DS Lite sells like crazy in Japan

IGN is reporting that today's launch of the Nintendo DS Lite in Japan has been more than successful, with stores selling out before they opened early this morning. While long lines certainly aren't rare with the launch of new gaming devices, it certainly says something that people are lining up for a redesigned gaming device.

The success of the Nintendo DS has been remarkable. Remember when people thought it would fail because it was gimmicky? And there Nintendo was, telling us it was time for a Revolution. The more I play Nintendo games (remember, I just played Chibi-Robo), the more comfortable I am with their upcoming Revolution. I have confidence in them again, and that feels good.
