Gamers Get Hollywood Makeover

Wired News Online, where you may find a glimmer of hope for the future of gamers in Clive Thompson's article,
Gamers Get a Hollywood Makeover. In the article, Thompson points to a scene in "The 40-Year Old Virgin" which actually depicts gamers in a realistic light. Thompson then contrasts this with previous images of Hollywood gamers during a time when directors, themselves, had no clue about gaming, and ended up forming a culture that didn't understand gamers. Now that the Nintendo Generation has grown up and are sitting in director's chairs, we may begin to see a change. Now we just need the Nintendo Generation to start filling political seats, so our nation's leaders will stop treating us like ultra-violent wannabe cop-killers who could snap at any moment.
