DS Sales to Hit 5 Million, Profits Triple

Nintendo has increased its sales projection for the
Nintendo DS to 5 million units by the end of this fiscal year, March 30. At first, Nintendo expected to sell around 1 million units in NA and about 1 million units in Japan. With NA sales out of control and pre-orders in Japan of 2 million, Nintendo now expects to have 5 million or more sold with copies of games in the 15 million unit range. I'd say the DS is a legitimate hit. To boot, Nintendo projects sales of the GBA to be 16 million and software sales for the GBA to be 77 million units. Due to all of this, Nintendo has raised its profit outlook to $875 million, triple the profit of last year. Guess who's back, back again...
