As we've reported previously, Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich is waging a war on violent video games and retailers who sell such games to kids. While most everyone agrees kids should not be playing "M" rated games, many are questioning the Constitutionality of Blagojevich's proposed laws (as similar state laws have been shot down do to the infringement of kids' 1st Amendment rights), while others, including the author of this opinion piece from the Rockford Register Star are pointing out Blagojevich's fixation "on easy, obvious, populist causes that get people talking and gain him some national exposure but have little impact on quality of life in Illinois".
