Metal Gear Solid and Ape Escape?

There was a little surprise at the end of the "Metal Gear Solid 3" trailer at the recent Tokyo Game Show: apes. To be more specific, apes from one of our favorite game series, "Ape Escape." What are these cute and cheeky monkeys doing? Well, they are part of a sub-game in "Metal Gear Solid 3." And why not? Solid Snake is good at finding things. The apes are good at hiding. I find this hilarious. And, let's remember that "MGS3" is set in the 60's so maybe Snake got into some magical mushrooms.
