Find Inspector Drept in Auldale to learn about the hag who set a trap for you in Keeper Compound. Enter Drept's workshop through the window.
Save. You need to get to Auldale in the NE of Old Quarter, where you currently are. You are now on the roofs. How convenient. Go South and jump to the scaffolding on your left. Jump the gap over the street and grab the Gas Arrow. On this roof, to your East is a path. Watch out for the Enforcer, take him out, and continue East. Drop down to the main street. You're near the East Red Hand Fence. From here, head North to find the Blue Fog entrance to Auldale.

Auldale is the rich part of the city. Look at your Map. Find the Pub. From the start, head to the South path, follow the stairs, avoid or take out the Guards and you'll soon see the Pub on your left and a wooden cart in front of you. Facing East, look to the window at the end of the path, the one with the Hammer symbol on it. Approach it and you'll automatically go in.
Movie time! Inspector Drept will tell you about the last time he saw the hag, in the Shalebridge Cradle, an old Orphanage and Insane Asylum. Are you kidding me? A haunted Orphanage AND Insane Asylum. This is too much. *shivers*
Go to Shalebridge Cradle to see what you can learn about the hag. The Cradle is in Old Quarter, near the gate to the Docks.
Before you exit Auldale, go up to the Fence and sell your stuff. Exit Auldale back to Old Quarter.
The entrance to Shalebridge Cradle is near the Docks. It would be a good idea to visit the Docks Shops to sell stuff and stock up on stuff. Especially Flashbombs, Fire Arrows, and Health Potion.
When you are ready, enter the Blue Glyph to start the Shalebridge Cradle Mission.
NOTE: Be sure to stock up on Flashbombs, Fire Arrows, and Health Potions prior to beginning this mission. Having Holy Water is a good idea, too.
This is one of the scariest levels in any game I have played. Perhaps because it is unexpected, perhaps because little girl ghosts scare the beejeebies out of me or perhaps the fact that Shalebridge Cradle is both an old Insane Asylum AND an old Orphanage. You gotta be kidding me. Two of the most frightening haunted places, combined.
Save. First, head West and grab the three Water Arrows in the fountain. Then, go East and you'll find a storm basement door. Open it and go down the stairs. Notice the spiral staircase on your right. Go by it for now. Continue along the path, going through the pipe-lined hallway. You'll get to a ladder going up and one going down. Go up. Try to use the Electric Switch.
Find a fuse and use it to repair the generator in the Storm Cellar.
Go back down the ladder, and down the next ladder. To the NW is a room with a lot of shelves containing vials of stuff and you'll also find a scary cage. To the South is another pipe-lined hallway. Take the pipe-lined hallway. Here you will find the Generator and the burnt out fuse. You need to find a fuse.
The Fuse is in the attic. Go back up the first ladder and take the pipe-lined hallway back toward the spiral staircase that I pointed out earlier, near where you enter. Go up the staircase. You are now in a room with a lot of options. Basically, they all lead in one way or another, to the Lobby, except for the next spiral staircase which leads up to the Attic.
Before you take that second set of spiral stairs, go to the East door and enter the Treasurers Office. Inside are some candlesticks and a Diamond Goblet and in the safe, a Gravecourt Red, a SPECIAL LOOT ITEM.
Go back to the room at the top of the first spiral staircase. Find the little closet with the Oil Flask and the Health Potion. To the left of that room is another set of spiral stairs. Go up.
Have goosebumps yet? There is a knocking coming from behind that door. Go through the door, you are now in the Attic. In front of you is the FUSE. Before you grab it, go to the portrait leaning against the wall. Hit "Use" on it. Ahhhhhh! Scary little girl. Scary little girl! It's Lauryl. She's the blue spirit with the little girl shadow with the blood spot underneath her, where she was MURDERED! Again, Ahhhhhhhh!
Once you have composed yourself, grab the Fuse. You have also been given a new objective, to find a vial of Lauryl's blood.
Grab the Fuse. Head back down the spiral stairs, and then back down the next set of spiral stairs...you're backtracking. Go back through the pipe-lined hallway and back down the ladder. Go to the Generator and replace the Fuse. Yay. You have light!
Find a vial of Lauryl's blood in the Storm Cellar and drop it down a drainpipe. There is a drainpipe in the Lobby.
Exit out and head back to the room with all of the shelves and the vials. In that room, you'll find Lauryl's Blood. Lauryl will also let you know the history of the scary cage. I think this calls for an Ahhhhhh!
Time to get to the lobby. Go back to the ladder and go up. Go up the next ladder. Go through the South door and you'll see a reception desk, two staircases, and two drainpipes under the staircases. Use either drainpipe to get rid of Lauryl's Blood.
Well that's that. What? Lauryl needs you to find more of her scary things. Great.
Retrieve Lauryl's nightgown from the White Hall, and then incinerate it in the Morgue.
Exit the Lobby to the North and go back to the ladder. Instead of using the ladder, open the gate door by hitting the power switch next to it. Go through. To the East is the Staff Tower. Ignore it for now. Instead, head North and go through the Blue Fog to the Inner Cradle.
Save. White Hall is to the West. If you go forward you'll find yourself in the Hall of Records. Read the register of patients on the desk then head West to the White Hall. In front of you you'll see two table and a little closed area with a small fireplace. To the North and South are patients rooms. There are also Zombies patrolling the halls and some inside some of the rooms.
Go South, you'll see a sign for "Meal Hall," continue into the area with all of the rooms. If you see an insane Zombie with a cage on its head...a cage on its head for gosh sakes!...then use two Flashbombs on him to kill him. You can read the room numbers by highlighting the sign above each door. You need to go into "No. 5." At the back of this cell is a fake wall. Start highlighting stones and removing them. Hanging there is LAURYL'S NIGHTGOWN.
Time to head to the Morgue to burn it. Look at your Map. The Morgue is in the NE, down an elevator. Head across the Hall of Records and find the elevator going down to the Morgue. Call it up then hit the bottom-most button to go all the way down. At the bottom you'll see the furnace ablazing. There will also be a Zombie. Take him out with Flashbombs. Go up to the Furnace and highlight it and burn the Nightgown. Before you leave, go to the body storage refrigerators and open all of the doors to find the Bag of Gold Teeth, a SPECIAL LOOT ITEM.
Find one of the "toys" Lauryl mentioned and bring it to the right place to enter the Cradle's memories of the past.
Oh man, Lauryl, now you need me to go into the past as one of the patients? Geez. The deal here is that each patient had a toy that they liked. In each and every cell (No. 1, No 2., etc.) there is a toy. You need to bring "x" toy to the place where it needs to be used. For example, the Telescope in room No. 5 needs to be taken to the Observatory. The Blunt Utensils in No. 2 need to be taken to the place mat in the Meal Hall of White hall with the tables and the fireplace. You can find out where each toy is and where it needs to be used by reading the open book on the desk in the Hall of Records. You only need one toy in order to return to the past. There is no reason to get each and every toy. So, take the elevator all the way back up and go to the Hall of Records and read the open book.
For ease, I have included where each toy is located and where it belongs. I've also included what is inside each cell in addition to the "toy". That way you can use this list as a central source of information.
No. 1 - Wax Mask - In Shock Therapy room. Take it to dummy hanging in the Seclusion Chamber.
No. 2 - Blunt Utensils - In Cell No. 2. Take it to the Meal Hall in White Hall, place it on the placemat on the stone near the fireplace and the two tables. Ruby Goblet.
No. 3 - Unlit Candle - In Cell No. 3. Take it to the operating table in the Morgue. Three Moss Arrows.
No. 4 - Clockworking Tools - In Cell No. 4. Take it to the chair in the Shock Therapy Room, North of Hall of Records.
No. 5 - Rusty Telescope - In Cell No. 5. Take it to its tripod in the Observatory. Golden Dagger.
No. 6 - Infant Ashes - In Cell No. 6. Take it to the Exercise Yard, South of the Hall of Records, on the cart.
No. 7 - Rotten Birdhouse - In Cell No. 7. Take it up to the Balcony via the ladder on the North wall, between the two doors, in the room South of the Hall of Records which has the fireplace. Zombie. Gold Coins.
No. 8 - Warped Viktrola - In Cell No. 8. Take it to the table in the Lobotomy Theater, North of Map. Silver Mirror, Silver Comb.
No. 9 - Tinder Box - In Cell No. 9. Take it to the Fireplace just South of Hall of Records. Oil Flask.
You DO NOT need to grab each and every toy. Just one will do it. When you do get shot into the past in the form of a patient, you will not have any tools/items/weapons. If you get caught you will have to go find another toy in order to return you to the past. However, if you are sneaky enough, you will only need one of the toys.
Before you head into the Past, I recommend search the rest of the Inner Cradle for Loot. You can take a look at the Loot List for more detail. When you feel ready, go ahead and make the leap into the Cradle's Memory by finding a "toy."
I recommend going into Cell No. 2, grabbing the Blunt Utensils and then bringing them to the Meal Hall in White Hall which is the area with the two tables and the fireplace near a door on each side. Place the Blunt Utensils on the placemat on the stone. The placemat should be glowing green and you will be able to highlight it.
Bammo! You are now back in the past. Don't get caught. If you do, just go back to a previous Save to save you the trouble of finding another toy and repeating the process.
While in the Cradle's memory, find Lauryl's diary in the Nursery Tower, and then incinerate it in the Morgue.
Save. Look at your Map. The Nursery Tower is to the East of the Hall of Records. Sneak there. Pick the lock on the door. Before heading up the stairs, pick up the Silver Candlestick on the wall to the North.
Go up the stairs and peek in on the Nursery. You'll see a Staff Member patrolling. Watch as he stops at each bed and sneak by him using either the right or left wall. LAURYL'S DIARY is in the SE of the room, the back right, in other words, on the floor near a bed.
Search for more information about the "Hag" who attacked you.
BEFORE YOU LEAVE THE NURSERY, go the podium at the far end of the Nursery and read the INCIDENT REPORT. This is the information about the "Hag" who attacked you!
OK, now that you have Lauryl's Diary, you need to go to the Morgue to burn it. You know where the Morgue is because you already burned her Nightgown. Take the Morgue elevator down. There is a Staff Member down here. Sneak along the left wall while he is at the operating table. When he turns his back, highlight the furnace and burn the Diary.
While in the Cradle's memory, find some "Dissolution Serum" in the Treatment Rooms, and use it on the bloodstain in the Attic.
Still in the past, exit out of the Morgue and take the elevator all the way back up. Head North and West a tad to find the door leading to "Treatment Room A - Wet-Wrap and Shock Therapy." Go North in this room, grab the Silver Candlestick. When you go all the way North in this room, go East down the dark hall. Follow the wall. This is the back way into "Treatment Room B - Lobotomy Theater." Near the operating table is the DISSOLUTION SERUM that you're looking for. It's on a shelf. There is also a Staff Member near the table. Drop down, grab the Serum, and run back to the dark hallway you were just in. Even if the Staff Member sees you he won't catch you. If he does, just go back to a previous save or find another toy and try again.
Next, you need to head to the Attic. The Attic is back out in the Outer Cradle. Go South of the Hall of Records and go through the Blue Fog.

Save. Go South avoiding the Staff Member. You'll soon be back at the Door Switch and the ladder going down. Go down the ladder. Follow the pipe-lined hallway and then head South and you'll see the spiral staircase leading up to the Attic on your left. Take the next spiral stairs (you've done this before, remember) all the way up to the Attic. Here, use the DISSOLUTION SERUM on the blood stain on the floor.
Lauryl is free!
Meet Lauryl downstairs in the Lobby, and leave the Cradle with her.
Sounds great. Time to leave the Cradle, or is it? Head down the first set of stairs. Be careful, there is a Staff Member patrolling the area. Go through the SW door, around the metal catwalk, through the room with the apple and a note on the table, and down the stairs to the Lobby. There you will see the spirit of Lauryl. Follow it to the Blue Fog and lea....WHAT? I can't leave? Egad man! The Cradle remembers you because you've been here too long.
Lock yourself in the cage down in the Storm Cellar to enter the Cradle's memories as yourself.
Save. Head North through the Lobby until you get to the ladders. Go down both ladders into the Storm Cellar. At the bottom go through the NW door, into the vial storage room where you got Lauryl's blood. Enter the cage. Shut the door.
Leap to your "death" from the open window at the top of the Staff Tower.
Great. One more thing to do. Save. Look at your Map. Find the Staff Tower. Climb up both ladders. Go through the gate door and face East. This is the Staff Tower. If there is a Staff Member patrolling just wait for him to go away. Go up the stairs. Open the door and go through. Make your way North, avoiding the Staff Member and enter the elevator and push the top-most button to go up.
Save. Head North around either side of the elevator and you'll soon see a table with a bunch of Staff Members sitting at it and the window that you need to jump out of beyond the table. Nothing fancy here, just run for it. Run, jump onto the table and then run to the window and jump out. Yay!
Steal at least 40% of the loot.
