24/7 Facility Upgrades

24/7 Upgrades are the Cyan (blue) icons that you'll see appear on your in-game map. There are 3 types of upgrades (listed below). Each category has 9 upgrades. You have to earn an upgrade by completing the requirement. For example, at the shooting range, you have to hit "x" targets to earn the upgrade. Each attempt at an upgrade costs 1 Badge. Your badges are found in the lower right of the screen. It takes 100 Reward Points to earn 1 badge. When you have earned the upgrade at "x" location the Cyan Icon will turn to Gray to indicate that you've been to that location.

It doesn't matter what location you go to. The first one you go to will be upgrade #1, the second one you go to will be upgrade #2, and so on. The location is not tied to the upgrade. With that being said, I have listed the locations of the upgrades as I came upon them and completed them. It is not, by any means, the proper order. You can do them in whatever order you like. I just thought the locations would help if you are looking for one in particular. Also note that there are more locations than actual upgrades. But, don't worry, there are only 9 upgrades per category...they just threw in the extra locations to be nice.

Descriptions:

Upgrade #1: Dual-Target Aim
Destroy as many targets as you can. Not much to this one. Just let your auto-aim acquire a target and pull the fire button as fast as you can. After each target reload because manual reload is faster than auto reload. It'll save a few nano-seconds for you. You should be able to destroy the 8 necessary with no problem.

Upgrade #2: Aim Assistance
During precision aim, holding the trigger button, your reticle will turn Green to indicate a Neutralizing Shot and Red to indicate a Head Shot. For the challenge you have to shoot 7 Neutralizing Shots (Green) without hitting any civilians. The one tricky shot is the moving target. Make sure to lead the target a little and don't be scared to shoot off a few shots in a row. Remember, if you reload, you'll have to re-enter Precision Mode. Be patient, the reticle locks on fairly easily if you just take your time.

Upgrade #3: Fast Reload
This upgrade will make your reloading speed faster. You must destroy or Neutralize 10 targets. Head shots don't count. Don't hurt any civilians. For the first 4 that drop simultaneously, just fire as fast as you can. You'll probably get 3 of these. Then, go into Precision Aim and get a Netralizing (Green) shot in on the target behind the civilian. Then, go house on the two, then four static targets. Again, you'll probably miss 1 of the 4. Next, shoot between the two civilians but don't go for a head shot. Aim for a Neutralizing leg shot. That should be 10.

Upgrade #4: Fast Aim Speed
This is a key upgrade. It greatly helps with moving targets. You must destroy or Neutralize 12 targets. Don't hurt any civilians and don't go for any head shots. You can only miss one target.

Take out the first one with normal fire. The next two are moving targets with civilians thrown in. Get what shots you can while the targets merge in the middle, then, wait for them to turn the corner and blast both of them. Then next 4 are easy. Then, you'll have to go into Precision Aim to get the target on each side of the civilian. After that, easy sailing.

Upgrade #5: Laser Sight
You have to get 10 Neutralizing shots. Destroying the target and head shots don't count. This is a difficult one and may take several tries. Really no trick here. Just learn where the targets are coming from and wait for the Green Reticle. For the moving targets, you may have to lead them a little to get your shot.

Upgrade #6: Flash Light
Destroy or Neutralize 10 targets without hurting any civilians. You shouldn't have to enter Precision Aim at all for this upgrade. Just fire away as fast as possible. It's not hard to get all 12 targets.

Upgrade #7: Scope
You have to get 10 head shots. Not easy. The trick here is to reload and go into Precsion Aim after each and every target (or set of targets). This way, time will slow down for you for each target and you'll have a fighting chance at getting 10 of them. This one took me about 6 tries and I'm a pretty good shooter. Also, you're going to have to lead the moving targets a little. Also, be patient. When you're in slow mode it takes a few seconds to register the Head Shot. I find this upgrade rather useless, but, whatever.

Upgrade #8: Top Accuracy
You have to destroy or Neutralize 12 targets while maintaining a 50% accuracy. No head shots or civilian casualties. Just like the last one, I want you to reload and then re-enter Precision Aim after each and every set of targets. There's no use in just firing away because you'll hit at least one civilian. Go for all Neutralizing shots. This upgrade increases your accuracy level.

Upgrade #9: Hollow Point Ammo
Destroy or Neutralize 15 targets. Geez. No head shots or civilian casualties. This one is a little crazy what with all the moving and the civilians. If there are no civilians then just open fire and try to destroy the targets. If there are civilians, just go into Precision Aim and fire into the targets as fast as you can. Remember, you don't necessarily need Neutralizing shots and you don't have to worry about accuracy, so, just lay into them. When the targets are moving really fast, the slow mode of Precision Aim does help. This upgrades makes your bullets do more damage.

Upgrade #1: Running Attacks
When fighting an opponent you can get a running start and use your Punch, Kick, or Jump Kick Buttons to perform running versions of each. They do a little more damage than a normal hit. Simply break 12 wooden things and/or dummies to earn this one.

Upgrade #2: Back Attacks
Using your normal fighting buttons, if your back is to an opponent, you'll automatically do a back attack. This is a pretty easy one. When the first wooden thing comes down your back should already be to it. Push a fighting button (punch, for example) and it'll do the move. Then, don't move, just wait for the next target to drop and engage it. Continue doing this. You can take them out in rapid succession. You should be able to get 20 very easily.
When fighting an opponent you can get a running start and use your Punch, Kick, or Jump Kick Buttons to perform running versions of each. They do a little more damage than a normal hit. Simply break 12 wooden things and/or dummies to earn this one.

Upgrade #3: Ground Attacks
This is one of my favorite upgrades. When an opponent is down you can jump on top of him and do some damage. The Punch Button is my favorite as it is a good ol' elbow drop. However, the kick button pounce seems to be a little faster to recover from and helps when you're trying to beat this challenge.

Upgrade #4: Tiger Sweep
When an opponent is dazed enter this combo: Kick, Jump Kick, Kick. To earn it simply stun each of the dummies then enter the combo.

Upgrade #5: Tiger Claw
This is a nasty upper-cut. When an opponent is dazed enter this combo: Punch, Kick, Jump Kick. To earn it simply stun each of the dummies then enter the combo.

Upgrade #6: Leaping Tiger
This is a great roundhouse kick. When an opponent is dazed enter this combo: Jump Kick, Punch, Kick. To earn it simply stun each of the dummies then enter the combo.

Upgrade #7: Dragon Kick
This is a great drop-kick. When an opponent is dazed enter this combo: Kick, Jump Kick, Kick, Jump Kick. To earn it simply stun each of the dummies then enter the combo. This may take a few tries as it is your first 4 button combo. When the wooden things come down, just break them to get to a dummy.

Upgrade #8: Dragon Fist
This is a great super-punch. When an opponent is dazed enter this combo: Punch, Kick, Jump Kick, Punch. To earn it simply stun each of the dummies then enter the combo. When the dummies on the ground appear, do a ground attack to get to the next hanging dummy.

Upgrade #9: Flying Dragon
This is a nice flying kick. When an opponent is dazed enter this combo: Jump Kick, Punch, Kick, Jump Kick. To earn it simply stun each of the dummies then enter the combo. When the dummies on the ground appear, do a ground attack to get to the next hanging dummy.

Upgrade #1: - Peel Out
While stopped, hold the Gas and Brake button simultaneously. Then, release the Brake button. You can hit 3 obstacles. No more. You must perform one Peel Out. Just do it at the beginning and you'll be all set.

Upgrade #2 - Rapid Stop
Push the control stick right or left then double tap and then hold the Brake Button. You must be driving forward to do this. On the course, do at least one Rapid Stop and you can only hit 3 obstacles. This is a fun course.

Upgrade #3 - P.I.T. Maneuver (Precision Immobilization Technique)
Hit a car you're chasing at about 45 degrees to make it spin out thus stopping it without destroying it. This is a difficult course. You get two chances at performing the P.I.T. Right from the start do a Peel Out to gain speed fast. You'll see the first drone car take off. If you can ram him. Do it. The second chance you have is around the first corner. If you didn't get the first car right on the first section, then come out of that first turn with moderate speed and you should be right next to or behind the second drone car. Ram him. This is just one of those that you'll get lucky on one time.

Upgrade #4 - Downshift Boost
Pull down (back) on your control stick and double tap the Gas Button. It give you a little extra boost. Perform one of these and don't hit more than 3 obstacles.

Upgrade #5 - 90° Turn
Press Gas and Handbrake together to make tight turns easy. Just perform one such turn during the course and take the rest easy.

Upgrade #6 - Fwd Switchblade
Double tap and hold the Emergency Brake button (Grapple Button) to do a quick turn around.

Upgrade #7 - Back Switchblade
Ah yes, the quick turnaround whilst going backwards. It's the same thing as the Fwd Switchblade, just backward. To complete the track you have to go in reverse where the gate tells you to and then reverse. You only have to do one back switchblade. However, I found a nice glitch. Go as fast as you can directly at the first "Reverse" gate. Don't slow down. You'll go right through it. You are now on the outer part of the track. Go ahead and do one Back Switchblade to qualify. Then, drive around and take the second turn off you can make. There will be one gate to wait for and bam, you're right at the finish line.

Upgrade #8 - Two Wheels
You can drive on two wheels. Use either: Right, Left, Right then double tap the Gas/Accelerator Button and hold or do it with Left, Right, Left, then double tap the Gas Button and hold. Pretty cool.

Upgrade #9 - Nitro Boost
About time! While pushing forward triple tap the Gas/Accelerator Button.

Dogg Bone Locations

After you complete the game you can go on a hunt for Dogg Bones. Once you get your first Dogg Bone, look at the map. All the rest of the Dogg Bones are on the map for you. I recommend after about every 10 you get to drive to a Parking Garage (Yellow "P" Icon). This way, the game will save. My PS2 froze when I had about 9 of them and all but 2 were there. Once you get all 30 either go to the next mission by driving into the Green Light or find a Parking Garage. Make sure to save before you exit out. When it is complete you'll have earned "Dogg Patrol." You play as Snoop Dogg in a hydraulic car (use your D-Pad) out solving crimes. You can choose this option from the main mission select screen and then you can choose your patrol area. It gives you an hour to solve as many crimes as you can.
