EA and Ubisoft in "Talks"

Today in the Wall Street Journal, as reported by MSNBC, EA and Ubisoft are holding talks just a few months after EA bought about a 20% stake in Ubisoft, which Ubisoft deemed "hostile". Just because the two sides are talking, however, doesn't mean anything. In this case, actions will speak louder than words and any more buying up of Ubi by EA will tip the balance of power of voting rights in their favor (currently EA holds 20.88% of voting rights while the two Ubisoft founders hold 22.8%). Since EA purchased its stake in Ubi, Ubi shares have risen 95%. Be careful what you wish for, I guess.
