Bono Elevates Video Game Studios

Elevation Partners, a US-based equity firm who counts U2's Bono amongst its partners today revealed that it has merged video game developer powerhouses Pandemic Studios and BioWare. Pandemic is a relative newcomer but has had a string of hits with Mercenaries, Destroy All Humans! and Star Wars Battlefront. BioWare is our favorite RPG developer with games such as Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic and Jade Empire. The joint effort will allow the companies to share management, talent, and ideas. On a side note, Elevation Partners earlier this year tried and failed to purchase the UK's Eidos (Tomb Raider, Hitman) but lost in a bidding war to SCi, another UK company.
