Ballmer: Xbox will capitalize on PS3 delay

When Sony announced it had to
delay the release of the PS3 from Spring 2006 to November 2006, it was assumed by many that all of Microsoft spent the day partying. While we have no confirmation of any parties, its clear that Microsoft CEO Steven Ballmer is quite excited for what the PS3's delay means for his company. In an interview with
Fortune, Ballmer made it clear that the news means the Xbox 360 has a better chance at winning the seventh-generation of console wars, and Microsoft is going to use the next few months wisely, as "In every other generation, the first guy to 10 million consoles was the number one seller in the generation". Game on.
