LB's "Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones" Walkthrough and Strategy Guide

Part 5: Save Fountain 30 - Save Fountain 39

30. The Royal Workshop

From the Save Fountain, break jars if you need Sand, then activate the Dagger Switch and you'll get a cutscene of you going through the door. There is a Guard laughing at you from above for falling into the trap (saving people from a burning building). You get the idea to get the conveyors moving.

The goal here is to move the Statue so that it breaks through the door on the other side of the room. First, you have to get up to the switches that operate the Statue.

Go forward to the Statue and climb the staff of the Statue (it's a circular column, if you will). Rotate and jump to the wooden platform on the left wall. Vertical Wall Run and jump to the pole above you. Shimmy along the pole, turning the corner to the ledge of the next higher wooden platform. Climb up onto the wooden platform and then Wall Run to the wooden platform in the corner. Wall Run again and you'll end up between the back of the statue and the wall (a Close Wall). Climb up and then jump to the wooden platform in front of and below you. Wall Run and jump near the end of the Wall Run so you end up on the rectangular wooden platform. Drop down to the lower wooden platform.

On this platform you'll get a Landscape View icon. Take a look and you'll notice an upper ledge on the wall (the wall that the platform is sticking out from). Wall Run the left side of the wall (if facing the wall) and then Wall-to-Wall jump up to the ledge. Hang down from the ledge and then shimmy to the left. Jump to the wooden beam across from you. From the wooden beam, jump to the platform with the Rotation Switch.

In addition to the Rotation Switch, there is a Dagger Switch. Above it, you'll see an arrow pointing to the right. Rotating the Rotation Switch will turn the arrow from Right to Left. Activating the Dagger Switch will move the Statue in the direction of the arrow.

Don't touch anything. Instead, climb the ladder, go across the platform and down the ladder on the other side. Here, there is another Rotation Switch and Dagger Switch combo. Above this Dagger Switch is a symbol showing a Clockwise arrow. If you rotate the Rotation Switch it will turn the arrow from Clockwise to Counter-Clockwise. Activating the Dagger Switch will rotate the statue 90 degrees in the direction that the arrow is showing.

By now, you probably understand what needs to happen. Using both switches, you'll need to navigate the Statue through the various platforms and beams in order to get it from one side of the room to the other, thus crashing through the door.

I'm going to tell you the sequence of switches (but I'm not going to detail the running back and forth between the switches...I think you can handle that on your own). When I say, "Move the Statue one to the right," that means use the Dagger Switch with the arrow pointing to the right. It will move the statue one place to the right (aka, forward). Also, if I say, "Move the statue one Counter-Clockwise," I assume that you'll turn the Rotation Switch so that the arrow is in the Counter-Clockwise position, before you operate the Dagger Switch.

1. Move the Statue one to the right (forward).
2. Move the Statue one Clockwise.
3. Move the Statue one more Clockwise (the statue is now facing backwards).
4. Move the Statue one to the right (forward).
5. Move the Statue one more to the right (forward).
6. Move the Statue one Clockwise.
7. Move the Statue one to the Left (backwards).
8. Move the Statue one Clockwise (it is now facing forward again).
9. Move the Statue one to the right (forward).
10. Move the Statue one Clockwise.
11. Move the Statue one to the right (forward).
12. Move the Statue one Counter-Clockwise (now facing forward again).
13. Move the Statue one to the right (forward) and it'll smash through the door.

After the pretty movie it's time for a Chariot segment. You'll get an automatic save.

31. The King's Road

You are on a chariot. You'll recall from the last chariot segment that you can steer, slow down, and speed up using the left control stick. You can stab enemies who board your chariot by pressing the "Dagger" button. Since I can't steer for you, there's really no advice I can give. Just learn the course and if you crash, rewind time. When you get to the end of the segment you'll have to fight two Bosses.

Boss Fight: Axe Guy and Sword Guy

You are in a ring of fire. To defeat these guys you have to get pretty good at rolling around to avoid attacks. Please note the health meter at the bottom of the screen. The Axe Guy's meter is the lower part.

Attack the Sword Guy. After about three consecutive hits, the camera angle will change to show the Axe Guy doing a jumping attack. As soon as you see the Axe Guy coming, roll out of the way. The Axe Guy will get his axe stuck in the ground. Attack him until he frees his axe. Of course, while you're attacking the Axe Guy, the Sword Guy will still be attacking you, so try to put the Axe Guy in between you and the Sword Guy. Also, you can Block the Sword Guy's attack to avoid damage.

Once the Axe Guy's axe is free, repeat this procedure of attacking the Sword Guy, rolling out of the way, and attacking the Axe Guy when his axe is stuck in the ground.

After two or three times doing this, you'll realize that in the midst of attacking the Axe Guy, you'll see a Speed Kill opportunity. Do it, and you'll stab the Axe Guy once and the Sword Guy once. This will take the Sword Guy's health meter (the upper part of the meter) down to half. It will take the Axe Guy's health down to just over a half.

Resume the process of attacking the Sword Guy, rolling out of the way, and attacking the Axe Guy when his axe is stuck in the ground.

When you have whittled the Axe Guy's health (lower health meter) down to about 1/4 remaining, you'll get another Speed Kill opportunity. Be patient with this Speed Kill as it'll take a second to get going. This Speed Kill will also require you to do two stabs.

After the second stab, you'll get a cutscene and Farah will fire an arrow finishing off the Axeman.

Tips:

Try to get some good distance between the Sword Guy (whom you're attacking) and the Axe Guy so that A) the Axe Guy isn't attacking you while you're attacking the Sword Guy and B) you have more time to react to the Axe Guy's jumping attack.

Don't be greedy. Get in the attacks you can on the Axe Guy when he's stuck, but not at the expense of taking a bunch of damage from the Sword Guy.

Block anytime you see an attack that may hit you.

When attacking the Axe Guy when he's stuck, it's good to get in a quick combo, and then jump over him and do a combo from the other side. This should keep you separate from the Sword Guy.

The more Sand Tanks you have to start the better. Of course, that means getting through the Chariot segment by using as few Sand Tanks as possible. If you're having trouble, reload the Chariot race Save and master the course.

After you have killed the bosses you'll get an amazing cutscene of the people of Babylon rising up to buy you and Farah time to escape. You and she will become separated.

You'll turn into the DARK PRINCE.

You are trapped in an area with a plethora of Super Guards and Ninjas. Kill them all and the door/gate will open. Go through. The door will shut behind you. Face the balcony and railing. Go to the left side of the wall leading up to the railing and Vertical Wall Run up to it. Shimmy all the way to the right where there is no screen. Climb over and into the dining room. Go through the translucent red curtain and enter the water.

You'll turn back into the GOOD PRINCE.

Vertical Wall Run up to the railing. Climb over and you'll see a Save Fountain in front of you.

32. The Palace Entrance

Go forward in the hallway and you'll get a cutscene of you and Farah seeing an elevator/lift. Of course, it isn't working. When play resumes, break open the Treasure Chest for 10 Sand Credits and then locate the missing part of the railing. Wall Run, starting at the missing segment of railing. Jump from the Rebound Shutter to the small ledge. Then, jump across to the Close Wall and climb up.

You'll see a balcony across from you with a Rotation Switch. Jump to it. Rotate the switch to open the door. Go through the door, follow the hallway and find the section of screen missing on the left. Jump to the red curtain, slide down, and near the bottom, jump. You'll end up on a ledge on the wall across from the red curtain. Drop down so that you're hanging. Shimmy to the left.

You'll end up in a small room with a bench. Vertical Wall Run up the right wall and jump to the ledge on the left wall. Then, Wall-to-Wall jump up to the ledge of the balcony above. Here, you'll see two Guards. Hop over the railing and kill them (I wasn't able to get a Speed Kill here). When they're dead, Wall Run from the missing part of the railing and near the end of the Wall Run, jump.

You'll end up on a pole within the elevator/lift shaft. Swing and jump the next pole. Then, swing and jump to the Dagger Plate. Wall Run to the right and you'll end up on a balcony. You'll see a Dagger Plate on a wall across from the side of the balcony. Hop over the railing and jump to the Dagger Plate.

From the Dagger Plate, look to your right. You'll see a retracting platform. You'll also see a vertical wooden wall and another retracting platform above. As soon as the lower retractable platform extends, Wall Run to it. Quickly Vertical Wall Run the wooden wall and Wall-to-Wall jump to the Dagger Plate. Wall Run to the right and jump from the wall to the pole. Get on top of the pole and jump to the next higher pole. From here, you'll see two Ninjas ahead on the next balcony. Swing and jump to the next pole and then to the balcony. Fight the two Ninjas. There is also a Rotation Switch on this balcony.

Life Upgrade 5

Before you operate the Rotation Switch, look to the elevator shaft. You'll see a series of three Dagger Plates, one above the other, and a Wall Switch above them. Hop over the railing and jump to the first Dagger Plate. Jump up to the highest Dagger Plate and then Wall-to-Wall jump so that you activate the Wall Switch. As soon as you activate the Switch (which opens a door on the balcony), use a Slo-Mo, let yourself drop and quickly use your Dagger to catch yourself on any of the Dagger Plates. Jump back to the balcony and go under the closing door.

Follow the hall to the Fountain and drink from it. You'll be transported to an obstacle course. Jump past the first floor blade, thus landing just before the spiked half-log. Quickly drop down to a hanging position or the log will probably damage you (or preferably, this is the position you landed in after jumping past the floor blade).

When the log is flat, pull yourself up and jump the next gap, again, hopefully landing so that you're hanging from the ledge in front of the floor blade, not on the floor blade. Pull yourself up and roll by the blade. Vertical Wall Run up to the retracting ledge as soon as you see it extend from the wall, and then jump up from ledge to ledge...all of these ledges are retracting, but they are timed so that if you jump quickly, you'll have no problem. From the top ledge, jump across to the ledge of the next hallway. Pull yourself up.

Here, you'll face some criss-cross floor blades and three spiked half-logs. The easiest way to get by is to Wall Run the left wall when the left log is flat. You may take bit of damage from the floor log, but you'll end up past it, at the Life Upgrade, so it really doesn't matter if you take damage.

Walk into the light for the Life Upgrade. Backtrack to the door, step on the floor switch to open it, and you'll be back on the balcony with the Rotation Switch.

End Life Upgrade 5

Go ahead and rotate the Rotation Switch, which will open the other door on this balcony. Go through. Break the jars/ottomans for Sand. Vertical Wall Run up to the Dagger Plate. Then, jump up to the next balcony. Hang over the railing and jump to the Dagger Plate on the wall. To your right is the upper retractable platform that you saw earlier. As soon as it extends, Wall Run to it. Keep going forward and jump to the ledge on the wall (it's under the lantern and you'll get a Landscape View option on the retractable platform if you can't find it). Climb onto the ledge, move right, and then Wall-to-Wall jump up to the railing of the next balcony.

Hanging from the railing, you'll see two Guards. They haven't seen you. Shimmy to the right, hop over the railing, Speed Kill the first Guard and then sneak up on the second Guard to Speed Kill him. Wall Run from the missing railing of the balcony and then jump. You'll end up on a pole. Swing and jump to the next pole, swing and jump to the wall, jump from the wall to the vertical wooden wall, and then jump from the wooden wall to the Dagger Plate. Wall Run to the right. You'll land on a ledge. Move to the right, turning the corner and then jump across to the balcony.

Hanging from the railing you'll see a Guard on the right of the balcony. It's hard to Speed Kill him, so I recommend just hopping over the railing. Kill him and the two Ninjas who will appear. From where the Guard was standing, look back to the elevator/lift shaft and you'll see Farah. Hop over the railing and jump to her. You'll hang from the ledge below you. Pull yourself up.

You'll get a cutscene of you and Farah riding up the elevator to the heart of the Gardens of Babylon. Of course, she'll run off and become separated from you. You have to fight two Ninjas. After they're dead, take a look at your surroundings.

Heart of the Hanging Gardens

The elevator/lift is in the middle. There are some lamp posts around and, most importantly, a Rotation Switch. Rotate the Rotation Switch. The very tall recessed vertical wall will now start to move in and out. Go into the alcove where the wall is moving above. When the wall recedes, Wall-to-Wall jump up to the landing on the left.

On this landing, there is another moving wall. There is a Dagger Plate on the moving wall. Vertical Wall Run up to it. When the wall is extended, Wall Run to the left to another Dagger Plate. Jump to the Dagger Plate above and then up to the ledge of another landing. Climb onto the small landing.

On this landing, you'll have a Landscape View icon. Use it to see the tall vertical wall moving in and out. Note the Dagger Plate on the moving wall. As soon as the wall is extended, Wall Run to it and use the Dagger Plate. It will recess. Wait for it to re-extend, and the Wall Run to the right to the corner landing.

Wall Run to the red curtain. Slide down and then jump to the partial beam across from you. You are on the central square stone structure. Go onto the ledge of the central structure and move left, around the corner. Walk out onto the beam. Jump across to the Close Wall. Turn around. Climb up and jump to the Dagger Plate. You are back on the central structure, just higher up. Wall Run to the left and jump across to the Dagger Plate. Wall Run to the right. You'll grab onto a ledge near the arched doorway. Shimmy along the ledge and drop down. Go through the arched doorway.

Wall Run the right wall and jump across to the Dagger Plate. Wall Run right to the next Dagger Plate. Jump to the pole. Swing and jump forward to the next Dagger Plate. There will be a retracting wall to your left. Wait for it to extend and then Wall Run left to the landing with the Save Fountain.

33. The Hanging Gardens

You are now deep into the Hanging Gardens of Babylon. From the Save Fountain, head left to the open archway and look down over the ledge. You'll see a two Super Guards patrolling. Hang down from the ledge and drop to the ledge below. Move right, turn the corner and then jump up to the ledge above (yes, there is a Dagger Plate below you, but you can't use it yet). Shimmy to the right on this upper ledge and climb up to the landing. Move forward a tad and you'll get a cutscene of a large wooden shutter/gate blocking your path. Farah will shoot an arrow into the shutter/gate, making it close flush with the wall.

Wall Run over the now-closed shutter and jump from the wall to the pole. Drop down from the pole and you'll be in a Close Wall. Slide down. Below you is the balcony with the two Super Guards. Wait for the Super Guard below you to have his back to you and the Super Guard on the left to be facing the left wall. At this point, you'll have a Speed Kill opportunity. Start the Speed Kill on the Super Guard (5 stabs) below and then sneak up behind the other Guard and Speed Kill him, too.

Remember the Dagger Plate that was pointed out two paragraphs ago? It's time to use it. Facing out over the chasm, go to the right side of the railing where the railing is missing. Wall Run the wall and use the Dagger Plate. On the adjacent wall, you'll see a retracting platform. As it is extending (for timing purposes), Wall Run and jump to it. Quickly Wall Run again, thus grabbing onto a pole.

From this position, you can see a Sand Gate, two Sand Gate Guards and a Super Guard on a balcony to your left. Climb up onto the pole note the two poles and beam directly above you. Jump up to the next two poles and then to the beam. Walk out onto the beam. Jump to the pole (a tree branch, actually, a root of the tree). Swing and jump to the small stone platform in front of you.

Here, you'll get a cutscene of Farah asking you about your Father. The Prince has some regrets. Farah will close another shutter for you.

Wall Run across the now-closed shutter and you'll grab stone ledge. Drop down and drop down again to find yourself in a Close Wall. Turn around and slide down. Wait for one of the Sand Gate Guards to get beneath you. You'll get a Speed Kill opportunity. Do it. Then, sneak up behind the other Sand Gate Guard and Speed Kill him (you want to kill these two first so that they can't call for reinforcements). If you're lucky, the Super Guard didn't see you do this and you can Speed Kill him. However, more than likely, the Super Guard will be alerted to your presence. Fight him.

When all three are dead, go to the Sand Gate for the SAND STORM

You now have the ability to instantly kill enemies. Using it is similar to the Winds of Sand attack. While holding down your "Block" button, hold your "Sand Powers" button to charge up the Sand Storm attack. When it's charged it'll automatically be put to use. This power uses 4 Sand Tanks each time you use it.

Since you have unlimited refills when standing near the Sand Gate, go ahead and try this attack to get used to it. First, you'll have to pull out a weapon so that you can Block. Then, do the attack. Wait by the Sand Gate to refill all of your Tanks.

When you're ready to continue...hop over the railing near the Sand Gate and jump across to the Dagger Plate. Jump up to the next higher Dagger Plate. There will be a retracting wall on your right. Wait for it to extend. Then, do a Wall Run to the left wall and Wall-to-Wall jump up to the ledge on the left wall. Wait for the wall to retract and extend again. Then, Wall-to-Wall jump again, up to the next higher ledge on the left wall.

Shimmy to the left, around the corner. Get up, jump to the ledge above, and shimmy all the way to the Close Wall. Drop down into the Close Wall. Slide down and you'll see that there are two Super Guards below you, on a large balcony. They patrol and will end up below you, face to face. As soon as they turn around and start walking in opposite directions, begin a Speed Kill. Then, sneak up on the other Super Guard and Speed Kill him.

Go to the right side of the railing, where the railing is missing. Wall Run to the ledge in the corner. Shimmy to the left, turning the corner. You'll see a pole above you. Climb up onto the ledge and jump to the pole. Face right and jump to the ledge. Shimmy right, turning the corner and then jump to the small balcony behind you.

Go through the archway and you'll see a Save Fountain.

34. The Structure's Mind

From the Save Fountain, head left onto the beam, jump to the Close Wall. Below you are two spinning blades. They are pretty easy to slide by, but if you're having trouble, use a Slo-Mo. Slide to the bottom of the Close Wall and then drop down to the hallway below.

You'll have to face an obstacle course. Roll under the horizontal spinning blade and then put yourself in the small gap between the two sets of arrows (you won't get shot here). After the arrows fire, move forward and roll past the vertical spinning pole. Again, if you're having trouble with any of this, use a Slo-Mo.

You have reached a corner with two jars and two benches. Break them for Sand. Continue on and you'll have to get by three rotating blades in the floor. Definitely use a Slo-Mo here and go forward through the blades.

Go through the archway for a cutscene showing you the next area with three Rotation Switches.

This is a pretty room with a soft blue/white light coming through the decorative screens in the ceiling (there is also a large empty side room with a gap between you and the door). Go to the middle of the room, on the drainage grate, and face so that you have one switch on the left, one in front of you, and one to the right. Enter into Landscape View.

You'll see three Rotation Switches which I will now label: The one to your left is Rotation Switch 1, the one in front of you is Rotation Switch 2 and the one to your right is Rotation Switch 3.

Before you continue, locate the Treasure Chest to the right of Switch 2. Bust it open for 10 Sand Credits.

The Rotation Switches raise or lower the various platforms. The goal is to get all three platforms raised to their highest level. The quick answer to this is to move the Rotation Switches in this order: 3 up, 1 up, 1 up, 3 down, 2 up, 3 up, 3 up, 2 down, 1 down, 2 up, 2 up, 1 up.

Now for a little better explanation:

1. Go to Switch 3 and move it up one level.
2. Hop down and go to Switch 1. Move it up two levels. To get down safely, either use the nearby platforms or Wall Run to the corner column with the ledges and drop down from ledge to ledge.
3. Go to Switch 3, using the platform below and to the left of it, and move it down one level (it's back to its original position).
4. Go to Switch 2 and move it up one level. Hop back down to the ground.
5. Go to Switch 3 and move it up two levels. Wall Run to the corner column and drop down from ledge to ledge so that you're back on the ground.
6. Go to Switch 2 and move it down one level, back to its original position.
7. Go to Switch 1 by climbing up the corner column and jumping to the platform, below and to the right of it. Move it down one level.
8. Go to Switch 2 and move it up two levels. 9. Go to Switch 1 from Switch 2 by Wall Running to the corner column and jumping to the platform near Switch 1. Once on Switch 1, move it up one level.

That's it. All three platforms are now raised. A bridge will rise in the large side room. Get back down to the ground and go across the bridge. You'll get a cutscene with Farah. She'll be captured by Vizier. Vizier will destroy the bridge and you'll fall.

On the way down you'll turn into the DARK PRINCE. You'll get an automatic Save.

35. The Well of Ancestors (Part 1)

Go onto the half-circle balcony. You have to make your way down this octagonal well with all of the blue lanterns. Wall Run from the missing railing, Chain Swing, and continue your Wall Run to the stone platform. Wall Run, Chain Swing, and continue the Wall Run to an "L" beam. Climb up onto the beam and walk to the end of it. Jump to the left, Chain Swing on the pole, and you'll grab onto a Chain.

Slide down the Chain and drop to the beam below. Quickly walk along the beam toward the wall as part of the beam will collapse below you. Walk out onto the small partial beam sticking out of the main beam and jump to the small half-circle platform. Wall Run, Chain Swing, and continue the Wall Run to the next platform. Here there is a room filled with vases. Break them for Health.

Go back onto the platform, look left. Jump to the beam and shimmy to the left before part of the beam breaks off. Drop down to the lower beam and then to the platform below. Wall Run the right wall (you can't Wall Run the left wall), do a double Chain Swing on the two lanterns, and you'll end up on the next platform. Wall Run and Chain Swing to the next balcony. Wall Run to the ledge and drop down.

Here, you can enter a room with a central circular column and many enemies: Mer-Men and a Red Ninja. They are here, basically, so that you can refill your health. After they're killed, go back out to the platform and Wall Run the right wall to the next platform.

This is actually a little tricky. Go to the back of this platform and drop down off of the left ledge. There is a rough stone Close Wall below you. Drop down into the Close Wall and slide down. Drop down, fight the Mer-Men and then exit the room and do a double Chain Swing from the two poles. You'll land on the other side of the gap, on a platform.

Wall Run the right wall, double Chain Swing from the lanterns and continue your Wall Run to the beam. Drop down to the lower beam and then to the platform below. Here you'll get a Landscape View icon. Take a look and note that you'll have to do a Wall Run and quadruple Chain Swing from each of the four blue lanterns. When you get to the next platform, there are a few vases for you to break open for health.

The platform that you're on will lead you out of the octagonal well (temporarily). Jump the gap to the pole and Chain Swing from the pole. Follow the path and you'll have to fight about six Mer-Men for health. After they're dead, continue along the path, back to the octagonal well.

Work your way along the wall ledge and then drop down to the platform below. Wall Run the right wall to the next platform. Go down the stairs. Wall Run to the next platform and then to the next one. This platform is bigger and sticks out into the middle of the well. Two Red Ninjas will emerge and attack (Slo-Mo if you're having trouble killing them). Then, three more will attack.

After all of the Red Ninjas are dead, walk out onto the beam and jump to the Close Wall. Slide down the Close Wall and then drop down to the floor below. Follow the path. You'll see some vases on the right. Break them for health. Continue along the path.

Obstacle Course

You're going to have to do this next segment fairly quickly. It's basically a time trial. After a few tries, you'll get the hang of it.

You'll soon see a wall with two saw blades moving up and down. Activate a Slo-Mo. When you see the first saw blade hit the top of its path, start your Wall Run. You'll get to a collapsing ledge (it's blue) on the other side. Hang down. Shimmy to the right, turn the corner and then drop down to the lower (brown/tan) ledge. This is also a collapsing ledge. Move left and jump across to the ledge above the horizontal saw blade.

On this ledge, shimmy to the right until you reach the end of it. You need to drop down to the ledge below, but the saw blade is in the way. Activate a Slo-Mo and when the blade goes all the way to the right, drop down, thus grabbing the lower ledge (or, if you don't want to use a Slo-Mo, drop down when the blade hits the right side). Shimmy right to the next hallway and pull yourself up.

You have a triple rotating floor blade to get through. There are vases on the other side. Get on the right side of the hall, activate a Slo-Mo and when the third saw blade disappears into the floor, do a roll past all of the blades. Break the vases for health.

Continue along the hallway, jump and Chain Swing from the pole. You'll land on a collapsing platform. Quickly jump to the recessed ledge on the right wall. Shimmy to the right, jump across to the ledge on the other side, and drop down to the lower ledge. Then, drop down two more ledges. You'll land on the bottom ledge, standing. Move right, along the ledge, into the next hallway. Go up the stairs.

Here you'll face another rotating floor blade and two wall blades on either side of the hallway. Use a Slo-Mo and roll past the floor blade, then stay in the middle of the hallway to avoid the wall blades. Break the vases in the corner for health.

Next, you'll face two spiked half-logs. You need to get by them and then Wall Run the left wall to the Rebound Shutter. Since you just broke the vases, you should have some Sand Tanks. Activate a Slo-Mo, wait for the logs to lay flat, then run by them, Wall Run the left wall, jump from the Rebound Shutter to the ledge on the right wall. (There are also some arrows to deal with while you're Wall Running. You shouldn't have much trouble with them.) From the ledge, move right, jump to the next higher ledge and then jump across to the recessed wall ledge.

Shimmy right, turning the corner. In order to drop down you have to get through a wall blade. Use a Slo-Mo to make this easier and drop down. Go forward and there is another wall blade on the left. Above it is a recessed ledge that you need to reach. Use yet another Slo-Mo and Vertical Wall Run up the left wall, past the wall, and hang from the recessed ledge.

Shimmy to the right on the recessed ledge. Across from you is a Demon Stone. Use your Daggertail to pull it out from the wall. Jump to it. Then, if standing on the Demon Stone and facing the wall, jump to the left to the recessed ledge. Shimmy right and drop down. The final task is to get through the triple blade here: one floor and one each on each wall.

Activate a Slo-Mo, stay in the middle, and roll past the floor blade. The wall blades won't bother you. Step onto the floor switch which opens the door in front of you. Go through the door.

You'll get a cutscene of you picking up your Father's sword. You are in a royal chamber of sorts. You find your Father, dead on the floor. Your inner voice taunts you. You accept responsibility for all of your actions.

And, without water, you change back into the GOOD PRINCE.

You have your FATHER'S SWORD. It doesn't break, like other secondary weapons do and it can break through cracked walls.

A dozen or so Mer-Men will attack. Kill them. After they are dead, the game tells you to hold down your "Secondary Weapon" button near a cracked wall to break through. Go forward from your dead Father to the door in front of you. Break through the cracked stone door.

Go forward to find a Save Fountain on the right.

36. The Well of Ancestors (Part 2)

From the Save Fountain, continue forward into a dark chamber with many columns. Wall Run the left wall to get past the gap. Get ready. You'll be attacked by an Invisible Orc. Move right a bit and go forward, being careful not to fall off any ledges. You'll get to a gap that you can jump. Jump the gap and two Invisible Orcs will attack. Hang a left and jump the gap to find a Treasure Chest with 10 Sand Credits. Jump back across and go straight to the wall. Hang a right and then Wall Run the left wall, thus clearing another gap. Jump the next gap and fight another Invisible Orc.

Go the end of this platform/path and the camera angle will change so that it's looking down on you, thus showing you walls that you can Wall-to-Wall jump. Start on the right wall and you'll end up grabbing a ledge on the right. Pull yourself up and another Invisible Orc will attack. Go forward, jump the gap, hang a right and Wall Run past the next gap. You'll be on a small platform with a decorative column. Put yourself on the left of the decorative column and jump the gap, then the next gap, and go straight to the wall. Turn left and you'll see a faint Save Fountain. You won't be able to get it quite yet, though.

Jump the gap towards the Fountain. Although you'd think you could Wall Run to it, you can't. The wall isn't smooth. Turn to the left and jump the next two gaps and then jump the gap to the right. Fight the Invisible Orc. Face in the direction of the Save Fountain, with the wall on your left. Wall Run the gap, then jump the next gap to the Save Fountain.

37. The Labyrinth

From the Save fountain, step on the floor switch and go through the door. Follow the hallway until you reach the gap. On either side of the end of the hallway is a decorative column. Vertical Wall Run up on the right side of the right column. You'll grab onto a ledge. Shimmy to the left, drop down to a lower ledge, move left, jump across to another ledge. Move forward along this ledge, then drop down several ledges to the corner ledge. Walk around the corner ledge, jump up to the ledge above, then jump up to the ledge of the next hallway. Pull yourself up. Step on the floor switch and go through the door.

You are faced with another gap. Jump to the pole. Swing and jump to the next pole, this one spans the wall from left to right. Shimmy to the left and then swing and jump to the partial pole sticking out of the left wall. Drop down to the lower pole that spans the wall, and shimmy all the way to the right. Swing and jump. You'll grab a partial pole sticking out of the right wall. Swing and jump to the landing.

Climb up the first ledge and then look above for a series of ledges. Climb up to the top ledge. Jump to the pole behind you. Align yourself with the Dagger Plate then swing and jump to it. Jump up to the upper Dagger Plate (if you didn't end up there). Wall Run left to the next Dagger Plate. Jump to the pole behind you then swing and jump to the next Dagger Plate. Wall Run left, to the next Dagger Plate and then jump to the pole behind you. Swing and jump and you'll grab the ledge of the next landing. Pull yourself up.

Here, you are faced with rubble blocking the door. Go up to the rubble. Push and hold your "Secondary Weapon" button to use your Father's Sword to smash through the rubble. Three Mer-Men are waiting to attack you. Kill them.

Jump the gap in front of you to reach a Save Fountain.

38. The Underground Cave

You are in a large, echoey, cavern.

Go to the other side of the Save Fountain for a Treasure Chest with 10 Sand Credits. Go back and face the Save Fountain. Jump the platform on the right, where there is a door blocked by rubble. Break through the rubble. You are in a hallway. Across the gap from you are two vertical spinning blade poles. When the poles are separated, jump to the landing and then quickly drop down so you're hanging (this is simply a safer and more patient method). Position yourself in the middle of the landing. Watch the left pole move back and forth. When it goes by you, climb up (thus running through the poles), and jump the gap to the next landing.

Vertical Wall Run up the right wall and you'll grab a ledge. Climb up and jump up to the recessed ledge above. Shimmy to the right and climb up into the next hallway. You'll reach some more rubble. Break through. Six Mer-Men will attack. Kill them and then go out onto the balcony. Wall Run the left wall to the Close Wall. Climb up and you'll grab onto a ledge on the right. Pull yourself up onto the platform.

Jump across to the Dagger Plate. Drop down to the pole below you. Swing and jump to the ledge. Jump up to the next higher ledge and then Wall-to-Wall jump to the platform with the Dagger Switch. Activate the switch which will cause two block platforms to begin moving in and out of the wall. You have to Wall Run and jump to the first retractable platform, jump to the second one and then jump to the next landing, where Mer-Men and Dogs await you.

This is all about timing. First, note that the two moving blocks/platforms extend at different speeds. So, at first it looks like they both come out and recess at the same time. However, wait a few seconds and you'll see that when one is retracting the other is extending. Wait for them to get to the point where they are extending and retracting together. Then, as soon as you see the first block/platform ALMOST fully retract, activate a Slo-Mo. Wall Run and jump to the now extending block/platform. Quickly jump to the next moving block/platform and then jump to the landing with the Mer-Men and Dogs. Kill the two Dogs and half-dozen or so Mer-Men.

Locate the Dagger Switch. Activate it. This will cause certain segments of the large column to rotate, thus giving you a ledge to jump to. Go out onto the partial beam and jump to the large column, landing on a ledge. Shimmy around the corner and drop down a ledge. Drop down one more ledge, shimmy around the corner and then jump to the landing with the rubble blocking the door. Break through the rubble and go through.

Fight the two Mer-Men after you break through the rubble and then Vertical Wall Run up to the Dagger Plate. Jump up to the next Dagger Plate above. Work your way from Dagger Plate to Dagger Plate, ending with a Wall Run to the next landing where you'll see a Dog waiting for you. Once on the landing, it's actually two dogs and several Mer-Men who attack. Break through the rubble and go through the doorway.

Immediately hang a right and go underneath the rock platform above. Vertical Wall Run the left side wall (if facing the same wall the doorway is on) and jump so that you land on the platform you just went under. Climb up the stone block to next platform, then Wall Run to the pole. Swing and jump to the next pole and then line yourself up with the Close Wall (put your right hand on the rightside blue marker on the pole). Swing and jump to the Close Wall. Slide down and drop down.

You are on a balcony with a waterfall. Ten Mer-Men will attack. When they're dead, go to the left side of the balcony (looking out over the cave) and jump to the Dagger Plate across from you. Jump the ledge above. Move left, turning the corner, and then jump up the Dagger Plates to the ledge, then pulling yourself up to the platform with the partial stone beam.

Walk out onto the stone beam and jump to the circular column. Jump to the column to the left and then to the next platform where two Dogs are waiting for you. Kill them. Next, ten Mer-Men will attack, coming from the tunnel. After they're dead, go into the tunnel and break through the rubble.

You are now in a narrow room made of brown/tan stone. There is lush vegetation growing on some arched beams above and there is water flowing below you...it's a long way down. Wall Run the right wall to the Dagger Plate. Wall Run to the left and then jump across to the recessed ledge. Shimmy along the ledge until you turn the corner and can go no further. Climb up onto the ledge and then jump up the next two ledges. From the upper ledge, jump to the beam sticking out of the tree-column. Climb to the beam above and jump to the Close Wall.

Now in the Close Wall, climb up and pull yourself up to the platform with the waterfall on the right. Do a Wall-to-Wall jump up the walls to the left of the waterfall and pull yourself up to the next landing.

Here, you'll face some obstacles in the form of four horizontal spinning blade poles. Activate a Slo-Mo and roll under them. Next, you'll face two floor blades, a smasher block, and two more floor blades. Activate a Slo-Mo. When the smasher block is at full extension, run by the first set of blades, climb the smasher block as it is retracting, and then Wall Run to get over the second set of blades.

Go up the stairs. Vertical Wall Run up to the Dagger Plate. Jump up to the next one and then Wall Run to the right to the next staircase. Go up and you'll see a Save Fountain.

39. The Royal Kitchen

From the Save Fountain, activate the Dagger Switch and go through the door. Now in a dining hall, fight the two Red Ninjas and and two Ninjas. Then, fight the ten Super Guards. When the room is clear, go up the stairs to the door. Look to the left and you'll see two Dagger Plates on the wall. Vertical Wall Run up to the Dagger Plate and jump to the higher one. Then, Wall Run left and jump from the wall to the beam parallel to the wall (it's the only beam you can jump to).

Walk forward to the other side of the beam and jump to the wall where there is a Dagger Plate. Wall Run left to the pole. Swing and jump to the balcony. Go to the other side of the balcony and walk out onto the beam. Jump to the right wall, where there is a Dagger Plate. Wall Run to the left and jump from the wall to the beam. Walk to the other side of the beam and jump to the Dagger Plate.

Wall Run left, from the Dagger Plate, and you'll hit a Wall Switch which opens the door below. You'll drop down at the end of your Wall Run. Go through the door.

Head up the stairs to the Save Fountain.
