As we reported last week, over 500,000 Nintendo DSes were sold in the US during the dual-screened handheld's first launch week. Now, as the DS's launch week is coming to an end in Japan and the Japanese sales reports are beginning to trickle in, it seems our friends across the pond also purchased 500,000+ Nintendo DSes. This adds up to a a global installed base of over a million units, putting it in line with the 2001 launch of the GameBoy Advance. I think I hear Sony's knees shaking.
