In a surprise move aimed at making a dent in EA's "Madden" franchise, Sega and ESPN have priced their upcoming (August) "NFL 2K5" at only $19.95. This comes as no surprise, really, as the recent press release regarding Take-Two, Sega, and ESPN's
deal to distribute sports games says, "We are also adding the compelling element of value pricing to this high quality line, creating a significant point of differentiation for both core and casual gamers." "NFL 2K5" is often referred to as the superior football game but doesn't have the panache of the "Madden" series. Now, $30 of difference may change a few minds. We'll see how EA responds.
