Video Games Aren't the Problem

Wouldn't you know that the one time a decent editorial comes out defending video games and the bogus laws legislators are trying to pass to "protect our children from the violence", it's in a small North Carolina newspaper with a circulation of under 15,000. Ah well. Circulation means little to us, as we're more interested in good writing. So, with that being said, check out Ray Waters'
Video Games are not the Problem from the
Rocky Mount Telegram. He does a nice job of breaking down a specific lawmaker's decision to create a law because she witnessed a two year old being drawn into a video game a ten year old was playing (imagine, a two year old fixated on something on TV), while he also reminds everyone that kids are rarely the ones purchasing violent video games. Parents buy the violent video games, despite clear warnings on the box and from video game cashiers. As Waters says at the end of his editorial, "Let's not blame video games for human stupidity".
