According to GamesIndustry.biz Tecmo has agreed to alter or remove certain violent actions in "Ninja Gaiden" for its European release on May 14th. The "gory decapitation" scenes have been removed, yet the the shuriken weapons, which were recently removed from European copies of "Tenchu: Return from Darkness" for the Xbox, were left in for the 16 rating by pan-European ratings body PEGI. GI's sister site Eurogamer.net calls the actual impact of the change to the game "minor".
