So, you say you want a Revolution? Nintendo seems to, as "Revolution" is the code-name they've given to their fifth console expected to hit the gaming world in late 2005 or 2006. Nintendo president Satoru Iwata is refusing to give details of this new "Revolution", due to fears "competitors will steal the plan", but he promises it will deliver "new ideas" for entertainment, and will, most certainly, be more than just a more powerful Gamecube.

Iwata, who spoke to reporters in a Tokyo hotel, went on to discuss how "dazzling consumers with more sophisticated imagery" is no longer working in the gaming realm. "What we need is not a next-generation machine but a next-generation way of playing games," he stated. "We need to propose a new idea so that the game industry can overcome its current crisis."
