Reaction to CBS News' Piece on "GTA: SA"

Last week, Cynthia Bowers, reporter for the CBS Evening News, did a piece on Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas and the "Hot Coffee" mod. In CBSNews.com's Gamecore section, reaction to the story was consistent: it was terrible. Brian Crecente, editor of Kotaku.com, wrote, "Jesus Christ, if you’re a national news program covering a national issue you would think you would devote, I don’t know, five seconds to a bit of research before making a complete ass of yourself... Apparently, not if you’re CBS News." There are five different opinions on the piece, and you can read them here. My opinion is that Cynthia Bowers and those who gave her the story should be fired. An insecure mom who doesn't even try to understand the story which she is covering has no place on the nightly news. It's bad enough already.
