What's Going to Happen to My Old Xbox?

This brings up the question of backwards compatibility for the Xbox 360 (still unconfirmed). Granted, there is a vast library of great games for the current Xbox, but will people be willing to throw that all away for the Xbox 360? One idea that popped into my head that would make MS the gods of the gaming world would be to offer a trade-in voucher on current Xboxes, say $50, towards the purchase of the Xbox 360. As long as the Xbox 360 is backwards compatible, you could still play all of your current Xbox titles on the 360 and you'd have a brand new console for $50 off. I know I'd go for it.
