You are now above the stationary Super Guard. Wait for the lower Sand Gate Guard to face left (aka, not looking in your direction) then start a Speed Kill on the Super Guard. As soon as he is dead, hide behind the partition wall.

Vertical Wall Run up the partition wall. Jump the wooden beam. From here, you'll get a Speed Kill opportunity on the lower Sand Gate Guard (the last of the Guards in this area). Do it and the area will be clear.

Go to the Sand Gate for 200 Sand Credits.

Before you head on, stand near the Sand Gate so that you fill up all of your Sand Tanks. Then, face the tall wooden structure that you earlier climbed. To the left of it is an arched doorway. Go through, hop over the stone blocks, and then follow the log path (kind of a conveyor belt). You'll soon be blocked by many smasher blocks (they have reliefs of Buffaloes on the their sides). There are saw blades on both sides of the walls above the smasher blocks. The blocks are pretty easy to get by, although it isn't going to be pretty. Activate a Slo-Mo and then work your way forward, trying to stay in the middle of the path as best as possible. You'll probably climb a smasher block or two as you go forward. If that's the case, just keep going. If you get smashed, rewind time. You will most likely take some damage going through here...it's ok.

Once you get past the smasher blocks, follow the path to the Save Fountain.
