"Halo" Movie gets Peter Jackson

In some late-breaking news today, Bungie has announced that Peter Jackson, his wife, Fran Walsh, and the talented team behind The Lord of the Rings will be Executive Producers for the Halo movie. Reuters is reporting that, "Universal will oversee the film's production and domestic distribution. Fox will handle international distribution..."Halo" will be shot in Wellington, New Zealand, and will use Jackson's production and post-production facilities there." The film is due out in mid-2007. Oh boy, oh boy. Will there be a viral marketing campaign behind this one, too?
