It's a little victory with a huge psychological impact. Yes, for the month of April, 2004, the Xbox outsold the PS2. According to Microsoft, backed by sales data from NPD, the Xbox accounted for 51% of US console sales. Microsoft cut the price of the Xbox on March 30 to $149. This helped with the sales increase. During, E3, however, Sony lowered it's price to match the Xbox. I'm sure that the PS2 will regain its dominance but it now has a chink in its armor. A big green X-shaped chink.
