Introduction

Controls and Terminology

Direction

Up, Down, Left, and Right to indicate direction. In the map, North South East and West, following the mini-map.

Over Limit

You'll get this near the beginning, and it has four levels to it. Fill up the gauge by attacking and getting hit, then use the D-pad to activate. Here you can use burst artes and mystic artes. A small bar beneath your character will indicate how much time you have left. Level two you get through the story, but Level three and four are synthesized.

Synthesizing

You can synthesize at merchants with the various items you get from battling monsters. Bosses will yield items more valuable. Note that you can make considerable money selling the items themselves, which usually go for 100 gald each.

Sorcerer's Ring

A ring you get from Rita in Shaikos. Will activate blastia at level one, and can also stun enemies, giving you an advantage encounter. At level three, it can open certain areas.

Secret Missions

A certain way to wound or kill a boss. The descriptions are listed in each battle, and you get an achievement for it. You've completed a secret mission when the camera focuses on the boss, and 'Great!' appears on screen. Some are rather easy, some you need or the battle is incredibly hard, and some are near impossible.

Broken Aque Blastia

Ted comes to Yuri talking about the water blastia. When you gain control of him, walk back to find a save point. Then walk up the stairs to trigger a cutscene. Continue up the ramp when you're finished. Walk to your left and past the shop you'll get a scripted event. You'll recieve the Wonder Log. Go up the stairs here.

Infiltrate the Royal Quarter

After Yuri knocks out the guards, go up the path and turn left, following Repede, and up to the mansion. Go around the left, and into the house. Go up the stairs, and to the farthest door.

Before you leave, check the two tables on either side of the door to recieve a magic lens and 100 Gald. Leave through the door facing you. After the quick fighting tutorial, you'll get another cutscene.

Dungeon Escape

After the prison scene, check at the back of Yuri's room for an apple gel, then open the door and save your game. Walk to your left and check a chest near the sleeping gaurd to get a magic lens, and a chest further to the left in the next room contains your belongings. Walk through the arch on the left.

Meeting with a Mystery Girl

Defeat the two gaurds, go to your left, and defeat the next gaurd here. Sneak up the stairs if you can. Go through the long hallway for some items, and then you go back out and up the next flight of stairs and through the arch. After the gaurds and the chat, go through the hallway.

Fight the gaurd, and go into the dining hall on the right. Check the painting in the bottom right corner for an egg, and check the adjacent room to restore HP and TP. Back out in the hallway, and sneak past the next gaurd, and kill the second gaurd to get a life bottle in the chest. Go through the arch and up the stairs.

In this next room, open the chest for an apple gel, and save your game. Sneak past the gaurd, and go in the room on your left. Kill the gaurd ,and the chest has 200 Gald. Back into the hallway and into Flynn's room. After a short cutscene, you get your first boss battle.
