NFL 2K5 - Online Bugs

According to
Gamespot and many message board posts, "ESPN's NFL 2K5," football game is experiencing some online bugs. Both the PS2 and Xbox versions are suffering from "login and roster problems" while the Xbox is also having issues with accepting or receiving challenges. The former problem will be fixed by this Friday while the latter will be fixed by August 6. Some are speculating that the rush to beat Madden to the street is the cause for these problems. I say if the game is highly rated, is priced at $19.99 (or less in some stores), and has minor online issues that are fixed then what's the big deal?
