Judge puts Louisiana video game law on hold

As we reported yesterday, Louisiana's new anti-video game law, which was penned by the infamous Jack Thompson and passed through the Louisiana legislature without a single vote against it, was challenged by the EMA (Entertainment Merchants Association) and ESA (Entertainment Software Association). Today U.S District Court Judge James Brady has granted the EMA and ESA the temporary restraining order requested, which prevents the state of Louisiana from enforcing the law until the June 27th hearing where the EMA and ESA will seek a preliminary injuction of the law.

Cross your fingers that Jack Thompson will show up, as he has a knack for making judges believe he belongs somewhere in the loony bin.
