EA to Offer Overtime Pay

In an article today on MSN Money, Electronic Arts (EA) has decided to offer some employees pay for the overtime they put in. Recently EA has been lambasted for working many of its employees well beyond the 40 hour mark without compensation. They claimed that during "crunch time" (the final few weeks of a game's development) employees were expected to put in the time necessary, sometimes upwards of 80 hours. Anymore, though, say EA employees, every week is a "crunch week". This move is in response to a class action lawsuit filed against EA by its employees demanding compensation. EA makes a ton of money. I'm happy that they have chosen to address the problem.
