While sales of the console have slowed significantly since the launch of the PS2, and with only 3.3 million Playstations being sold in the last fiscal year, Sony has yet to announce plans of stopping production of the console. However, with the launch of the PSP (Sony's handheld gaming machine) coming soon, with many of the titles in production for the PSP being remakes of Playstation games, and with the launch of the PS3 expected in late 2005 or early 2006, one would have to assume the Playstation's time is coming to an end. However, if you have to leave, it's best to leave as the biggest selling console ever sold, is it not?
Congrats Sony!
