Now that we're done with "Tales of Symphonia" it's time to play something a little lighter. We're going to hit Blockbuster later today and rent "Athens 2004," the official game of the Olympics. I've heard good reviews but I doubt it's as good as "Summer Games," the 1984 hit that I played endlessly on my Commodore 64. I also played a lot of "Winter Games" (stupid Biathalon!). I wonder if all the US sprinters in "Athens 2004" will also be virtually disqualified for doping.
Our brief hiatus from walkthrough writing will soon end as "Viewtiful Joe" will be released for the PS2 on August 24th and then "Pikmin 2" will debut on August 30th. From all accounts "Viewtiful Joe" is basically the same as it was on the Gamecube with the exception that Dante from "Devil May Cry" is unlockable and playable. And, if you know anything about Lunabean, you know that one of our favorite games is "Pikmin" so the launch of "Pikmin 2" is something of a holiday around here.
It feels nice to have an open weekend. It allows time to master "Athens 2004." I'll do my best to not take a step on my landing and to get a good start from the blocks.
