The second Xbox 360 rumor of the week was actually a rumor a couple of weeks ago, but I missed it at the time. However, it is still holding true, so I figured it was worth reporting. According to Computerandvideogames.com, many retailers have already sold out of their first and second allotments of their Xbox 360 consoles. A few have moved on to their third allotment, but there is no guarantee that those third allotments will be here by Christmas. Other retailers have opted to stop selling pre-orders for now, including Amazon.com, Bestbuy.com and Circuitcity.com (also note that neither Gamestop nor EB online are taking pre-orders). This pause in sales has led many to speculate there will be an Xbox 360 shortage. Others believe its an effort to hype up the Xbox 360 and force people to get their pre-orders in. Only time will tell.
