Reuters UK is reporting the video game industry has officially reached its lull, which is expected to last until the next round of consoles hit the market in 2005/2006. While price cuts and the arrival of new games from successful franchises ("Grand Theft Auto", "Halo", "Doom") are expected to boost sales in the latter half of 2004, sales for the entire year are expected to be "flat" in comparison to the $18.2 billion the video game industry raked in in 2003.
