, the world's largest video game chain, has acquired Rhino Video Games
, the largest independant video game retailer in the Southeast US. They did so by purchasing Rhino's parent company, American Satellite & Video, for an undisclosed sum of money. The acquisition expands Blockbuster's video game business beyond the rental and reselling of used video games in its namesake stores at a time where movie rental revenue is falling due to competition from mail rentals and widespread availability of discount DVDs.
