Scan retina to access lock (NSA)



Begin the level by following Emile. He will take you to...uh oh. Now it's decision making time. If you kill Lambert, well, you're an awful human being. It's Lambert, and Sam would never kill Lambert. Would Crocket kill Tubbs? Would Riggs kill Murtaugh? Would Keifer kill Chloe? No. So, instead, aim your gun at Jamie and shoot him in the chest. (Killing Lambert, by the way, is the third anti-NSA deed. If you kill him, and commit one of the others, you won't get the bonus mission. If you do opt to kill him, the objectives will remain the same, but they will be a lot easier to complete, as JBA members won't try to kill you on sight. So, as usual, we're going with the harder option). Checkpoint.

Immediately move over to Jamie and take the option to "Scan Retina". This completes the objective and provides you with 1/4 retinas scanned.

Defuse bomb (NSA)



Open up the door and look for patrolling JBA members. Exit right, turn the corner, then move to the end of the hall. Go down the stairs and through the hanging plastic, where you will find Enrica's body (if you didn't blow up the cruise ship, that is). Scan her retina for 2/4 retinas scanned, then climb the ladder to the garage.

Cross over to the firing range and collect your Goggles and SC-20K. When this is done, locate Dayton, who is in the server/data room downstairs. Be careful as you work your way there, as there are many patrolling guards, and, again, they will shoot you as soon as they spot you. This means you can't let them spot you. Stay in the shadows and wait for them to pass or turn away before crossing their paths (patience is key).

Hack the keypad, sneak through the office, evade the camera above the door, and enter the server room. Dayton will be up on the raised level, to your right. Quietly sneak across the room, move up the steps, then open the trap to your left. Slowly sneak to the next trap and pop out behind Dayton. Grab him and knock him out to collect 3/4 retinas scanned. Exit the area.

Head to the voice lock below (next to the mine assembly machine) and make your way up to the JBA lounge area. Cross through and access the fingerprint lock door. Checkpoint.

If you let the cruise ship blow up, and Enrica is still alive, you will find her here. She will provide you with your Goggles and SC-20K, if you didn't already grab them (wow, she really isn't a bad terrorist girlfriend). To get her retina scan, you will have to knock her out (she won't care, she's on your side now).

Either way, move through the retina scan door to the right, then "Use Elevator".

Take a few steps forward and locate the light switch to your right. Hit it to turn off the hallway lights. Next, jump up and grab the above pipe. Shimmy down the length of it, then wait. Even if the first guard has turned the lights back on in the hall, the end of the pipe is protected with shadow. So, remain in position until it's clear to drop, then hit the light switch in the next hall. Move right, then take a quick left (where, most likely, you'll spot a few more enemies). Jump over the railing to the right, then hack the locked door.

Inside, hack the computer for the Lab Code (2112), then search the cabinet for 5/5 Get professional background info (the other four were done in previous missions). Next, stand near the door and make sure no one is coming (if they are, slip past them and out the door). Exit out, move left, and climb over the railing again. Quickly face right, and note the door way on the other side of the pillar. Move through the open glass door, then through the sliding door.

Continue down the red lit hallway, then into the tunnel beyond it. At the end of the tunnel you will get a Checkpoint. You'll also get a cutscene.

Move down the stairs and hang a right. Open the door, but don't go in. Instead, step back and hope that the guard coming your way saw the door open up. He will leave the room via the open door to check the area. When he does, slip past him and enter the room. Move past the lockers and down the stairs to your left.

Locate the door to the left and enter the Lab Code (2112). Enter. The men should see movement, and the one on the left will come your way. Wait a few seconds, then move along the right wall, toward the ladder. If your timing is right, and if you're absolutely quiet, you can slip behind the guard standing in front of the ladder and climb it. Do so.

Continue up the next ladder and you'll spot Emile with his back to you. Unfortunately, he's on the other side of a large pane of glass, and there are four guards between you and him. So, it's time to be really sneaky. It's also time to stealthily take some guards down.

Turn around and step out onto the catwalk. Jump over the railing. Look for the guard in this area. If he's not already coming your way, whistle, then use the Ultrasonic Emitter to get him to turn his back. Sneak up behind him and knock him out. Drag his body into the shadows.

With your back to the railing, move left. Be careful of the light that comes off the stairs as you pass them. Next stand with your back against the wall. There are three more guards in the area. One is on top of one of the two silos. The other two are on the catwalk, to the right. You must drag them each out. To do this, pull out your Ultrasonic Emitter and aim at the top of the ladder. This should get some movement. Once you see a guard coming near, continue to shoot the Emitter in the direction you want the guard to go. Think of it as leading the guards.

Chances are you attracted two guards. Go ahead and lead them down the stairs, then into the dark shadows across from you. When they're on the other side of the room, move along the left wall (and behind the covered crates) to reach them. Wait until they head back to the stairs, then sneak up behind the guard in the back and grab him. Pull him away from the first guard, then knock him out. If you move fast enough, you can sneak up on the first guard before he returns up the stairs. Take him down, too.

Continue to draw guards down and over with your Ultrasonic Emitter, and knocking them out when they have their backs to you. If, by chance, you spot a guard in a red suit, this is not one of the four guards you need to take down. This is one of the guards from below who probably heard your excessive whistling. Take him out, too.

If you've maintained control of your Ultrasonic Emitter, then Emile should be where you left him. If he's searching for you, then make sure there are no guards in the area, sneak up behind him and take him down. You can't let him spot you, and you shouldn't try to shoot him, as those aforementioned guards in red will come after you with guns blazing. If Emile is where you left him, then move up those stairs, across the catwalk, and slowly into the room with Emile. Don't worry if he looks like he can see you. Just move slow and keep left, and you should be able to get behind him. Grab him once you reach him and knock him out. Scan his retina for 5/5 retinas scanned.

Next, crack the "safe" (the box Emile was guarding), then hack the controls. SAVE. You're going to need about 45 seconds to complete the bomb defusal here.

This is very similar to mine assembly, in that you control the speed of the claw with the Left-trigger, and you must watch the diagram on the right to confirm acceptable placement. So, slowly lower the claw so it reaches the core when the green circle is lit up. The claw will automatically grab the core. From here, slowly release the Left-trigger to slowly raise the core. Again, watch the diagram on the right, as, if you hit an edge while extracting the core, you'll have to start all over again (this is why I suggest saving). Keep in mind, you can't go too slow while extracting, or the core will overheat and the bomb will blow.

Once you've successfully extracted the core, the game will be complete. Nice work. Not only are you a Splinter Cell, but, if you followed this 100% Stealth guide, you are among the elite. Be proud!
