Sony Ordered to Halt Sales of Playstation and to Pay $90 Million

According to many sources, including
Reuters, Sony was ordered by a U.S. court to halt sales of its Playstation consoles in the US and to pay $90 million to a California company, Immersion Corp., due to a patent infringment case. Immersion Corp. holds a patent for the technology of a vibrating controller that they claim Sony stole. Sony will not pay or halt sales pending an appeal of the decision. It also begs the question of who's next? Microsoft, Nintendo? They both use vibrating controllers? We'll just have to wait and see.
