EA Delays "The Godfather"
Friday - July 15, 2005
According to
CNN Money, EA has pushed back the release of the highly anticipated
The Godfather to the first quarter of 2006. The move sent shares of EA down nearly 3.86% or $2.33, with some time left in today's trading. My feeling on this is don't release the game unless it's perfect. EA knows that this game is getting a ton of attention and if they release a crap game, well, then they'll be lambasted for it. Games with so much riding on them need to be error-free. What is funny is that Wall Street has reacted so negatively to the news. EA isn't a Take-Two, with only a few good franchises. Even if
The Godfather came out this Fall and tanked, it wouldn't affect EA too much.
