Xbox 360 to be Unveiled on MTV

Microsoft announced this morning it will unveil its next generation Xbox on a May 12th MTV special. The show, hosted by self-confessed gaming fanatic Elijah Wood (known to most as Frodo Baggins from The Lord of the Rings films), will feature actual footage from next-gen games, along with online connectivity and personalization details. While the announcement makes no mention of Microsoft's intention to reveal an official name and release date for the next console, I'd bet a good amout of money that we'll have both by the time the special comes to an end. Look for "MTV Presents: The Next Generation Xbox Revealed" on May 12th at 9:30PM Eastern, and May 13th in other parts of the world.
