According to major video game retailers, GameStop and EB Games, the PC version of "Doom 3" has a release date and it's August 3rd. The date is published on both of their websites with GameStop even making a prominent square ad saying, "Release Date Just Announced." No word yet from id Software or Activision but as we reported a little over a month ago, the plan was to release it sometime this summer. The Xbox version has a tentative release date of "fall 2004."
