LB's "Prince of Persia: The Two Thrones" Walkthrough and Strategy Guide

Part 6: Save Fountain 40 - Save Fountain 45 (End)

40. The Secret Passage

From the Save Fountain, head up the stairs. You'll soon get to the end of the hallway. Jump to the pole in front of you. Swing and ump to the next pole, sticking out of the left wall. Swing and jump to the lower of three ledges. The middle ledge is a retracting ledge. Wait for it to stick out, jump up to it, and then jump up to the highest ledge. Jump up to the railing and climb over.

You are on a small landing. Vertical Wall Run up the left wall to the railing and climb over. You are now in a hallway. Move along the hallway to the Save Fountain.

41. The Lower Tower

Head out onto the wooden balcony overlooking the city. You can see five Sand Gates off in the distance. Head left and climb up the wooden platform. Wall Run to the pole, swing and jump to the next wooden platform. Be careful, an Invisible Orc will attack. Kill him and then Vertical Wall Run up to the ledge. Jump up the various ledges until you get to the platform above. Wall Run the right wall to the pole. Shimmy around the pole, turning the corner of the pole, and you'll be facing a Close Wall. Swing and jump to the Close Wall. Slide down and drop down to the wooden platform below.

Walk out onto the beam. Look to the wooden structure and you'll see a Super Guard patrolling. Wait for him to have his back turned and then jump to your right to grab onto the pole. Swing and jump to the wooden structure. You'll grab the ledge. Shimmy left and wait for the patrolling Super Guard to turn his back and walk away from you. Climb up, sneak up behind him, and Speed Kill him. You'll see a Rotation Switch. Rotate it, which will raise the wooden elevator/lift one level.

Go to the front side of the wooden structure (the side that faces out over the city) and Vertical Wall Run up to the ledge. Climb up and jump to the "L" beam. Jump across to the other "L" beam and walk or jump to the wooden platform. Kill the two Invisible Orcs. Walk out onto the partial wooden beam and jump to the left to grab another beam. Jump right to the next higher beam and you'll be on the upper platform.

On the upper platform, kill the Invisible Orc and then rotate the Rotation Switch to raise the elevator/lift. Jump to the "L" beam with the birds on it and pull yourself up. Jump back toward the platform to another, higher beam. Walk out onto the partial beam and, if facing the wall, jump to your right where you'll land on a beam near the lift. Drop down to the platform.

Grab the stone block that is inside the elevator/lift. Push it against the wall, underneath the Dagger Plate. Get on the block and Vertical Wall Run up to the Dagger Plate. Wall Run right, to the next Dagger Plate. Wall Run right again, and near the end of your run, jump and grab onto the circular wooden column hanging down.

Slide down the wooden column. Jump to the Dagger Plate and make your way right to the next Dagger Plate and then to the pole. Swing and jump to the next, higher, pole. Turn around, swing and jump up to the next pole and then swing and jump to the wooden platform. Go to the other side of the wooden platform, jump to the pole, turn around, then swing and jump to the higher wooden platform. Go to the other side and you'll see a doorway on your left. Go through.

You are inside. There is a vertical saw blade and a spiked half-log before some Rebound Shutters. When the saw blade is at its lowest point and the log is flat, start your Wall Run (use a Slo-Mo if you're having trouble) and jump from the Rebound Shutters.

You'll end up facing another obstacle: four floor saw blades and a spiked half-log on each side of the wall. This one is easy. Wall Run on the left wall when the log is flat...you may want to start back just a tad, so you don't clip the top of the saw blade.

Next, you'll face two floor spiked half-logs and saws on the wall. Ignore the saws on the wall. When the first log is flat, roll over it. It may clip you at the end of your roll, but you can take the damage. Do the same for the second log.

Continue forward and jump to the Dagger Plate. Wall Run left, hitting the two Rebound Shutters which will send you to the lower of three Dagger Plates. Work your way up the Dagger Plates. Wall Run left to the hallway with the Save Fountain.

42. The Middle Tower

From the Save Fountain, use the Dagger Switch to open the door. Go through (if you need to, use a Slo-Mo, but you can roll under it). You are back outside, on a stone balcony. Kill the two Ninjas. Vertical Wall Run up to the Dagger Plate. Jump up to the next Dagger Plate and then Wall Run to the right, landing on a wooden platform. Vertical Wall Run up to the Dagger Plate. Jump up to the next one, Wall Run left to another Dagger Plate, and then Wall Run left, thus hitting the Rebound Shutter. The shutter will send you to a circular wooden column (it's hanging). Rotate and jump to the wooden structure, which looks an awful lot like the last wooden structure you encountered on the lower tower.

Go to the Rotation Switch and rotate it. This will raise the elevator/lift one level. Get up to the second level using the two "L" beams, one above the other, off the corner of the platform. There is a Rotation Switch here, too. Before you rotate it, go to the lift with the block (the one you just moved) and move the stone block to the other lift, on the other side of the platform. Then, rotate the Rotation Switch to raise the block up to the top level, where there are three Super Guards.

Note: Move toward the block slowly and deliberately. Same goes for moving the block from one lift to the other. The Super Guards above may hear you if you're running around wildly, thus ruining any chance at a Speed Kill. They may also spot you if you go to the edge of the platform. If you hear them roar, they are tipped off. Either rewind time or restart from the Save Fountain (if you care about the Speed Kills).

Get to the upper level by hopping over the railing where you see a series of poles, one above the other. Jump to the upper pole. Watch the three Super Guards. One may be stuck in a corner near the lift or all of them will be patrolling normally. Swing and jump to the railing. Hop over and sneak up behind the nearest one and Speed Kill him. This will most likely alert the other two Super Guards. Kill them normally. (Note, there may also be two Invisible Orcs here...one time they were and another time they weren't.)

When the three Super Guards are dead, drag the block from the lift it is on to the lift on the other side (it's a tight fit, but it does fit, so wiggle it left/right to get it in there). Once it's in there, the lift will lower, thus raising another lift that you'll soon need to jump to.

Facing where the lift used to be, turn left and Vertical Wall Run up to the ledge. Walk out onto the small wooden platform. Wall Run along the wall and jump from the wall to the empty lift. Climb into the lift and then hop over the railing so that you can jump to the beam extending from the next wooden platform.

Get up onto the platform and face the wall. There is a nice recessed part of it where you can do a Wall-to-Wall jump. You'll end up on ledge from which you can jump to the beam across from you. This is an "L" beam. Walk to the end of the beam and jump to the small wooden platform...some birds will scatter.

Vertical Wall Run up to the Dagger Plate, make your way to the two poles to your left and then to the wooden platform. At this point, there is stone platform that you can jump to, but first, it's time to get your final Life Upgrade.

Life Upgrade 6

Look down, over the edge of this wooden platform. You'll see a wooden beam below you. Drop down to the beam and enter the hallway. Make your way to the fountain and drink from it. Time for an obstacle course. To get by the spinning blade and floor spiked half-log, do a Wall Run on the right wall...start it a bit early to be sure to clear the blade. When you get directly above the spiked log, release your Wall Run button. Your momentum will cause you to land safely on the other side of the log.

Next, you have to Wall Run the left wall, past the large wall blade and then jump while the spiked half-log on the left wall is flat. To time this correctly, wait for the half-logs to lie flat. Then, watch the wall blade. As soon as you can Wall Run past the wall blade, do so. When you get to the flat wall log on the left, jump, barely avoiding the rotating half-log. You'll grab the ledge of the stone platform. Quickly pull yourself up, barely avoiding the right half-log. If you're having trouble, use a Slo-Mo.

Next, you have to Wall Run the left wall past two large wall blades, then jump from the wall to the beam that is parallel to the wall. This one isn't too hard. As soon as the first wall blade is completely even with the wall (the entire blade is out), start your Wall Run. The second one will be timed so it won't hit you. Jump to the beam. Walk to the end of it and jump to the wall beam. Drop down to the lower wall beam and jump to the next hallway.

Your final obstacle is a spiked half-log, a spinning blade, and another spiked half-log. This is easy. Wait for the first log to lay flat and do a Wall Run. You'll clear the blade and the second log. Walk into the light for the Life Upgrade.

Backtrack back out to the outdoor beam. If facing out over the city, jump right to the pully beam and jump up to the beam above. From here you can jump back to the wooden platform and resume your path.

End Life Upgrade 6

Jump to the stone platform and head inside.

Here you'll face another obstacle course. There are various jars around. Break them to fill up as many Sand Tanks as possible. Use a Slo-Mo and then Wall Run the left wall when the spiked half-logs are flat (or, if you don't want to use a Slo-Mo, wait for the logs to be spike-side out, count "1" in your head, and then start your run). Jump from the Rebound Shutter to the upper Dagger Plate (or, if you landed at the lower Dagger Plate, just jump up). Wall Run left past the saw blade when it touches the top of its path (you don't need a Slo-Mo here, but it helps) and then use the two Rebound Shutters which will put you on a Dagger Plate with a double saw blade to your left. When the further (second) blade hits the top of its path, start your wall run to get by both of them.

Temporarily safe on this corner platform, break the jars for some more Sand. You will have to Wall Run past three wall saws. When the middle saw reaches the bottom of its path, start your Wall Run (a Slo-Mo helps, but isn't necessary). Then, use the three Rebound Shutters which will place you at a Dagger Plate across from the next hallway. Jump to the hallway from the Dagger Plate.

Break the jars for more Sand. Next, you'll face a spinning blade and a floor spiked half-log. You can easily Wall Run past these two obstacles, but you'll risk falling into the chasm/hole if you don't time it correctly. To do this, start your wall run back from the spinning blade a bit (basically in the corner), so that you clear it on your Wall Run, then, when you are directly above the half-log, let go of your Wall Run button. Your momentum will carry you just far enough so that you grab onto the ledge on the other side of the log. Jump from the ledge to the Dagger Plate and work your way up the Dagger Plates.

From the top Dagger Plate, jump to the ledge of the landing/hallway above, but don't climb up yet. There are two patrolling Super Guards in the next area. When you see a Super Guard pass from left to right across the doorway climb up, sneak behind him and Speed Kill him. Then, turn around, locate the other Super Guard on the other end of this balcony. He should be walking away from you. Sneak up behind him and do a Speed Kill. If either are alerted, just kill them normally.

Go to where the railing is missing and Wall Run to the pole. Swing and jump to the next pole and then to the ledge on the wall. Shimmy left to the landing and go through the archway.

You are back outside. Wall Run to the next platform, under an opening in the wall. Jump up to the opening, drop down so you're hanging from the other side, shimmy left, and climb up to the wooden platform with the Ninja. Kill the Ninja. Move along the wooden platform and jump to the central structure.

There is a stone block here. Push it into the lift. Hop over the railing to the left of the lift and jump to the platform on the wall. Jump to the next platform, a corner platform, with the Ninja and two Super Guards. Kill them and, from the end of the platform, jump toward the central structure. You'll grab onto a hard-to-see pole. Swing and jump to the central structure, now on the second level of it. Rotate the Rotation Switch to raise the lift (and block) to the third level.

Walk out onto the "L" beam. Jump to the wooden platform on the wall. Vertical Wall Run up to the railing, climb over to the balcony and kill the two Ninjas. Follow the balcony to the extended, wooden part of it. Look up to see a beam above. Jump up to it and walk out the partial beam extending toward the central structure.

Jump to the central structure, now on the third level, and kill the two Super Guards. Move the stone block from one lift to the other, smaller lift. It will lower, causing another lift to rise. Go out onto the lift and hang over the back railing of it. Jump to the lift you just raised.

Now on the upper lift, hop over the railing that will allow you to jump to the large corner balcony with the two Ninjas. Kill them. Find the missing railing and jump to the beam sticking out from the wall. Jump up to the window ledge and then to the upper, recessed ledge (painted with red stripes). Shimmy left and line yourself up with the circular wooden column. Jump to it.

Climb up the wooden column and jump to the wooden platform, the one that is underneath a Dagger Plate. Vertical Wall Run up to the Dagger Plate and then Wall Run left to the Rebound Shutter. You'll end up on a Dagger Plate on an ornamental cage containing four Super Guards. Wall Run to the left to another Dagger Plate and drop down to the lower Dagger Plate. Drop down, enter the cage and fight the four Super Guards. Remember to do lots of blocking. Get in attacks when you can. Be patient.

When they're dead, go out the other door of the cage, look at the right wall and look up. You'll see a Dagger Plate. Vertical Wall Run up to it and then use the next sequence of Dagger Plates to the left to get onto the beam sticking out from the wall. Walk out onto the beam and jump forward to an "L" beam. Walk along the beam so that you can drop down onto the wooden platform...some birds will scatter. Walk out onto the beam sticking out from the platform and look down to find a lower, "L" beam. Drop down to it and then jump across to the "L" beam on the other side. Drop down to the wooden platform.

Jump across to the wooden platform on the wall and Vertical Wall Run up to the Dagger Plate. Make your way up to the highest Dagger Plate (there are three) and Wall Run left to the Rebound Shutter which will send you to a circular wooden beam. Climb up. Rotate so that you can jump to the small wall ledge near a door. Move right on the ledge to the stone/tile platform.

Go through the door, and finally, you'll see a Save Fountain.

43. The Upper Tower

From the Save Fountain, Wall Run the right wall to the Dagger Plate and then to the ledge. Move around the ledge, turning the corner and then Wall-to-Wall jump up to the higher ledge. Move along this ledge, turning the corner, then jump to the Dagger Plate. Jump up to the next Dagger Plate and then up to the hallway.

Go through the hallway to the gap. Walk out onto the beam. Jump to the pole, swing and jump to the next pole and then climb on top of the pole. Move right, so you're against the wall. Jump to the ledge in front of you (you'll be to the right of the part of the ledge that is retracting). When the ledge extends, move left across the retracting part of the ledge, turn the corner and jump up to the retracting ledge above, then to the next higher ledge and make your way to the railing of the next hallway/landing. Hop over the railing.

You are now in a room with four circular columns and a star pattern on the floor. Vertical Wall Run up the to the right side of the retracting ledge. Jump to the pole behind you. Swing and jump to the next pole and then to the railing. Climb over.

Head up the stairs. At the top you'll see two Save Fountains, one on either side of the next set of stairs. It doesn't matter which one you use.

44. The Terrace

From either Save Fountain, head up the stairs, hang a right and head up the next set of stairs. There is an altar in front of you. Take the right path to a Treasure Chest for 10 Sand Credits, and then take the left path to a Wall Switch. Activate the switch. This will one of two doors near the Gazebo. Hop over the left railing, drop down, and run through the open door.

Follow the hallway until you see the railing on the left. Hop over the railing and jump to the railing across from you. Follow this hall and you'll get to the outline of a door. Smash through the door. Head down the stairs and enter the circular room, an elevator/lift. The floor will rise. At the top, you'll meet Vizier.

Boss Fight: Vizier (Zervan)

Phase 1

To get the battle going, wait for Vizier to rear back and begin his wing attack (where he pinches you). When you see him rear back, roll toward him and do a 1-2-3 combo with your Dagger (press the button three times). If you connect with him, on the third hit, Vizier's shield will come down to block the attack. Press your "Block" button, because he'll counterattack. You will block this attack. Then, with your Secondary Weapon button (Father's Sword), immediately do a 1-2-3 combo. Again, the third hit of the combo will be blocked by his shield. Hold down your "Block" button to block his counter attack and repeat this process.

After a few successful attacks, Vizier will move up into the air and throw a piece of rubble at you. Roll out of the way of it right as it gets to you.

Resume the attack described above until Vizier floats up and throws two pieces of rubble at you. Resume the same attacks and after a bit, Vizier will rise up and throw three pieces of rubble at you.

Resume the same attack scheme and after a few more successful attacks, you'll get a cutscene of Vizier breaking the arena walls. At this point, about 1/3 of his health is gone.

Phase 2

For this phase, you have to Vertical Wall Run up the wall (double column) behind where Vizier is floating. This will trigger a Speed Kill. Do a successful three stabs and you'll cut off his left wing. Repeat for his right wing. Repeat to enter the next phase.

There are now randomly moving and rotating pieces of rubble in the arena. Avoid running into them as they do some major damage. Vizier will attack by throwing energy balls at you. They are easy to avoid and you'll be doing the next part quickly enough that you need not worry about them.

Now, for the details. When phase 2 starts, avoid the rubble and run to where Vizier is floating. He'll be in front of a double column. Vertical Wall Run up the double column. About 1/2 way up your Vertical Wall Run, you'll get a Speed Kill indicator (if you got to him too early, jump restart your Vertical Wall Run to trigger the Speed Kill). Activate the Speed Kill. The first stab is quick, so be ready. You will then end up on his head for the second stab. Next, you will jump up into the air for the third stab which will cut off his wing. You'll land back on the arena floor.

The moving rubble has gained speed. I recommend you activate a Slo-Mo. Run to where Vizier is floating and repeat the Vertical Wall Run, Speed Kill attack. The visuals of this attack are slightly different, but the timing of the three stabs is similar to the first Speed Kill attack. Done successfully, you'll have chopped off his right wing. You'll land back on the arena floor.

The moving rubble has gained even more speed. Activate a Slo-Mo to avoid it and, once again, do a Vertical Wall Run, Speed Kill. This one also requires three stabs, the 2nd stab doesn't really stab him, it just basically makes you swing up, so don't get confused thinking that you missed the timing on it.

When done successfully, you'll get a cutscene of Vizier moving all of the pieces of rubble into a nasty jumping course. Vizier will be high up above the arena. You have to get up to him.

At this point his health is 2/3 gone.

Phase 3

While you're jumping, Vizier will be firing energy balls at you. If you move quickly, he'll rarely hit you. If you stay stationary on any one piece of rubble for too long, his attack will probably hit you, sometimes causing you to fall. The key is to move quickly and smoothly (not long pauses). Also, if you are firmly on a piece of rubble, Vizier's attack will most likely not knock you off. The attacks don't do a ton of damage, so it's okay to be hit with a few attacks when figuring out where to go next. Once you do this a number of times, you'll learn the course and it will be much easier.

1. Start off by locating the lowest piece of rubble, near a double column. Vertical Wall Run up the double column and jump to the first piece of rubble.
2. Jump to the next piece of rubble in front of and above you a tad.
3. Turn left and jump to the rubble pole. Swing and jump to the platform above the double column.
4. Wall Run the left wall and at the end of your Wall Run, jump and you'll grab hold of a thin piece of rubble. Pull yourself up.
5. Depending on which way you're facing, jump away from the direction of the wall (probably jumping to your left), toward the next piece of rubble.
6. From this piece, you can see Farah along the wall. Jump in her direction to the next piece of rubble.
7. Put Farah on your left and jump to the next piece of rubble, a good distance away and slightly lower.
8. Locate the platform above a double column, it is lower than you. Jump to it.
9. Wall Run and jump to the rubble pole. Swing and jump to the thin piece of rubble.

10. Walk along the thin piece of rubble to see a platform extending from the wall...it has decorative grating on it. Jump to it.
11. From this decorative platform, Wall Run the left wall and at the end of the run, jump, landing on the next rubble.
12. Jump forward to the next higher piece of rubble, a thin piece.
13. Jump the pole. Swing and jump to the next piece of rubble.
14. Turn right and jump to the next higher piece of rubble.
15. Jump to the thin piece of rubble, basically at the same height you are at.
16. Jump from the thin piece to the next piece of rubble.
17. Jump to the pole and then swing and jump to the Vertical Wall Run platform (the platform with a wall on the right side of it).
18. Vertical Wall Run up the platform wall and jump. You'll grab onto a thin piece of rubble. Pull yourself up.
19. Jump to the next piece of thin rubble.
20. You are now face to face with Vizier. Walk toward him along the rubble and then jump toward him. After a cutscene where the camera pans around him, you're Dagger will blow blue for one final Speed Kill. Hit your Dagger Button when the Dagger glows blue to finish him off.

45. The Mental Realm

Trippy Orange Energy Area, aka, the Prince's Dream State

The Dark Prince will show up. He doesn't have a life meter and will not attack you. Slash him until the floor opens and you fall into the trippy next segment.

In this orange energy area, if you fall or miss a jump, you'll automatically be placed back to where you began the missed jump. In other words, don't be afraid to fall, because it doesn't set you back. Jump across the first two gaps via the platforms. Wall Run the left side energy wall. You'll see the Dark Prince. Slash his illusion.

Jump the next two platforms heading toward the next Dark Prince Illusion. When you land on the platform with the Dark Prince (and the illusion of a structure with four columns), slash the Dark Prince.

Walk out onto the energy beam on the right side of this platform. Jump across to the next beam. Drop down to the beam below and move onto the platform. Jump across toward the next Dark Prince.

You'll now be in a bluish cave, moving in Slow Motion. Jump from the pillar you are on toward the suspension bridge. You'll be warped back to the orange energy area.

Slash the Dark Prince and wait for the platform you are on to stop rotating. Jump to the next platform. Walk along the long beam to the next platform and then jump to the Dark Prince. Slash him. Turn right and walk out onto the beam. Jump across to the next beam, then the next, one and then the next one.

You'll get a quick scene of you falling toward your ship/boat then you'll be back in orange energy land. Jump to the next platform and then the next one, which is a long way down. You'll land and roll. Jump to the Dark Prince and slash him.

Jump to the next, far lower platform and you'll be in a circular stone area, again in Slow Motion. Jump forward and you'll land on a platform, back in trippy orange energy area. Head up the stairs and jump to the Dark Prince. This will put you on a staircase down to him. Slash him.

Jump to the next platform and then to the four sided rotating platform. When you land on the rectangle, it will shift from going longways to shortways, thus not allowing you to continue. Jump back to the platform you came from and then back to this four sided platform. The rectangle platform should be longways again. Jump to the Dark Prince. Slash him.

Go left and jump to the next platform. Wait for it to move so that you can jump to the next platform. Then, do a Wall Run to the Dark Prince. Slash him.

Walk out onto the beam and you'll see a rotating beam ahead. It will come to a stop. Jump to it. While it's rotating, walk to the other end. When it's lined up again, jump to the next beam and then toward the Dark Prince.

You'll be in Farah's bedroom where you fought Vizier in the first Prince of Persia. Run towards Farah and you'll be back in orange land.

Farah will be in front of you and she warns you to leave this place. She tells you to follow her. The Dark Prince is behind you. You can slash him for fun to see him multiply. However, you want to follow Farah up the stairs to the white light.

You'll wake up and get a pretty cutscene of you and Farah. The Prince's narrative will wrap around to the very first game and give you goosebumps.

Congrats! You are now the Prince of Persia, you have Farah, and you have exorcised your demons.

You have unlocked the Telephone of Sorrow Special Weapon. The code is different for different systems, so be sure to write it down.
