Spin into the pink Floaty Fluff plants in front of you. This will release them. Jump to catch one and you'll find yourself floating ahead. If you want to float higher, then Spin. However, you can only do this three times. To release yourself from the Fluff, hit "A".

Float up to the next island, fight the enemies, release the Floaty Fluffs, then sail to the next island. Check its underside for extra goodies, then make your way to the next island.

Release the vine here and climb it to the next area, then release the vine on the underside and climb it. Continue on this viney path until you get to a Purple Piranha Plant. Take it out, then use the resulting Launch Star to reach the fountain. Speak to the Bunny here, then chase, Spin, and catch him for the Power Star.

The Dirty Tricks of Major Burrows

Use the Floaty Fluff to float to the next island, then set sail for the next one, which is farther away. To reach it, you'll have to Spin with precision. Luckily, your Wii-mote will tell you exactly when this is, as it will vibrate. When you feel the vibration, Spin. Repeat until you reach the circular island. Once there, locate the Mole, Slam to toss him, and Spin to get rid of him. Use the resulting Sling Star to reach the next island. Deal with the three Moles here to reveal the Launch Star. Use it to reach the Apple.

Slam the tree stump to reveal a worm bridge. Repeat on the next apple, then the next to reach the Launch Star. Use it, then the next one, to reach Major Burrows.

To take out Burrows, follow very closely behind him. When he shows his body, Slam to flip him out, then Spin him in his dizzied state. He will get tougher to hit, but all you must do is repeat this process two more times. On the third try, you must Slam him twice to completely flip him, then quickly Spin to get rid of him. Grab your Power Star reward.

Gusty Garden's Gravity Scramble

Use a Floaty Fluff to reach the second island. Use the Wii-mote vibrations to help you know when to Spin so you actually make it to the island. Use the vines on the next two islands to continue your trek forward, and, eventually, you'll end up on a caterpillar shaped isle. Carefully move across it, avoiding boulders and spike plants as you go. Use the Launch Star at the end to reach the obstacle course.

Begin by moving to the underside of the saucer to collect your first Star Chip. Climb the pole, then Jump Spin to reach the next saucer. Grab the Chip, move to the bottom, climb the pole down, then jump to reach the second Chip. You'll end up back on the first saucer. Jump back to the second, then climb the upward pole and Spin Jump to the third saucer. Again, there are two Star Chips here, one along the side, one on the bottom. Grab both, then jump through the resulting Launch Star.

Make your way along the block course until you reach the green arrow. Spin it to turn the blocks across the way from "?" to "!", thus making you fall to them. Continue forward to the next green arrow. Hit it, fall to the next "!"s. Avoid the shocking bugs (spin to release them) and make your way across the "!"s, avoiding the smaller blocks as you cross. Flip the green arrow at the end.

Work your way down the "!" blocks to the cylinder. Find the arrow here and flip it. Run around the next cylinder until you spot the "!" on the blocks. Cross on the "!" side, avoiding bombs as you go. Follow the path to the right, the free the Power Star and collect it.

Freezeflame Galaxy

The Frozen Peak of Baron Brr

Ooo...it's a little slippery! To control the slip, Spin and you'll automatically don a pair of ice skates. Skate over to the Penguin and speak to him. Chase after him and Spin to catch him to create a Launch Star. Use it to reach the ice tower.

Take out the Goombas and make your way along the platforms to the right until you reach the "?" Coin. Grab it then make your way to the resulting blue flower. Collect it to turn into Ice Mario. As Ice Mario, you can walk on water. Make your way across the water to the square platforms in the corner. Climb them, then jump to the faucets. Ice platforms will form. Cross and continue to climb, following arrows and avoiding obstacles as you go.

At the moving blocks, get between them, then jump on the first one, then the second to reach the above cliff. Continue along the platforms to the next Ice Flower. Cross the water, climb the cliffs, cross the blocks, and use the Sling Star to reach the valves. If you lose your ice power, you won't make it. Use the ice platforms to reach the above cliff, where you will meet Baron Brr.

To defeat Baron Brr, take the left path to the crystals beneath his platform. Shatter them to reveal an Ice Flower. Use it to reach the front side of his platform. Wall jump up it. Avoid Brr's Slam (and the radiating circles), and Spin into him. Brr will shrink. Spin him a second time and he'll return to normal. Repeat two more times. If you fall off the platform, return to the Ice Flower to make your way back. Also, if you're low on health, there are a few coins beneath the platform, on the right side.

Upon defeating Brr the Power Star will be revealed. Grab it.

Freezeflame's Blistery Core

Collect the five Star Chips then use the Pull Stars to reach the Launch Star. You'll arrive in the fiery core.

Make your way to the gated path and the crates. Clear the crates and make your way to the pole. Climb it, then jump from platform to platform. Work your way down to the "?" Coin, grab it, then collect the resulting Fire Flower. For this you will turn into Fire Mario. As Fire Mario, you can shoot fireballs by shaking your Wii-mote. Return to the gate and light the urn by shooting a fireball at it. This will lift the gate. Move along the path you moved down previously and light the two urns next to the arrows. This will create a staircase for you. Move up it and jump to reach the above platform.

Move forward to the next Fire Flower. Collect it, move past the Spike Balls (fry them with fire, if you wish), and light the two urns. The one on the left can be tricky. I hit mine from the brown platform. I jumped, aimed my fireball forward and right, and it hit the second. Play with it until you get it, and, note, fireballs are supposed to bounce in lava. Climb the resulting tower.

Move along the path ahead of you, using bridges and platforms as they come. At the fork, head right and grab the Fire Flower. Return left and ride the platform across the lava, bouncing fireballs at the urns. When both are lit the gate will fall and a bridge will be extended. Move across the bridge to the Power Star.

Hot and Cold Collide

Skate around the circle to the far side. Shatter the crystals, thus allowing you to flip to the opposite side. Skate around the circle again, and shatter the crystals at the end. Ride the Launch Star to the next area.

Take note of the rising and lowering water. Stay in shallow area or on platforms so, when it rising, you won't be left floating in cold water. Make your way to the valve to the left of the door. Spin it to open the door, and move on through.

Here you will have rising and lowering lava. Carefully make your way left and make your way down to the next valve. Spin it to lower the gate. Move through it, collect the Fire Flower, the return to the ice side. Once there, run to the urns and light them to create a Launch Star. Jump on in and set sail for the ice and fire platforms.

Grab the Ice Flower and quickly make your way across the fire platforms to the ice on the far side. Once there, jump to reach the platform above. Move forward to the Ice Flower, and use it to cross the next set of fire platforms. Grab the Ice Flower at the end, jump to catch the above fire platform, and make your way to the Power Star at the end of the path.

Frosty Cosmic Mario Race

Wait for the Cosmic Comet to arrive for your chance to earn this Power Star.

Since it's a Cosmic Comet it's a race, but, don't worry, as it's one of the easiest races you'll face. First, you can catch a nice lead at the beginning by using a more direct path across the platforms than your alter ego tries. Outside of that, watch Cosmic Mario and note when he opts to put on skates (Spin to activate), which is where you really don't have to worry about jumping platforms any longer. Use skates at this point to the end, and you should have no trouble winning the race.

Honeyclimb Galaxy

Scaling the Sticky Wall

There's nothing too tricky about this level. Just use Bee Mario to climb the honeycombs (he flies by holding "A"). Reach the first Launch Star, then avoid the falling rocks to reach the second Launch Star. Avoid the Mandibugs to reach the Power Star.

Dusty Dune Galaxy

Soaring on the Desert Winds

Deal with the Dry Bones's as you wish and make your way to the first sand storm. Allow yourself to be swept up into one, then, when you're at your peak, flick your wrist. You'll turn into a helicopter of sorts. Use your control stick to guide you to the next small island. From here, hop onto the horseshoe island and make your way to the farthest side. Use a storm to launch yourself in the air, aiming for the green pipe along the way. If you can't make it, fall into one of the storms below and allow it to relaunch you. Move down the pipe.

Slam to break the bricks below, then make your way along the path ahead. Walk along the large wheels at, what appears to be, a dead end. Make your way down the slide, Spin at the boulder before it damages you, then hop into the Sling Star at the bottom. Use the Launch Star to reach the next area.

Avoid the chickens and ride the storms up to path. Use your wall jumps to climb the small blocks, then move around the corner and ride the next set of storms up. Collect the "?" Coin, then hop in either Sling Star. Use the storm to reach the next "?" Coin. From here, wall jump behind the glass to the top, slide down the right side (to slide, jump to one side as though you are going to wall jump, but don't jump, just slide). Slide down the left wall of the right side so you can jump to the right edge when it appears. Do so.

Wall jump up the next side and ride the platform to the top. Cross the ledge, then carefully cross the sand to the Power Star.

Blasting Through the Sand

Hop into the large circle and eliminate all of the Pokey Heads by Spinning into them. Next, eliminate the Pokey (Spin off each of its segments) for a Launch Star. Cross to the boulders circling the Sling Star. Avoid or destroy the boulders, hop into the Sling Star, then the next one, to arrive on the next area.

Ride the sand down and use the Sling Star to reach the next isle. The arrows point out the direction of the sand. Follow it to grab the five Star Chips. One is in a crystal, the other is in a chest. Use the Koopa Shell found near Dry Bones to open it. Use the resulting Pull Stars to make it to the next area.

The path indicated by the green arrow leads you to a green pipe with three 1-Ups inside. Go that route if you wish, but return and follow the orange arrow to the next Launch Star.

Move through the doughnut then along the platforms. Use the mini-storms for help, if you choose. Move through the doughnut at the end, and cross the next set of platforms to the next doughnut. Move through it. Climb the platform here to the blue switch at the top. Slam it, then backtrack through the doughnut. Note the new platform tower on this side. Make your way to it and quickly climb to the top for the Power Star.

Slam the switch to raise yourself up. The safest spot here is the switch. Grab for goodies as you wish, but don't allow yourself to be smooshed by an above block. At the top you'll reach a Launch Star. Use it to get to the next area.

Grab the first Star Chip, then Slam the blue switch. Once the tower ceases growing, collect the three Star Chips alongside it (one in a low alcove by the Dry Bones', one along the wall jump canal, one on a small ledge just below the top). That makes four. The fifth is a bit harder to obtain, but, doable. Stand in the middle of the arena, with the blue switch in front of you and the red switch behind you. Head right, then look up at the tower. High up you'll spot a treasure chest. Grab a shell, lower the tower, return to the right side, and toss it at the chest as it passes before you. Inside is the Chip. Collect it. (Note, this may be easier to do on a rising tower). Climb the tower and jump into the Launch Star.

Avoid the obstacles and Spin one of the nuts into the spiked item at the top of the small planet. Doing so will result in a Launch Star. Take it to a small planet with a Pokey. Use the Sling Star on the bottom side to reach the planet below, then from that planet, Spin a nut at the first planet. Once you have it placed, return to the first planet and Spin the nut into the Pokey. Follow up with a Spin. The Pokey will leave behind a Launch Star. Use it.

You'll land atop the Power Star, but there will be glass between you and it. So, fall to the ground, locate the crate, and shatter it. Move through the pipe, shatter the wood panel, then enter the tower. Soon it will sink. You must work your way up around very fast you don't become a victim of the tower. Grab the Power Star at the top.

The Bigmouth Galaxy

This galaxy will appear after you feed the Hungry Luma outside the Bedroom Dome 800 Stars.

Bigmouth's Gold Bait

The gold chest will only open when you have a Gold Shell, which means it's time to do some diving. Grab the green shell and head into the water. Smash the shell through the bricks, then swim to the bottom of the next area. On the sea floor are five Star Chips. Collect them all to create a Sling Star. Use it to reach the water above, where you will find the Gold Shell. Grab it and ride it back down to the water below, then backtrack through the brick wall and exit (if you lose the Shell at any point, return to the Sling Star to collect it again).

Toss the Gold Shell at the chest to open it and collect the Power Star.

Bowser's Dark Matter Plant

Darkness on the Horizon

Make your way up the moving platforms, to the sliding platforms, to the right. Hop into the red area, then ride the "L" to the green. Remain on the "L" until another platform meets up with you. Cross to it, then ride it into the blue. Climb out, then climb up the pole.

Avoid the Dark Matter (the empty spots) and move across the platforms (the middle one is safest). Continue your route up and around until you get to the next red space. Move from it to green and use the blue then pink platforms to reach the blue area. Stay on the left side of the cross upon entering the green, or you'll fall into the poison water below. Once there, move to the bottom to safely ride it to pink. Move to the right upon entering the grey area, then hop to the "L". Ride the "L" to the blue (stand in the intersection), then ride the red platform up to the green and white checkered floor.

Free the Luma and climb the stairs. Grab the Health Shroom, free the next Luma, and climb the next set of stairs. Enter the arena at the top to face Bowser.

This is the same battle you had with Bowser before, but things move a bit faster and the big guy has a few new attacks (namely, the Spin Attack, which you can only avoid). You know how to take him out. Just do it again for your Grand Star.

Engine Room Dome

Reach this dome by following the mint green line to the right of the entrance.

Gold Leaf Galaxy

Star Bunnies on the Hunt

Speak to the Bunny in front of you to discover your task: Locate the five blue Star Chips.

First the first Star Chip by climbing the path and approaching the bunny to the left. Move past him and wall climb the cliff behind. At the top will be the Chip.

Return to the ground and hop on the swing. Swing up to the Sling Star and let it toss you to the cliff with the fountain. Stand on the spout and let it carry you to the second Chip.

Fall to the area below and Slam each of the three tree stumps. Doing so will result in a Sling Star that will allow you to grab Chip #3.

From here, Spin Jump down to the platform below, with the Bunny and Crate on it. Break the Crate to reveal the fourth Chip.

Finally, backtrack to the beginning and climb the flower to the above ledge. Use the Bee to reach the pink flower, then the cliff above it. Head left and use the springboard to grab the last Chip.

Use the resulting Pull Stars to lead you to the Launch Star. Fling yourself to the next planet and you'll be told to catch the Bunny. This is an impossible task until you find the red button. Upon doing so, hit it to but up a few obstacles. These will slow the bunny down, allowing you to Spin into it. Collect your Power Star reward.

Cataquack to the Skies

Run to the top of the hill and stand beneath the Sling Star. Have the Cataquack toss you up into it and fly to the area above the start. Don the Bee uniform and approach the next set of Cataquacks. Let one of them toss you toward the above cliff, fly the rest of the way as the Bee. Repeat with the next Cataquack, then hit the red button. Collect the Star Bits, move to the fountain area, and use the Launch Star to reach the next planet.

Collect what you can, then have the Cataquack toss you to the green planet above. Once there, free the Cataquack from behind the crates, then lead him to the Cataquack pad (large and wooden). Have the Cataquack toss you to the next isle. From here, make your way to the top and let the Cataquack toss you into the Launch Star.

Eliminate the three moles to reveal the Bee Shroom. Have the Cataquack toss you up to it, then up to the tower (fly the rest of the way). From the tower, fly to the tall central tower, then make your way along the pink flowers to the Power Star.

When it Rains, it Pours

Climb the hill, then the cliff to the left, just as you did in "Star Bunnies on the Hunt". Grab the Bee Shroom, then fly over to the pink flowers. Climb them, avoiding the rain as you go. Grab the next Bee Shroom, then climb the rain clouds to the above deck. Follow it to the very end and Slam the springboard to reach the above swing. Swing to the next deck, grab the Shroom, then work your way up. Slam the concrete circle at the top and climb the vine to the battle arena.

This is easiest if you still have the power of the Bee Suit. However, it's still quite doable without (Spin Jump). Make your way to the opposite side of the arena and activate the red switch. This will temporarily raise a couple of platforms. Make your way over to them, climb them, then jump from them to the Mole's dome. Slam it. Repeat two more times.

Sea Slide Galaxy

Going After Guppy

Hop into the water and swim at the Shark. He'll challenge you to swim through 8 rings. Grab the nearest shell and do just that. Upon completing the course you'll be rewarded with a Power Star.

Faster than a Speeding Penguin

Speak to the red penguin to start the race. Swim and Spin your way to the red shell. Once you have that, avoid all of the obstacles, swim through all of the rings (speed boost), and beat those Penguins! It's a tough race, so practice, practice, practice!

Upon winning the race you will earn a Power Star.

The Silver Stars of Sea Slide

Make your way to the first island and collect the Bee Shroom. Fly to the top of the tree, then to the moving cloud. From here, fly to the top of the arch, where you'll pick up your first Sliver Star.

Dive in the water and swim to the island with the Starting Line. Head left and hop into the cannon. Aim yourself at the Shroomship, then use the Pull Stars to reach the second Silver Star. Make your way to the Sling Star to return to the ground.

Hop in the water and swim to the next large piece of land, which has on it a tower. Grab the Bee Shroom from the base of the Tower, then move out toward the water. Climb the blocks to the left, then fly to the top of the palm tree. Fly straight up for the third Silver Star.

Hop down and take the Sling Star back to the beginning. Work your way backwards. Head up and around the tree to the clouds. Pass over the clouds and continue up the tree. Fight and/or avoid the Spiders, then continue to the top for Silver Star #4.

Work your way back down to the clouds and let the moving cloud carry you to the structure below. Spin the valve to release the water and hop in. Make your way to the top of the structure to collect the final Silver Star. Return to the beginning to collect the Power Star.

Bonefin Galaxy

Kingfin's Fearsome Waters

Hop into the Launch Star and set sail for the underwater planet. Once there, you'll be introduced to Kingfin. Swim for a Shell and follow the boney fellow. When you get a straight shot at his ribs, Spin and send your Shell at him (alternately, you could just slam into him, but you'll lose health this way). Kingfin will take damage and send two Fish Mines your way. It's best to ignore them and continue your focus on hitting Kingfin with your Shell. Repeat two more times and the big guy will send more Mines your way.

As you're swimming, look for air bubbles, coins, the Health Shroom, and the 1-Up in the chest, as they will all come in handy. Hit Kingfin three more times to destroy him and win the Power Star.

Toy Time Galaxy

Heavy Metal Mecha-Bowser

Hop on the train and ride it to the Launch Star. Once on the next toy set, break the frog (Spin then Slam) and speak to the Robot who tells you his friends have been kidnapped. Move along the yellow platforms and work your way down to the blue area. Unscrew the Bolt, head down to the red step. Move around the pink, avoid the spiral, and unscrew the next Orange Bolt, thus revealing a Launch Star.

Backtrack to the first orange bolt, run across the orange area, then find the third Bolt. Unscrew it. Fall through the hole, then screw the Screw. Cross the bridge and hop into the Launch Star.

Move forward and collect the "?" Coin to reveal a Spring Shroom. Grab it to turn into Spring Mario. To use the Spring, hit "A" when you jump and hit the ground. Time it correctly and you'll fly high into the air. Use the Spring to reach the top of the blue ledge. Move along the conveyer belts to the tall tower, and spring to the top of it. Use the Launch Star to reach the plate.

Collect what you want then use the Spring to reach the Launch Star inside the glass. Just jump to the top and smash through the stone. Finally you'll end up on Mecha-Bowser.

Wall Climb his left foot, screw the Screw, move down the pipe, screw the next Screw, and use the Sling Star to make it to the above level. Unscrew the Orange Bolts to reveal a green pipe. Move down it.

Run forward then hop onto the green arm to the left. Climb it to the top, unscrew the Bolt and quickly hop into the Launch Star.

Take out the Magikoop, then back up and grab the Spring Shroom. Bounce your way to the top of Mecha-Bowser's head, then to the top of the stones. Slam to stones to reveal the Power Star.

Mario Meets Mario

Ride the train around to the Launch Star, then jump into the Star and have it send you to the second toy island. Move around the structure and collect the five Star Chards. One is on the underside, the remaining four can be found on the top side. Explore each and every extension to find them all. And, note, one is on top of a blue screw which is on top of a larger silver screw. Grab that Chard, then spin the Blue Screw. This will make a Chard accessible which was too high to jump to previously.

Once you've collected all five Chards you'll be sent to a Mario island where you must collect five Silver Stars. The Stars aren't hard to find. In fact, you can see them all from your landing pad. The problem with collecting the Silver Star are the obstacles in reaching them. Green checkered squares will disappear once you step on them, yellow squares will flip, and red areas will burn you. Because of this, the best way to collect the Stars is to do so in a clockwise circle, remaining on the outer edge as best you can. This way you will have the easiest path back to the landing pad, which is where the Power Star will appear.

Bouncing Down Cake Lane

Ride the train to the Launch Star and take it to the second toy island. Grab the Spring Shroom and use it to reach the space between the two walls above. Wall jump between them, then make your way along the conveyer belt to the right. Fall off at the end and you'll arrive on a piece of cake. Grab the next Spring Shroom, if necessary, then make your way up to the rotating cake. Move clockwise around it. Just past the double forks is a Sling Star in the sky. Use it to reach the third toy island.

Climb the ice cream cone and jump from popsicle stick to popsicle stick to reach the lollipops. Ride around to the icy side, avoiding the red rings as you go. Move up the ice stairs (easiest if you're not on skates), then jump to the next set of rotating lollipops. Ride them around to the next ice shelf. Climb the pole and fall into the cannon (you may want to take the back route, as there's a Health Shroom for you). Aim yourself at the Launch Star and use it to reach the next delicious cake.

Climb the spoon staircase to the cake. Once there, blow out each of the candles by standing near its flame and Spinning. Once all of the candles are out a new Launch Star will appear. Use it.

You will arrive at the battle arena. You've done this before...just never on a cake. Avoid the electroballs and make your way over to the Spring Shroom. Use it to reach the domed mole and Slam him. Repeat two more times to reveal the Power Star. Note, it is my suggestion that you don't take out the little enemies early on, as they tend to give up Coins. Only take them out when in need of health.

Note the trapped Launch Star at the beginning, then work your way around the planet to the Bullet Bill dispenser. It is your goal to lead one of those Bullets all of the way to the Launch Star dome. Once that is complete, hop into the Star and ride it to the next area.

Move around the sinking platforms (they'll return to normal once you're off of them) to the far end and return the green coconuts to the octopus creatures. Hit them both to reveal a Launch Star. Take it to the battle arena.

More sinking platforms, which means you will need to move constantly. Defeat King Kaliente just as you did last time, by returning his coconuts to him with a Spin move. Never stay on one platform to wait for the return. Instead, see which direction it's going, then quickly make your jump. Hit him three times to earn the Grand Star.
